Excellent location downtown, very good value for money,; a few things missiing from the kitchen, but we had brought some utensils, condiments etc with us. Would stay there again. We did use the hot tub across the street at the other lodge once! The walk to the lifts really wasnt bad even withski boots!

Reasonable, but with limitations

Charles from Mt Evelyn, Australia
Date: Feb-29-2020 for a stay in Feb 2020

This property is listed as sleeping up to 4. It has a Murphy bed and a couch which can be transformed into a bed. But the unit is so small, you would be battling to fit 4 people in. I was alone in that unit and it felt crowded. With the bed down there was little room to move. You could find a spot for one suitcase, two at a pinch but no way could you fit four anywhere. The kitchen is reasonably equipped, but the dishwasher is old, noisy and dishes don't come out very clean. On the plus side, the bed is comfortable, the WiFi is fast. When I say that I would recommend this property, it would be for a maximum of 2 people, without any extra children.

Winnie Sung Deer Lodge

The place was very cramped for 3 people and it advertised it’s good for 4 people. It did not feel clean there. Dirty bathroom floors, film on dishes. Had to wash everything before using. No coffee filters for the coffee machine and as simple as an egg flipper was not there. Things I would not expect to have to bring with me.

The shower head doesn't dispense adequate water. It made showering very difficult. I love the location... just steps from the gondola.

Great location.

Great location. Mid village and an easy walk to everything. Room was fine could use a little updating. We were a family of 4 and made it work. The fold out bed is horrible. The Murphy bed was fine. Toilet paper holder was broken. It took us a few minutes to figure out the kitchen is stocked because All dishs were in dishwasher. Finding garbage room was an adventure better directions would have been appreciated. I will define toy to back to Whistler not so sure about this condo.

Clean and good value

Ivy from San Carlos, United States
Date: Aug-14-2018 for a stay in Aug 2018

Washer and dryer in unit was very convenient. The air conditioner was also excellent for the heat wave days.

However, there was no way to reduce the fan. The Murphy bed mattress was not comfortable - hard and lumpy. Need some coffee filters. Towels were clean and fluffy. The unit also has paper towel which was running out when we checked in, so would be nice to have the supplies more replenished.

The hot tub is in Eagle Lodge which is a different building, so a bit inconvenient. The bath is nice so we ended up soaking in the bath instead. The high ceiling in the underground parking garage was very helpful. The front desk was also very helpful as well. Overall clean and good value.

Excellent Studio Unit at Deer Lodge

Rob from Chilliwack, Canada
Date: Aug-03-2018 for a stay in Jul 2018

The location was could not have been better for the purpose of my stay. The unit was clean and as I was the only one staying there, it was perfect size. Appliances worked well. Only a couple of minor issues, but nothing that would prevent me from coming back. First; the drinking glasses were covered in hard water stains, could use replacing.

Second; the shower head seemed to have build up of calcium deposit? Could not get it to swivel down. I am six feet tall and the spray from the shower was hitting me in the face when standing at the very back of the tub.

Overall this was a very nice unit, great location and would definitely stay there again.

Perfect stay for a perfect getaway

Joshua from Surrey, Canada
Date: Jan-30-2018 for a stay in Jan 2018

The suite was the perfect place to stay for 2 people. It was right in the village with easy access but it was also real quiet with no sound at all. The space itself was actually a good size as well with plenty of space. Our front door to the suite was not working when we arrived. We mentioned it to main reception and they figured out the battery to the fob in the door had stopped working. They had maintenance up in minutes to have it all fixed.

The only negative (Which I would not even call a negative) is that the cleaners came well before the 10am check out and just knocked once and opened the door while we were still proceeding to get ready. Other then that, I highly recommend this unit to anyone wanting to stay in lovely Whistler.

The whole stay was enjoyable, front desk was great help and the building and unit was easy to find.

Deer Lodge Review - Unit 2**

Eugene from Surrey, Canada
Date: Aug-02-2017 for a stay in Jul 2017

We only had hot water in the shower for our whole stay. Some valve broke and due to the IronMan event they could not fix it until the day we're checking out (the broken part has to be ordered). We were offered the public shower area in the hot tub at Eagle Lodge as an option so it wasn't like we could not take a shower/bath. I would have preferred to be transferred to another unit but I don't know how this could work in this type of rentals.

Nice condo in village north. Great value!

Tomas from Barrie, Canada
Date: Jan-28-2017 for a stay in Jan 2017

Overall, I was quite pleased with my experience here. The studio was great for one person and would be adequate for two. The location was very convenient; a 3 minute walk to a free frequent bus to the gondola to both mountains. Close to the IGA. The place was nice and quiet which I really appreciated. The washer/dryer were great as was the full kitchen. I wasn't that keen on the Murphy bed--not the most comfortable but ultimately adequate. I left the bed down all week and ate at the counter. It would be a bit of a chore to take the bed up and down every day but OK. The fireplace was cozy and real nice and overall I would rate my stay a 4/5. Very reasonable price for the quality/convenience of accommodation. I took the Whistler shuttle in and out so as to save the $15/night parking fee and the hassle of driving Hwy 99. You don't need a car in Whistler village. Hope to come again next year.

good value

brent from abbotsford, Canada

Great little unit located in a perfect area. The unit itself is quite tiny but it is just a studio which is all we needed this stay. The murphy bed was surprisingly very comfortable but the pull out was really springy, not very restful after a long day on the hill. Bedding was old and tattered I'd recommend bringing your own.

The wifi was quick and I had no problems connecting. There was plenty of towels in the washroom. The shower head was awful, no full body coverage and it felt like razor blades. It is located close to groceries, restaurants, shopping, clubs and Whistler Olympic Plaza. Parking is $15 a day. The condo could use some upgrades but for the price, it was a good value and I'd stay there again.

What an Ironman weekend!

Calvina from Vancouver, Canada
Date: Jul-29-2014 for a stay in Jul 2014

It was a very nice stay and it's located at a very prime location. It's so close to everything which makes this very convenient for us. We were here to watch the Ironman race this past weekend and it was great! Everything was clean and comfortable. If you are looking just for a basic and inexpensive place to sleep and cook your meals, this place is fantastic. However, if you are looking for more space, perhaps you should look elsewhere as this is a studio suite.
