We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was clearly described prior to arriving. Great value, the espresso machine is a definite perk and easy-access to the gondola. The hot tub and steam shower were a hit after skiing and the bose speakers were great for playing music while prepping meals. Our family had a great time staying at this condo over Christmas 2019. With two small kids (1.5 & 3.5 years) the condo was child friendly and the kids loved the bunk beds. Everything was easy to find and the kitchen was well equipped. This is our 2nd time staying in this unit and forth time in South Point. This is definitely our favorite location on the hill.
This suite is very modern, clean and well equipped. The owners were staying next door and took the time to say hello. They have added an espresso machine since the last time we stayed and this was a nice touch. It's a long way to the nearest Starbucks.

We loved our stay at #2*
It had a very comfortable lounge & bed. The unit had everything we needed for cooking & washing. Accessibility to skiing & the village was fabulous. Our main problem was with the noise from people walking & running upstairs late at night & early in the morning. Perhaps people should be made aware of how their noise travels to the units underneath.

We have been staying at Southpoint for several years now and once again we had a fantastic fortnight in 'Beautiful Big White'! Congratulations to the new owners and we hope you enjoy your new property as much as we do when we fly over from Australia. We were lucky enough to have amazing snow conditions and even a number of 'Bluebird Days' thrown in for good measure.
We love everything about this condo and thanks must go to the new owners for the additional items delivered during our stay, the hot tub maintenance staff and the housekeeping staff. Sadly it looks like February 2019 is already all booked out so we may have to wait until February 2020 to return. We're counting the days already!

Overall a great stay, I would give 4.5 stars. We have stayed in other ski resorts, paid only a little bit extra, but the amenities and services available was extraordinary. The house was well equipped, warm, lovely decor, had all the appliances needed for long stays, great location (ski in and ski out) - though if you can't ski, walking up the hill to get to the house from the gondola can be abit of a pain after the first few days.
The kitchen would of been awesome if they had provided some condiments like tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, ketchup etc. This is handy for overseas visitors who don't want to buy such large quantities of these items. The only thing provided in terms of "food" was a spice rack and some salt and pepper.
The hot tub was awesome, we stayed at No. 22, up on level 2, facing the driveway, so we could use the hot tub in private - I've noticed other apartments the hot tub would be facing the ski tracks, so not so private.
South point is below the Village centre, so you have to ski down to the gondola, take off your skis, then take the gondola up to the village. Then you have to either take the gondola down and walk up the hill to get home, or can ski straight home. While kitchen amenities could be improved on, the bathroom amenities was great! We returned to Big White after a year's break and what a delight it was to walk into South Point again. It's such a wonderful apartment, beautifully appointed with fantastic heating, comfortable furniture and stunning views. The three weeks we spent in Big White were quite magical and we were lucky enough to have many days of fresh powder snow and a number of 'Bluebird' days as well! Thank you to the Housekeeping Staff who serviced the apartment during our stay and the hot tub maintenance crew who kept the hot tub in pristine condition. Five Days at Southport

I thought the condo and its amenities -- kitchen, bathrooms, beds (except for the sofa bed, which had a broken frame) were first-rate. My reservations relate to issues external to the condo itself. Specifically, we had what my son referred to as "heel walkers" in the condo above us; they made so much noise just walking about the condo that it seriously interfered with our quiet enjoyment of the property. My son called on them with a polite request that they try to walk a little more quietly, but that request was ignored. Happily, they apparently slept at night and didn't rise again until 7:00 am or thereabouts, so there was some relief at night.
My second concern had to do with the storage of garbage in the garage. It was disgusting, with broken plastic bags of food waste on the floor, an overflow of beer and liquor bottles in the recycling section, and an overflow of garbage bags in the bins. I didn't get the impression that the property managers were delivering an acceptable level of service, at least in relation to the management of garbage. In the same vein, though not as serious, were the presence of sodden cigarette butts on the walkway outside the front door of the condo. (No one in our group was a smoker.)
As noted, my concerns relate to issues external to the condo and are not to be construed as a complaint about the condo itself. Having said that, it would have been a small improvement to provide separate bins in the condo for garbage and food waste, on the one hand, and recyclables (glass, plastic, etc.) on the other.View Full Review Owner Has Responded

We have had the pleasure of staying in the Southpoint building a few times over the past few years and it never disappoints. This was our first time staying in this particular unit and it completely lived up to all of our expectations. The unit is well maintained and nicely furnished. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen which was well stocked. The hot tub was wonderful.

Wonderful South Point

We stayed for the second year in a row at South Point, Andy and Judith Haliday's beautiful home in the snow. We only wish our stay could have been longer. it is a wonderfully appointed apartment with everything provided and at such a high standard. The only disappointment is that it looks like that most of South Point is booked out for the first part of January in 2016. Hopefully we can find some dates later in January/early February while we are still on summer holidays in Australia.
