We loved our stay at The Smith's Ski Chalet. The amenities where great, the ski in/out was fantastic if there was snow on the road, otherwise a few metres walk to the ski run was super easy. There was ample room for 3 of us and made it work for a couple of nights for 5. The servicing of the hot tub every 2 days was fantastic and reassuring that it was working at its optimum.We will definatly be back for another stay.

Great Chalet on a Great Mountain

This was our second stay at the property and we will be returning again for the 2021 season. That should say it all. The location is perfect ski in / ski out and a short shuttle ride to the village from the stop right outside. The chalet is clean, warm and very comfortable and the onsite management is responsive and quick to rectify any issues that may arise. The kitchen is well stocked and the baby weber barbecue does a fantastic job. The boot dryers are a big positive. Thanks for having us back.

This is our second stay, the property feels like home from home. It has everything you need and is in an ideal location with ski in/out access and a short trip into the village using the shuttle bus or a 5 minute walkl. Discounted Lift Tickets: The Biggie Card is your way to savings !!! YOU MUST GET IT BEFORE YOU ARRIVE AT BIG WHITE SKI RESORT. Cards can be reloaded from a cell phone or a computer once you have created a profile. It takes 30 minutes for the data to be processed and reach out gates.

 Here's what you need to know about the Biggie Card:

  • Direct to lift ski ticket – no need to stand in line.
  • Reloadable – the more you reload the more you save and it must be done up to 30 minutes before you approach a lift.
  • NO Blackout dates so you save everyday.
  • Offers great savings over regular and amazing pricing over peak periods.
  • Can be reloaded via website or mobile with the creation of a profile – that is what people forget to do, you must create a profile to reload.
  • Reloaded pass can take up to 30-45mins to become active (Excluding any issues with payment etc.).

Our Ski-in/out property is set directly on Perfection Run itself, with direct access for skiing down to the high speed Snow Ghost Express and the Ridge Rocket Express and Plaza Chair, giving fast access to the rest of the mountain or the village centre. For the evenings it less than a 4 mins walk to the village centre or the free shuttle bus stops just outside your door. Great location!!

This is a NON- Smoking Townhouse. Board & Ski equipment must be kept in the Private Heated Secure Ski Locker. Maximum occupancy of 6 persons strictly enforced. We will either charge a damage deposit at time of booking or if paying by credit card, by booking with us you grant us authority to charge your card up to $1000 for damage, lost items or late departure. You will be consulted before any such action is taken.

Cancellations Made by Guests

All payments are non-refundable. If we can replace your booking, we will refund your money for the proportion of days re-booked. Refunds processed will be subject to a 5% processing fee which will be deducted from the balance repaid. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights, or vacation-related products.

Covid 19 Policies:

We wish to ensure our guests feel confident that they can book with peace of mind knowing we are making efforts to be as flexible as possible in these uncertain times. If your country, government, or airline has an official “nonessential travel restriction” in place for the dates of your travel a refund less a 5% processing fee is offered. This policy applies up to 90 days before the booked arrival date.

Between 90 days and your arrival date guests will receive a 100% booking credit for the amount paid towards a booking for the same property for future travel up to 12/18 months from the cancelation date. Or you can receive a refund of 95% of the value of the booking less applicable fees. This policy applies ONLY if the following restrictions are in place for your booked dates of accommodation " travel is prohibited due to Covid-19 by governments and or health authorities and or if social gathering limits are imposed that apply to Vacation Accommodation limits that would prohibit your group from gathering"

Examples of restrictions:

  • If travel is restricted due to Covid-19 by governments and or provincial health authority restrictions.
  • Government Advisories prohibiting nonessential travel to or from your region
  • Government travel bans, border closures within Canada or from your home country
  • Extensive minimum quarantine periods on either end of travel
  • Airline schedule changes which will not enable you to arrive and depart on your planned dates
    • Credits will be offered only for number of days you were not able to stay in the accommodation for your booked dates due to airline-imposed flight schedule changes
  • Limits of gathering specific to Vacation Accommodation limits as per the Public Health Authority in BC
    • Current guidelines state "Vacation Accommodation is limited to the stated occupancy of the property + 6 visitors at any given time"

Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site

Ineligible Guests Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments Will result in cancelled reservation without refund. Guests can re-book dates if they are still available; deposit will not be re-charged
Privacy The Owner, their booking Contact and this web sites technical administrators agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of their Guests without prior written consent from the Guests, except under force of law, or for law enforcement purposes relating to policy and property violation. The Owner and their booking Contact also agree to not use Guest personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Guests. Guests agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of the Owner or their booking Contact without prior written consent from the Owner and/or Contact, except under force of law or for law enforcement purposes. Guests also agree to not use Owner or Contact personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Owners and their Contact.
Property Sale All bookings will be preserved in the event of a property sale. If the booking is not preserved by the new owner, the new owner will be contractually bound to move your booking at their expense.
Reservation Changes Reservations may be changed in compliance with our cancellation policy. You may lengthen your reservation if availability permits. If you would like to shorten your reservation, please note that your deposit calculated on the original amount is non-refundable; if you have already paid the balance, then your balance is similarly non-refundable. If you have not paid the balance, then it will be re-adjusted to reflect your shortened reservation.
Website Service Fee Website Service Fees are non-refundable, with the exception to reservations made before March 15, 2020. If there is an officially mandated COVID travel restriction being imposed by the countries where the property and/or guest is located, website service fees may be usable as a credit. To claim this credit review, the restriction must be in place up to 14 days prior to your rental arrival date. All refunds will be processed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and any currency exchange difference will not be covered. Please contact between 1-14 days before your cancelled arrival date to have reviewed. Flight cancellations alone will not be approved, a copy of the official Government issued restriction will be required.

Guest Stay Policies

We aim to reduce waste and our environmental impact by providing large containers of soap, shampoo, body wash, hand lotion and household cleaning products vs. one use disposable items. As such, the consumables mentioned here are used by multiple guests ( before and after each guest stay) . Luxury mountain Vacation Rentals and its subcontract employees will not be held liable or responsible for any quality, tampering, injury to guests or occupants of the rental unit if the occupants use any provided products. Guests use these products at their own risk. We try to ensure a clean and safe product for our guest use. If you are uncomfortable using any of these products, we recommend you bring your own supplies with you for your stay with us.

Bike Storage There is plenty of room for locking up your bikes in the Lockable Garage.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
COVID Contact Tracing Requirements The property owner must be able to produce a list of guests who have occupied their rentals for contact tracing protocols in the event of an outbreak. The guest must provide names of whop will be occupying the rental property during their rental agreement.
COVID Maximum Guest Limitation The number of people is limited to the capacity of the space, plus a maximum of five visitors at any given time. Large gatherings will be removed from the premises and no refund will be provided.
Excessive Cleaning Costs C$20 per hour. a charge of C$20 per hour will be charged for any excessive cleaning
Excessive Noise You will be evicted without refund.
Garbage Removal please place garbage in the bags provided. Place bags in the locked garage. Not outside as the large birds will attack the bags.
Housekeeping For the duration of the 2021/2022 season we will not be providing any additional housekeeping services to guests during their stay in the unit. Special requests for additional supplies will be considered on a case by case basis to ensure safety protocols can be observed for both guests and our staff. Noise Restrictions Quiet hours for the building are 11 pm to 7 am. Occupants may be evicted subsequent to noice complaints and will be charged for damages resulting from the noise complaints. The outdoor hot tub area can be used after 11 pm, but please engage only in quiet conversation after 11 pm out of respect for our neighbouring families.
Parking & Ticketing We have a large lock up garage and a car port. Room for two cars. one in the garage and one in the car port

Property Damage Guests authorizes up to $500 charge to credit card if there is damage on their departure. Damage includes, but is not restricted to; noise complaints, common or private property damage, excessive cleaning charges, lost or broken or missing common or private property items,smoking inside the property, pets inside the property and all charges relating to security company or police involvement regarding property occupant's behaviour while in the property or on common premises.

Our unitl sleeps 6 persons but please bear in mind that the loft are is a sofa bed which is not as comfortable as a regular bed. Our unit is very comfortable for 4/5 persons or family with small children. Our rates are very competitive to reflect this.

Thank you for visiting our Web Site! We are Calum & Beverley. We live in Hong Kong with our 18 year old son, Cameron, who after his first visit to Big White was an avid skier and now a keen snowboarder. Some years ago we heard about this special gem and the fantastic 'powder' and we just had to see it for ourselves. This resort represents everything that is beautiful and special about British Columbia. Big White has become our second home. We fell in love with the mountain, its unique ambience, unbeatable snow, great skiing and genuinely welcoming atmosphere. We have had so many memorable holidays here in the winter and in the summer.
