Our large comfortable one bedroom, ground level condo is located in the Gables – one of the best locations in Whistler. Situated between both the Upper and Main village, it is a short 3 minute walk to either the Blackcomb or Whistler lifts. It occupies 4 people comfortably and is strictly non-smoking.

Loved the 4 days we stayed at the Gables, fantastic location. The suite is dated, but everything was functional with a very comfortable bed and hide-a-bed. Very spacious! 5 minutes from both Whistler village and the upper village was ideal for us and while we were off a busier road, never once did we hear traffic.

Comfy home. Decor a bit dated. No leave luggage.

It's 3-5 minute walk from Blackcomb base. We got this literally at the same price as a ski in and out condo at Blackcomb. Only this condo has a bigger living area space. There were instructions to the condo although we needed to clarify the parking situation and housekeeping with the owners.

The condo was clean. Well equipped. As mentioned by other reviewers some of the kitchen and bathroom amenities were starting to look dated. But everything worked. We didn't try the hot tub function of the bath.

There was a log fire which came with 2 complimentary logs. To be honest it didn't really produce much heat and the central heating was more than able to heat up the place! We are reasonably happy with our stay. One thing we were caught out with is with the concierge. We didn't drive to Whistler (took the coach) and assumed we could leave luggage before the check in time of 4pm and booked to ski. Unfortunately the concierge has not been paid to handle luggage so we had to deposit our luggage at the UPS store which is 15 mins walk away. There is a surprising lack of venue to store luggage in Whistler, but regardless it should be made clear to people looking to stay here that leave luggage is not possible.

We had a wonderful time staying at Alex and Martha's property. The check-in was seamless, thank you for the welcome gift. The living room and bedroom have seen some nice upgrades from the pictures in the listing as well. Another nice touch was two fire logs to use in the real fireplace (this is a big deal to me as I love real fires.) This unit is located right on the walkway between the main village and the upper village, which makes it a great location.

Would absolutely recommend and would stay here again.

Whistler Blackcomb is great in Winter and even more spectacular in summer. The Gables is the perfect place to stay to enjoy everything on offer at Whistler Blackcomb. Really enjoyed this condo. The location is fantastic! So easy to walk to both Whistler and Blackcomb base. No need to take the shuttle to the lifts.

The condo was clean and spacious. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked with everything we needed. The television is a flatscreen and is much newer than the one pictured.

I would absolutely stay in this condo again.

We had a great stay. The condo is as described, clean and neat. Very comfortable supportive bed and enjoyed the wood burning fire place. Fire logs were supplied as well. Cozy and in a very convenient location. Outside parking and the short stairway to the garage and right to the underground parking spot. Gables is about 5 min walk to either blackcomb or whistler base, so very nice.

Owner and representative were very responsive. Complimentary concierge service also included to help arrange activities and dining as needed. Will for sure stay again in future.

The stay was awesome. We will definitely rent again from you. Only issue we had was the television in the bedroom is screwed to a small table which made it hard to watch tv in bed which is nice and cozy. I recommend mounting or screwing it to larger dresser up high so easy to see. Hopefully we will visit again this summer. Thanks so much for your use of the unit

Everything about this condo is amazing. The interior is spotless and the description is perfect. The location could not be better. Shirley who was our Conceierge, contacted me on paying the final balance and helped arrange lift passes, ski school and the transfer from the airport. Nothing was too much trouble.

The residents in the other condos were also very friendly and the snow is cleared from the road down to the condo and the surrounding paths daily. The condo was cleaned half way through out stay and towels changed etc which was unexpected.

We had a fantastic time staying here and would 100 percent book again if we return to Whistlerblackcomb.

I stayed in this one bedroom condo for 4 nights, as my 7 yr. old grand daughter was attending a four day ski camp. I really enjoyed my stay. The apartment is in a really quiet location, so we were both able to sleep well, the kitchen had all the equipment that we needed, and it was a 3 minute drive to the Base II meeting place. I hope that we can stay there again next year as her skiing develops.

Great accommodation

This is a fantastic property. It's well located half way between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. It's only a few minutes walk to either mountain. We love it because we don't have to hire a car (we come from Australia) and can walk to the village to shop or eat out. The bottom floor location means there are no steps to climb in ski boots and carrying skis at the end of the day.

The accommodation is well set out with a full well equipped kitchen and a dining table and chairs. The bed is very comfortable and there is storage space in the wardrobe for big international travel bags. We also loved the storage for skis, parkas and boots right next to the front door. This is our second stay at this property and it won't be our last.

Location of the property was ideal - just a short walk to the ski lifts and a festive stroll to the village. Wood burning fireplace and two pesto logs was a nice feature to have. Bed is bedroom was very comfortable. Sofa bed for our adult son wasn't very comfortable but the sofa cushions for our adult daughter made a comfortable single bed. Kitchen was well stocked with the appropriate small appliances and pot & pans. Kitchen could use some paper towels, salt and pepper and some better smaller knives.

We also could of used washable placemats for the dinning room table. We felt bad putting our plates and glasses directly on the table. Could not find any soap for the dishwasher - so had to hand wash all the dishes.

All in all - we had a great stay and would consider renting this unit again.

Good, but could be better

We've stayed in this complex a couple of other times also. We like the quietness of the area while still having good access to what Whistler has to offer.

