Look no further if you want a ski in ski out condo at Blackcomb. It's a cozy place looking directly to the Blackcomb gondola which is just outside the rear gate of the complex. The condo is well equipped and four of us had enough room to relax apres ski. The bedrooms are on the small side but that's what we expected. They have ski valet next to the pool which is nice. The owner is responsive to our inquiry. Front desk people are helpful. Since you have to walk down to Fairmont hotel for breakfast I would recommend you stock up the fridge with what you need. Some worn in the living room furniture may need to be upgraded or removed to avoid bad first impression even though they are functional.

We’ve had over ten winter holidays in Whistler staying in both hotels and holiday rentals and have always enjoyed Aspens with its proximity to village and slopes. Having a kid using the ski school at the bottom of the slope it was great having very little distance to go to drop off and pick up. We will definitely consider the Aspens next time we return to Whistler.

Just got back from a great stay at this condo. We had such a lovely time we extended our stay for an extra night! We love Whistler but have never stayed at the Aspens before - would definitely recommend it and James’ condo was perfect for our needs. We were traveling with a three month old and three year old - the three year old loved the pool and James was very accommodating in meeting our requests.

This accommodation at the Aspens met all our requirements for a perfect stay. The condo is large with 2 bedrooms and is great for a family of 4 like ours, or even larger. The weather was pretty hot, so the air conditioner in the master bedroom was a much appreciated, as were the fans that were kindly provided by James. The king bed was also a big plus.

The pool and 3 hot tubs were well used by us, and appeared well maintained. I marked the accuracy and description of the property as lower because the pictures provide on the alluraDirect website didn't do the property justice and should be reposted in more light! Thanks, would highly recommend!

Lovely stay in a lovely place can't beat ski in/ski out! The owner was very responsive to us leading up to and during our stay. The lodging itself was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well appointed, but you may need to purchase a sponge, dish soap, liquid hand soap and paper towels depending on what the last people left behind for you. :) You'll want to bring your own shower toiletries as well.

The condo does get a bit warm due to the sun shining in for most of the day, but that's easily remedied by opening the windows and/or sliding glass door upon your return from an awesome day of skiing/snowboarding! The on-site extras were great ski valet, ski shop, hot tubs, etc. I would definitely stay in this condo again, and I highly recommend it!

Perfect location!!!

I highly recommend this place. I always appreciate reviews that detail the pros and cons, so here goes:

Pros: Location (it is a true ski in/out, with a ski valet) Efficient use of space. Given the small square footage, it had everything we needed. There was ample room to sit and chill on the couch, while someone was cooking and someone else was on a laptop in the dining area. We didn't feel "on top of each other." Very comfy beds. Enough towels, toilet paper, dishes, glasses, etc. (So many condos are short on stuff, this one had all the necessities.) Manager was very responsive. When we needed bowls for salads/cooking, she brought bowls within a couple hours. No problem doing laundry in the basement, no wait.

Cons: Needs some updating, i.e., there is no kitchen fan, the outlets in the bathroom are not sufficient for a hairdryer and they kept going out, very few outlets in the master so you can't plug your phone in near the bed. The fireplace is always on. We called the manager who explained that it was just the pilot light, and that it could not be turned off. I own a company that sells heating equipment, and I've never seen such a large pilot light. With all the windows and sliding glass door wide open, and the place was comfortable. It was late March, and just above 0 celsius, low-mid 30's farenheit. Since we were perfectly comfy with the windows open, it did not impact us negatively. I just felt that it was a tremendous waste of energy.

Great location 120 yds from the bottom of the Wizard Chairlift. A real Ski in Ski out location. Three Fantastic Hot tubs that are cleaned and the water changed every night. The ski valet service is a really nice touch. You drop your skis or board off after skiing and pick them up in the morning.

The Condo was very comfortable and ideal for a family or group of adults. If you plan to cook check with the owners to make sure they have the spices and cook ware you require in the kitchen. The accommodations are modern and up to date. The hida-a-bed is great for an extra adult or couple. Merlins Bar is a 5 minutes walk down the Wizard ski slope. A great place to stay and cook you breakfast and dinner. 5 beds two of which are doubles.

We highly recommended this Condo/Townhouse.

Condo was great, it is not as modern/up to date in terms of decor as other units I have stayed in, if you want that, but it is certainly adequate. The TV unit in the master is very small and wasn't working when we arrived. The owner was contacted, I am not sure if it ever got fixed (possibly a cable company issue). Owner is responsive, but this is not a unit managed by The Aspens, so if anything does happen, you call the owner's local contact, not the front desk. Certainly location cannot be beat! Also the pool was shut down the whole time we were there, which was too bad, but this was obviously not owner's doing or fault.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back again as it worked great for our family! Having two bathrooms was great and it was a lifesaver to have enough a/c to cool the place off on the hot days we were there. The location is wonderful and it's so nice to have a pool and three hot tubs to choose from! The kitchen was well supplied with dishes and cookware but do be prepared to come with your own food and paper/plastic staples.

Great stay! The property is perfectly located for skiing (ski in/out) and James the owner was very responsive and friendly. I would definitely stay again.

The apartment is exactly as pictured and has a view of the slopes. The place has a ski valet and hot tubs overlooking the slopes. Friendly staff. My sister rented skis on site). It is more difficult if you have a stroller and need to walk into whistler as the paths were covered in snow and we had to walk on the roads (only an extra 10 mins).

True ski inn was awesome couple little problems like fireplace not working and missing light bulbs no propane for Bbq .. had propane in minutes and fixed fireplace next day and brought us light bulb same day as well. Had all the kitchen utensils we needed and saved so much eating in the room.

The pools and tub cleaned daily and where hot and every thing in gym worked fine.The staff at the rental place where the very best as was front desk for towels or fobs for pools.will defiantly stay in aspens again and this room was fine.Thanks again we had an excellent time here.

The entire complex is in need of an update. This unit is desperately in need of an update, and a good cleaning. Many items were not working properly or were broken including light switches, toilets and hooks. WiFi is spotty at best, so if connectivity is a necessity - look elsewhere or plan to spend $15/day and go The Fairmont at the bottom of the hill. Location of property is great - and that was the redeeming part of the rental.

The ease of working with James was great as he usually replied to my questions in a couple of hours and the room was quiet. Kitchen had everything we needed and great to have stainless steel appliances and a nice working bbq grill that we used once. There are some furniture pieces that could use a fix or update, some change of sheets with stains and window blinds that need repair.

The beds are comfortable and extra blankets are provided. We used the pool and my daughter had fun but a credit card is needed to obtain a fob for access to the pool and towels. Parking is $17/day and the best elevator to use to go up to the room is the north/south. It is a good 10 minute walk to the Village using the path by the side of the pool.

James was a great host. We were impressed by the size and presentation of the suite. We always enjoy staying at the Aspens and will add James' suite to our list of good suites to stay in. It was an easy walk down to the hot tubs.

The kitchen had lots of great dishes and the appliances were lovely. I found the sound/tv system a ltitle confusing but figured it out. And there was tons of extra bedding. The only suggestion I have is that the carpets need to be cleaned.

Summer stay at Aspens

Location in the Aspens is great, so you can see the top of the mountains, part of the hot tub, but there is some tree coverage so balcony feels private. Second bedroom sleeps 4 comfortably. There is air conditioning in master bedroom which really helped because it was so hot outside.

We also love the location of the Aspens with the free bus shuttle available but also an easy walk and bike ride to get to. Would definitely try and book this unit again.
