Spyglass 2 bedroom ski in/walk out condo steps from Gondola-Private hot tub

Spyglass 5B is a beautifully presented ground floor unit in an awesome quiet location, with ski in, ski out options, just steps from Happy Valley and Laraâ??s Gondola, skating rink, beginner areas, ice climbing, tubing and snowshoe trails. The views to the mountains are amazing. Our one month stay in Feb/Mar 2020 felt like home with a large open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. Super comfy lounge for four to five adults.

The owner, Toni, kept in contact with us, checking if we needed anything. This was our 5th trip back to Big White, first time spring skiing, it was a magnificent time to go, the snow was brilliant, weather was stunning.

It is everything we expected and I would highly recommend this unit for families and adults.

This property could not be better located in Big White. The ability to ski directly to the gondola and to even ski home carrying your bags of groceries was amazing! The owner was very accommodating and responded quickly when queries were sent. It was well heated and extremely cosy and had all the amenities you could hope for when on a ski holiday.

We highly recommend this property for anyone staying in Big White and would love to come back ourselves!

Great spot, would definitely stay again. Condo was very comfortable, both good sized bathrooms (awesome!), good location, easy to just kick back and enjoy all that Big White has to offer in the quieter part of town. Easy walk to Happy Valley Lodge, the ice skating, tubing park, beginner slopes and Gondola, and the sunsets were magical.

Great space inside for ski suits and boots; the outside locker for gear is tight if you have a few of you but we usually squeezed in 2 snow boards and 2 sets of skis and poles. Just about everything you could need for general use in the kitchen was provided which is great.

The only thing I would mention is maybe leaving a little more shelf space for guests to use in the pantry (we found we had to shuffle things a bit because we brought a lot of our own food rather than dining out). I also did not read the garage details properly (my fault) but definitely note that a big car will not fit in there - we had a big 4X4 F150 and no chance that was squeezing in. Good space to keep water and drinks though :-)

Lovely property. Really have no 'complaints'. Only issues we had was figuring out how to get in (the main door is kind of hidden as it's around the 'back' - a re-read of the paperwork found it in small print), the amount of ice on the path to the door was a bit treacherous, and we couldn't get the fireplace to work, but that could have been a dead battery/remote. Beds were good, showers were good and for being down by the gondola it really does have a good ski in location.

No need to walk (and no need to take stairs to/from a higher floor) - and you can ski right down (200 ft?) to the gondola from the condo. We didn't need our vehicle all weekend. If we have the same size of group next year we may look to book this property again!

This property is in a great location and is a very comfortable accommodation with all the amenities you need. The hot tub is awesome (clean and hot!) and the kitchen is stocked with everything needed! The decorating is lovely as well.

We really enjoyed the condo and would definitely come back. The only problem we had (and we were warned about it prior to arrival) is the door getting into the unit is very difficult to open at times. We thought at one point we might have to call someone to help us but we tried one final time and it eventually opened.

We would rate the location of this condo among the best, if not THE best in Big White, especially for families with younger kids. The owners are very friendly and accommodating also, and are super responsive. This place is true Ski in/out - you can ski right to your back door (and private hot tub!) at the end of your day! Then, for more fun to explore, it is an easy 2 min walk down to the skating rink and happy valley for all the activities on offer that the whole family can enjoy both day and night.

Inside, the floor plan is amazing, with a huge open living area, good sized bedrooms, well appointed kitchen and a great front entryway bench/storage area where you can get sit to get yourself ready for a day on the hill in the mornings. Plus, a boot and glove warmer right there as well! Then, step right out your door and ski down to the gondola, take a quick 5 mins ride up to the village and your skiing down to 3 different chairlifts! Amazing!

Thank you to the Burns Family for opening up their rental at Spyglass to us. Our family had a fabulous spring break vacation! The unit was clean, well-stocked with bedding and towels and had everything we needed during our stay. We loved the true ski in/out location and the proximity to the Happy Valley Gondola.

Owners provided thorough instructions for the unit and package sent by email answered all our questions. We would definitely book this unit again!

Stayed at Big White for four nights over spring break. Condo was in a perfect spot. Very clean and comfortable. Great if you have younger kids very quite area at night but 2 mins from the short gondola ride to where all the action is. 3 mins walk to the tubing park (also great if you have kids).

Would definitely come back again great little resort and considering it was spring break still not over crowded.

True ski in/out, able to ski back to door. 2-min walk to one of the lodges for drinks, food, etc. Condo very well maintained and stocked - rate this outstanding compared with other condos. Owners super easy to work with and fast response time to questions, etc. Condo and hot tub were very clean, able to get nice and hot (in our experience, some hot tubs don't get hot enough at ski resort condos or renters can't adjust temps.).

Big White is a fantastic ski resort for families. With the Cliff chair offering a good double-black challenge (and great photos opts as the cliff itself is open and faces a vantage point from the Bullet chair) and the other chairs offering beginner to intermediate runs.

Even though we were there at Xmas and it was 100% capacity, we only waited 30 seconds in lift lines or just skied right onto the chairs! Most of the time, we were the only folks on a run or you only see others here and there. Lots of untouched snow spots to find. We did every chair at the resort and would rate Gem Lake as the best overall (but no double-blacks there) runs and snow.

Customer service at Big White is outstanding and the food options will have even city-dwellers satisfied. Would highly recommend this condo to a friend and would return. Stayed Xmas 2015 for 6 nights.

Location: It is true ski-in, ski-out. You can literally ski right to the condo door and it is a short <1 minute ski to the bottom of Lara's Gondola which takes you to the village and access to many lifts. It is far enough away from the village that it is quiet, yet you can get to the village by a 1 min walk to the Gondola and a 4 minute ride to the village. Being close to all the activities (tubing, beginners area, snowshoe trails, snowmobiling, ice climbing) in Happy Valley meant we parked our vehicle in the attached heated garage and didn't use it the whole stay.

Condo: Comfortable beds, the best stocked condo we have ever stayed at (lots of linens, cooking utensils, everything you would need in the kitchen (just bring your own food), glove & toque dryer), high speed internet, satellite TV and DVD players, lots of big windows in the living room / dining room / kitchen area which lets in lots of natural light.

Owners: Owners kept in touch with us and provided us with required information and responded promptly to email inquires. They even checked with us after our stay to make sure everything went well.

We would definitely stay here again!