This unit seems to be typical of what you get while staying here. It's not super a plush luxury hotel, but it's not meant to be. The positives, like I mentioned are the quietness, easy walking access to anywhere, and also the roominess of the units. Another of the pluses is the mud room at the entrance to leave your toys and any outdoor clothing or equipment that you may have.

The one complaint that I had with this unit is that it wasn't the cleanest unit we have stayed in. In particular, the kitchen utensils, pots and pans didn't seem to be washed very well. We ended up washing everything that we wanted to use before using them. We didn't even attempt to use the coffee maker, as it was much to filthy, though there is a Keurig one if you want to buy those packets.

Overall the unit was what we expected, very comfortable and spacious, ground floor ease of entry, and good value for your money.

I am always reluctant to write a review for the Gables as I like to keep it a secret. We have stayed in many condos in this complex over the years and they have all been nice. Some are more updated than others, but all offer the quiet complex, garbage hut, parking, kitchens, laundry and awesome location.

We enjoyed our stay in #2*, the owners were accommodating to our needs and date changes. The condo could use some updating and a really deep clean for those guests that are fussier than me. We would stay here again.

Great mountain bike weekend!

We really enjoyed our mountain bike weekend here. Our priorities were having a kitchen, laundry, wifi, and secure parking. The kitchen was well stocked, en-suite laundry was great, the wifi kept us connected and the underground parking was perfect! We were so close to the lifts and village that we didn't have to drive at all during our stay.

There were lots of extra blankets and pillows which I appreciate for curling up after a long day of riding. As noted in another review the bathroom sink is worn, but everything we needed or wanted worked well (I even found a really sharp kitchen knife for chopping vegetables!)

This property met all our needs very well and we would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Excellent accommodation

For two people this accommodation was perfect. It was spacious and the weather was warm enough to sit on the lovely verandah some afternoons. Plenty of storage for clothes, skis and ski clothing. The kitchen was well set out with many cooking utensils and heaps of cutlery and crockery. We were able to have friends for dinner with ease.

We had a mid stay clean and the cleaners were friendly and helpful. They cleaned around us as we had come back early that day. The Gables location midway between Whistler and Blackcomb is excellent. Easy walk to town for supplies.

We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

Top apartment but needs some TLC

This is a spacious one bedroom property in a top location. The area is generally very quiet but close to lifts, villages and transport. The apartment was well supplied with all necessary equipment and included complimentary fire logs. We would give five stars for all categories but the apartment is tired and in need of maintenance.

Having stayed in Whistler a total of 22 weeks in the last 10 years (including other Gables properties) we feel we have experienced a good range of accommodation. The apartment is generally clean but the large artificial plants are laden with dust. The bed was so soft that I kept rolling into my husband all night. After two nights of no sleep I went to the sofa bed. Several light bulbs weren't working, the latch on the door to the wet room wouldn't close. The bathroom basin was cracked and the bath (the spa didn't work) has lost its enamel finish which makes cleaning hard.

We did enjoy our stay and left the apartment as we found it. We still recommend this place and hope the owners accept these points as it is obviously an excellent investment.

Cosy unit near facilities

A very well situated unit that is close to all the amenities and is an easy walk. Access to the unit was easy for all the party. The unit was comfortable and cosy for our stay. Thank you. Although the unit was surface clean we felt that it needed to have a deep clean. We had a problem with long dark hairs in the unit that seemed to be everywhere. As it was the holiday period we did not contact Shirley and had we done so I am sure she would have been happy to sort this out. The skirting tiles were also very dirty. We appreciate that a high turnover of guests creates problems. These are only observations and they would not stop us returning to the property.

The best location ever

I stayed in this unit on my own (my wife isn't a bike person) and found it brilliant. The location is possibly the best there is in Whistler, quick and easy access to the lifts and a short walk to the centre of the village. The unit is tasteful and well appointed, you will find everything you need to live here comfortably and I didn't find any shortcomings in the kitchen utensil dept. The bed was very comfortable to me and the pillows are amongst the best I've used ever. I found there was a bike wash station at the complex itself so rather than clean at the park, I was able to come back, get changed, grab beer and head down to wash the bike. I ended up riding for 12 days whilst there so grab a season pass if you're going, break even point for me was 9 days and there's no lining up to get tickets! I would certainly stay here again, some friends of mine liked the location so much they purchased one of the units here! Hint to the people staying here, check the dishwasher for any missing cutlery/crockery when you arrive, I didn't and spent the 14 days washing my 1 plate and cup :)

The Gables in Whistler

This is quite a large one bedroom, esp considering it's Whistler. It's quiet yet close to the village. We stayed in Aug to attend our niece's wedding and it was perfect for us. Full size kitchen appliances including dishwasher--yay! As she had a casual potluck for about 20 people, we were able to make chicken wings for the party, pretty impressive as all of us were staying in accommodations in whistler. We brought our kayaks up and were so glad to have secured underground parking for the 4 kayaks. Don't miss the River of Golden Dreams. We hiked up Wedgemount lake--longer than the website states and very steep and quite difficult but it's so worth it--glaciers, lake, etc. We even took the groom out for drinks in the village before his wedding...all accessible from this condo.

Great location. Lacking amenities and cleanliness.

I would recommend this rental for the location as it was close to the village and we were able to walk everywhere. But there were dirty rags laying around when we got there and we didn't have enough towels, kitchen soap, coffee which all would have been nice. Other than that the condo was great and served it's purpose perfectly:)
