1 Bedroom Whistler Town Plaza - Deer Lodge Condo

Would return again. This was our first couples vacation together, and now we are looking to return to Whistler for Christmas and our wedding next year. Winnie was a great host and the location was perfect for a couple or family to ski Whistler in the center of the action. The in-room washer and dryer was incredibly useful for our 2 week stay. The hot tub was across the street in another building, but not prohibitive to use. The walk to the gondola is a leisurely 10 minutes and warm (unzip all layers until you're on the chairlift and on higher elevation). Emphasis on leisurely as people were passing me left and right, including my now fiancé but he was just happy I was skiing gleefully despite the turtle speed. 10 minutes is probably accurate for families with young children with closer to 5 minutes for teens looking for 1st chair. Location is also easy from the gateway bus dropoff for those taking the shuttle from Vancouver.

Very comfortable accommodation for the two of us, nice & quiet as property was on the opposite side of Village Walk. Close to free shuttle bus to ski fields. There were a few maintenance issues that I noted & passed on to the Reception staff at Deer Lodge. Staff were friendly & very helpful

Stayed here a few years ago and returned again this trip twice a week before Christmas and a week after new year. Conveniently located in North Village right on the Village Stroll, very close to Olympic Plaza, Market Place and everything else. The condo is situated at the back of the building overlooking the library and is relatively quiet. Just a short walk to the free shuttle bus stop and main supermarket. It is a reasonably spacious one bedroom apartment, older in style, but comfortable. The furniture, appliances and crockery are getting slightly jaded, but are functional. The fridge is a bit noisy. A few more glasses and a baking dish would have been useful. Some pantry items are provided which is handy, but certain essentials were in short supply or not there at all, eg coffee filter papers, al foil, washing detergent. The staff on the front desk are very friendly, helpful and more than happy to store your luggage if you arrive early. Overall a really good place to stay.

Spacious 1 bedroom in great location

Winnie's apartment is great overall and in a very convenient location! The bed was super comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed. This is a great location situated right in the centre of all the restaurants, grocery ,shops and amenities you could ask for. The Gondola was a 8-10 minute walk and only 5 minute walk from gateway loop . The place was clean, very comfortable space for a couple or a family of 4, this condo is overlook the city library, so very quiet. Communication with Winnie was really easy and we enjoyed our stay. We loved it and will book again for next ski vacation.

Nice stay in this clean and spacious unit. In the middle of the village so easy access to everything, but some noise from the Main Street late at night. Comfortable bed in my opinion. Air conditioning a big plus during summer, even that it was a bit noisy. Little more dishes & glasses would be great, but we managed ok with the ones the unit had. Would stay again!

Great stay close to the playground and marketplace in the heart of the village. Bit of a hike to the lifts, but just what we were after. Unit was reasonably equipped, certainly enough for a long weekend stay. Fantastic value and will be back again!

Second stay. Good basic accommodation. All we needed for our 3 week visit. Good location, central to everything Whistler. Reception very helpful. Hope to be back next year.

We loved our stay at Winnieâ??s lovely apartment and would definitely stay here again. It was just the right size for our family of three and was very comfortable.

One thing that I really liked was that it was quite dark in the bedroom at night with very little light from outside street lighting. It was also nice and quiet (for the most part) There was one evening where I could hear people in the hallway. However most people staying at this location are very considerate of their neighbours. The bed was super comfortable and our daughter slept well on the sofa bed.

I would have maybe liked some larger microwaveable bowls/casserole dishes and cooking pots but the unit was adequately equipped for cooking.

The lifts are a 10 minute walk in ski boots which we find easy and Deer Lodge is close to some great bars and restaurants. I love Caramba which is right across the Village Stroll. We had a great trip to Whistler and wouldnâ??t hesitate to recommend Winnieâ??s apartment. Thanks again Winnie!

My family and were quite pleased with the rental. We were happy with the location as we there for a wedding and it was close to all the venues we were attending.

Great location, nice size condo and has AC! AC is really nice to have if you plan to stay in mid summer. Sofa bed is not great but worked.

Showed up late in the evening. The front desk staff was helpful and we got right in. The condo was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone with 1-4 guests.

Good location. Cleanliness ok. The furniture & dishes quite old, but ok to use. The mattress in the bed was comfortable to sleep. The mattress in sofa bed was not comfortable. I think it was good overall value and could book again!

Property is very well used and somewhat dated, however all the necessities were provided. Could use some drinking glasses,also a dish towel. Area this condo is in is excellent!

This rental is in an excellent location but the condo was not clean when I checked in. All I got in response to my complaint was that the owners spoke to the cleaner about the issues. If the owners guaranteed the condo was clean I would stay again because of the location in the village.

I hate to write a bad review but I just have to for this property. As soon as we walked in there was a bad smell. I immediately opened the windows to air out. The smell was not going away. I then smelled the bed comforter and ripped it off because it was bad. I then thought to be safe, wash the sheets so I started taking those off...that's when I saw the fresh pee circles and pubic hair on the fitted sheet below. They didn't bother washing that one? Disgusting!! There wasn't any laundry soap but plenty of old empty boxes so I just put the water on very hot. I emailed the owner and didn't hear back till the next afternoon. They sent someone to put new sheets on and make the bed but I had already done that. They left the smelly comforter in the living room though...ooookaaaay. I went out and tried to find some blankets for purchase and finally found some and paid $100 each. They were small and we needed 2 of them. The place is very dated, the furniture and the carpet smell so bad. Nothing has been updated. I just don't recommend staying there. The locations is alright and they have nice lockers downstairs for skis and stuff but the condo is just not nice. I'd say you get what you pay for because it is on the cheaper side compared to others but with fresh pee puddles and pubes...it should have been free. And to spend an extra $200 on blankets is ridiculous.

