What's Barely Legal All About?
Barely Legal Motorsports offers world class Whistler backcountry touring in custom built, street legal hot rods. They serve a number of scenic destinations and areas hidden from the beaten track, including Black Tusk, Jane Lake, Alexander Falls, the Callaghan Valley (future home of 2010 Olympic events) and natural hot springs like Sloquette.
Take A Ride In A Custom Hotrod
These hot rods are custom built in Whistler BC -- originally concieved by Bill Norton, an all star football player, and crafted by local millright Len Werden. With over 9 years of ingenuity and determination, Len who took a rough concept car and streamlined it into reality: an environmentally friendly yet powerful ATV, fueled to have an engine that would run on injected hydrogen. (Unfortunately, their hydrogen filling station is currently on hold. In the meantime, Bill and Len have shifted their sights to use natural gas instead, when the pipeline arrives in Whistler by 2008).
Commitment to Eco-Friendly Activities
The result of Barely Legal's dedication to building a solid and environmentally friendly adventure vehicle did not go unnoticed. Barely Legal received an invitation to be one of only two Whistler activities showcased 24/7 in Torino during the 2006 Olympic winter games. This was quite an achievement not to mention an honour!
