The Aspens offers ski in/ski out accommodation in one of the best hill locations in Whistler. It is situated on the slopes of Blackcomb Mountain just a short ski or walk down to the Blackcomb Gondola and the children's ski school.

The underground car parkade has a height restriction of 6’6” (1.98m). Five parking spaces with a height restriction of 6’9” (2.05m) are available on a first-come first-served basis before the electronic gate to the underground parking. Parking is CAD 20 per night and includes all of the first and last day. Free parking may be possible on Spearhead Drive, subject to signage and availability, but is not guaranteed.

Parking Details

There is some free parking on the street except during snow clearing operations, subject to signage. There is underground paid parking under the Aspens. The height limit is 6' 6" (1.98m). The cost is currently CAD 20 per night. For example, if you are staying for Friday and Saturday nights, paying for two nights covers you from when you arrived on Friday until the end of Sunday. There are a few parking spaces outside the parkade gate but you must still purchase a ticket to park there.

3rd year of visiting this unit on the top floor. Perfect quiet unit at the end of the hall with easy access to the stairs. The Schmidt family worked with us to get the dates we needed for our stay . We highly recommend Heidi's property at the Aspens. The location of the apartment was fantastic, the ski slope was at your gate, and it is a very short 5-minute walk to the Upper Village.

The apartment itself is placed on the 5th floor, near to the end of a corridor, which means you have no noise from other residents. The ski valet service was excellent, and check-in was seamless. The apartment itself was well appointed and had plenty of cupboard place.

If you are planning a family trip to Blackcomb, or traveling with a second couple, this is the place to stay.

We had the privilege of returning to stay again in this condo. With the 5 story view overlooking the courtyard, this is my favorite. We rented 3 condo this year in the Aspens , however as the coordinator of the annual ski trip this unit was the one I choose to reside in for the stay. The owners have always been extremely helpful in making sure our stay was 1st rate. The unit is at the end of the hall & close to the stairs so its quiet & easy in /out .

Got to meet Heidi in person on our check out day as she offer us late check out as the shuttle wasn't picking us up until 2 pm. Greatly appreciate the unit & the Schmidt family allowing us to rent from them again this year. They made us feel like family

Great unit except for the noisy neighbors!

The unit itself was very nice - looked out over the courtyard and the mountain, which was nice. The unit was spacious and well furnished, with easy access to the Village.

The main problem that we ran into was that there were no instructions about how to contact the front desk staff in case of an emergency. We were given a phone number if anything needed to be repaired but when there were loud party goers at the pool and then on the balcony of a lower floor unit, I had to get up, get dressed and go to the front desk at 3 AM to ask that something be done. There instruction sheet on the back of the door made clear that we were to be quiet, which were were, and that contact with Security could result in immediate eviction. BUT, we were given no instructions how to contact Security if other people weren't abiding by the rules! Very frustrating and certainly a big negative on our stay!

We have come back to this rental for 3 years now and love it. In the hot summer, we really appreciate the addition of the window A/C unit which worked great this year. We are also very happy with the new dishwasher and stove. The king mattress may be ready for replacement but everything else was in great working order. The location on Blackcomb with walking to everything we could want is ideal. Thanks so much!

The Aspens is a big favorite of ours because of the ski-in-ski-out and all the amenities (valet ski-check-in, ski store for basics such as hand warmers, etc.). This well-appointed two-bedroom suite on the 5th floor of the East tower also has the advantage of no boots on the top floor in the morning. Highly recommended!

Coming to Whistler for over 30 years

We have been coming to Whistler for over 30 years & only a few times have we not stayed at the Aspens. This was the 1st time using the Schmidt's property. It did not disappoint . Being on the 5th floor end gave a whole new view to the mountain. The owners went out of their way to make date adjustments to make us happy. Greatly appreciated, Thank you both.

The beds were wonderful , in other units prior we found some like sleeping on the floor. However this was not the case here. We like the "give & take" pantry , as it let us leave unopened items for the next guests. The only downside to the week was the aspens facility's pool under massive construction (not the owners fault) That some times blocked access to the ski valet .

mixed feelings

For the price we paid it was good value. The TV channel changer didn't work well and there were a few cleanliness issues. One of the beds was a hard and a few lights were out...all minor stuff really. There were a lot of younger people at the aspens and many were parting and all that comes with that. The hot tubs were awesome, and the view from this unit was very nice. Whistler is a big party city in the summer with concerts and events all summer. we stayed during the Pemberton music festival. Seems like Whistler is no longer for just regular families with children but loud and obnoxious teenagers and 20 something teenagers. Too Bad.

Great location if you want a little peace and quiet but still within a short walk to the Village. Lost Lake is also about a 15 minute walk away. Convenient and pleasant. The pool and hot tub were great. It was more spacious than the pictures depicted. Thanks for a lovely time!

We have stayed in the Aspens maybe 20 times over the past 16 or so years and this is my favorite unit. It is slightly but noticeably larger than the other 2-bedroom units, and the 5th floor is much quieter. The unit is spotlessly clean and well cared for, and the kitchen is very well supplied.

Location

Possibly the best slopeside location in Whistler. The Aspens on Blackcomb is located in the Upper Village, just up the slope from the Blackcomb Gondola. Our suite is on the slope side of the Aspens. The ski school and Blackcomb Day Lodge are extremely close, making after-skiing pick up of children very convenient.