Not a luxurious condo but perfectly adequate for comfort and great location for convenience. Worked out really well for us - 5 min. walk to the lifts and bus drop right out front. All staff very courteous and caring. Great - esp. for the price!

Deer Lodge is a great place to stay, close to everything. Top value!

Clean and tidy - great location could do with a larger TV

We have stayed in this apartment for 8 nights. The last time when we came to Whistler was 12 years ago. Not sure if other Whistler apartment are the same, but for the length of time that we stayed, there was no service such as cleaning of rubbish etc. Appliances are a bit dated but functional.

This condo in Deer Lodge was exactly as advertised. It was perfect for a weekend getaway. A few caveats: the TV is really small, however you are in Whistler so you should just get outside and enjoy the geography. The choice of glass ware made it difficult to really enjoy our wine as there was only one true wine glass.

Towels and linens were very good and we plan to stay here again on our next girls weekend!

Booked this place for the Whistler 50 and wasn't expecting much but when we arrived the check in was fast and the place was way better than expected. Very clean and provided us with lots of towels. This place is in the village close to the Brewhouse and everything else.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a central place to stay.

The house is very good, we had a great stay but could improve the natural ventilation through the windows. We would stay at the house again.

Front desk staff were extremely helpful! Air conditioning only in the bedroom in unit, had to call maintenance to get it to work after an hour. Maintenance came and fixed it but still hot and humid in the rest of the unit. Air circulation not enough. No laundry detergent to clean towels so bought my own. Adequate amount of pillows and bedding. Requested a fan but was told they were sold out and owner unable to purchase. Kitchen was ok, microwave ok.

Location was good as it was right by Olympic Rings and good access to Ironman events. Overall ok. Not the best but not the worst either.

We had a lovely stay here. The location was perfect (literally in the village, 5 min walk to everything). The condo was as described and very pleasant.

The only downside was there is no A/C in the main living area, only in the bedroom. We were able to manage this by having the blinds closed all day and keeping the bedroom door open so that the cooler air could move throughout the unit. I also had emailed the owner a few days in advance asking a question and never got a response.

But overall happy with the unit and would stay there again.

I enjoyed my stay in this condo. The owners were very responsive, it's in a great location, and the internet was reliable and fast. The bed was also very comfortable.

My 5th stay in Whistler Town Plaza in 17 years and my 7th vacation overall to Whistler. Town Plaza and the Deer Lodge unit we stayed at always has just the right combination of features - closeness to the slopes and restaurants/cafes, in-condo washer/drier, fireplace and great views. Carpet near entrance needed a little work and china selection was a little slim (especially drinking glasses) and somewhat unmatched. Overall, it was clean and desirable and I would return again.

We had an amazing stay, so much so we tried to extend our stay but unfortunately was already booked up well in advance. Perfect spot , lovely location and very helpful friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone

Wonderful location that was close enough to shopping and restaurants but quiet enough to not be kept awake. Space accommodated 4 fairly well if you put the sleeper sofa away during the day. It was also nice to have a full kitchen and enough space for 4 people to sit and have breakfast! The kitchen utensils were sub par.....It would have been nice to have a regular, soft spatula for the only deep dish frying pan that was available but we made scrambled eggs work with a combination of using the metal spatula, a wooden spoon and a rubber spatula. We also had to buy dish soap and laundry detergent (and took the remainder of what we bought with us, sorry but we will now pack with us for next vacation rental stay). And there was also a description that we could gently place a snowboard on the balcony but there was not a balcony and it did not fit in the locker so we left it in the car, which was fine but it would have been nice to know beforehand and not have to carry one more bulky thing up/down to apt.

Overall, it was a fantastic stay and would book again!

Great location! Really enjoyed my stay.

When we got there at 10pm the unit was scorching and there is no fan except for the small ac unit in the back room- when decided to drip water and soak out bed as we were unloading and trying to cool the room down - and there was nothing that could be done until 4pm the following day - so after rearranging the room so our bed wasn't get soaked even after the unit was turned off- we did sleep in the sauna eventually - after they fixed the unit the next day it was fine - washer and dryer was super nice to have. Hot tub is in he eagle building -

What I would do differently next time - bring a fan or maybe the owner could buy one and leave a small fan there for those who like to use the unit in the summer. Had there been a fan it would have been 5 stars - but instead we had one super miserable night of the 3 we stayed.

There was a hot tub, but it's in another building across the street. When I called reception to ask how to get to it, they didn't call back. Well actually they did, but to our home phone - not at all useful!

The room was perfect. All the basics were available without worry. There was only 1 problem with the AC in the main living room, but that has been taken care of by the front desk. Everything else was perfect! I would totally come back and I recommend anyone looking for a place to stay to check this out. Cheers!

My wife and I had a good to stay at the Deer Lodge. The room is tidy and comfortable. Also, the receptionists are so nice and helpful.
