Spacious and fun

We loved our stay. There was plenty of room for our two young grandchildren to play and run around. Having the Master bed room upstairs and the other bedrooms downstairs was a bonus. The only thing that could use some attention is the kitchen. We found that there was a coffee maker but no filters for it, so we did not use it. We also found that it was short on a few essentials like measuring cups, measuring spoons and a spatula, there were also no lids for the pots. Great for larger families or groups

This is a great property for larger group. Out of the hustle and bustle of the village but close enough to walk. 2-3 min bike ride to Lost Lake! Great stay - just a few small challenges. There is no dedicated lockable bike storage room for the unit and no dedicated bike storage room for the building that we could find. There was a common bike rack in the common parking lot downstairs.
The parking lot requires a key to enter, however if you have a really expensive bike, you may not be comfortable leaving your bike in the parking garage, We secured our bikes together in our parking stalls and then parked our cars right against them for added security.
The unit has had some beautiful new bathroom renos. Some of the furniture is a little dated and worn, but nothing from stopping you from having a great time. A ceiling fan would help with air circulation on really hot days. Great space for multi-family with kids and teens! Loved having a private hot tub.

This is the fifth year I have stayed here with my friends. Each year we are excited come back and lately we have been finding a new reno upon our return (in both houses). This year I was extremely impressed with the entire house. The main floor has been redone with hardwood floor and an additional shower was added which is great for a larger group. The master bathroom also had an incredible reno done. The communication continues to be stellar with the owner/property manager and they were very accommodating this year with everything going on with Covid re: potential late cancellations. Annual August Weekend

This was my third time booking this property and the adjoining one (also owned by Paul and Corinne Varty) and once again it was a great time. It can be hard to find accommodation in Whistler for groups bigger than 10, however these properties always suit our needs (with ample parking).
The location is within walking distance to Lost Lake, and it is also close enough to the main village to walk (10-15 minutes), however the free shuttle runs right past the property if you don't want to walk. Any questions we had were answered within a few hours by Paul via email.

Big space but needs serious maintenance

This property has excellent bones and a lot of great useable space. However, it is in need of some significant deep cleaning and maintenance.
Some of the issues of note: lights above the dining room table were coated in years of dust, the rugs need a cleaning, the shower curtain downstairs was slimy, the range hood and bathroom exhaust fan downstairs were not working, the arm of the love seat was broken, the oven was filthy, there are no top sheets on any of the beds, and there were no window coverings in the living room to help block out the heat of the day.
Weâ??ve stayed at Whistler many times in different properties and this was the only time weâ??ve been disappointed with the level of cleanliness and maintenance.

Overall the place was great, very simple furniture and look. Hot tub was nice. It was a good distance from the village center.
The pots and pans were not totally clean, they still had some left over food residue, there was a leak in the ceiling, that however did not affect the stay. A new house speaker for music would go a long way.

Mostly clean, pretty comfortable and a good location. The location above Blackcomb is great for summer.
Getting to and from the condo via Lorimer road is easy and bypasses the main village so it's quick to hit the highway. It'a downhill on bike paths to the Village, 10 minutes on the buss at night, right at the trailhead of several bike loops and walking distance to swimming at Lost Lake.
The condo is a nice layout with lots of space and light. The kitchen is dated and the dishes and pots and pans and utensils are pretty worn. No AC in the unit so it can get a little warm inside.
Beds were clean and comfy overall and there were lots of extra mattresses and pillows. Bedding and linen was supplied and adequate. The property manager was quite responsive to anything we needed and pretty quick to get things to us.

Upon arrive number items aren't functional, though nothing major. 5 light bulbs, microwave turn table, out of hot water, etc.
The hot tub was locked without a key; apparently it's usually never locked. Couldn't use it for most of the day. The next day, the hot tub ended up being a warm tub. Not worth going into.
The overall building though was quite nice and very large. The beds are hit and miss. Some are good, others were uncomfortable. For the amount of space we got though, it s definitely worth it. Only reason why I wouldn't go back is the hot tub. We really wanted a working hot tub after a long of snowboarding.View Full Review

Hello, There was so much that was good about this property (location, spaciousness, amenities) but there are a few deep concerns that negatively affect our desire to recommend this property to others. We would like the owners to have a chance to address these concerns before this is posted online.
To put it plainly, the floors were not clean, at all. There were pieces of glass in the rug that one of our family members stepped on, glass was found in a lego basket of toys, there were bits of food and dust all along the edges of the carpets, and the bathroom floors were not cleaned fully (pieces of dirt around the baseboards and toilets).
One problem in maintaining this space could be the poor quality of the vacuum, which we tried to use, but was nearly useless.
Another problem was maintenance of the property. The BBQ was dirty, the patio hadn't been swept in months, cupboard doors were falling off their hinges and one closet door did come off when someone bumped it, when we first walked into the house.
Further good points are that the beds were comfortable and clean, and there was lots of storage. However, the real problems of dirty floors and poor maintenance overshadowed the good aspects of this property.
Other maintenance that you might want to look into is that the fan in the kitchen is extremely noisy, one of the elements isn't working, the BBQ needs replacing and there is a broken arm on the living room chair.
A few days of sprucing up would do this unit a lot of good, and is something future guests would really appreciate. This trip to Whistler was a very special time for our family, who are usually separated by great distances, but the uncleanliness and poor maintenance was a disappointing aspect of this holiday.
One other concern that came up, that you are not in control of, is that there was a serious fight that occurred in your next door property, at 2:30 am on the 28th. There was a lot of pounding, swearing and yelling going on. We were very concerned that someone might have been hurt, and that your property was damaged. It lasted for 10-20 minutes, and then some people left.

It is a beautiful complex close to the village with very easy access to the free shuttle. The unit is large and overall really great for big families/2 families. The master ensuite definitely needs updating as the shower is rotten and there's ants in there. The kitchen could be better equipped with frying pans that have handles that stay on, a flipper and maybe salt and pepper. If it's hot you will definitely need to bring a fan.
That being said, it's large, clean (besides the ensuite shower), quiet and a great location. Would definitely recommend if they renovate the ensuite!View Full Review
Great place for bikers

6 of us flew out from Australia to ride the bike bark and this place was perfect.
Easy ride to and from town and an easy 10-15 min walk. If you ride trail bikes the best trails end 2mins from the house. That's where one of the stages for the EWS finished
The house had plenty of room and it was great to be able to lock the bikes up safely at night inside the large storage room inside of the house. I would highly recommend this house to bikers who don't want to stay in a hotel in town.
It's walking distance to lost lake which we visited for a swim on the hot days after a day's riding
Great value for money. We were a group of males so didn't cook much but the kitchen looked stocked with plenty of pots and pans, plates, mugs glasses etc. My bed was comfy and I didn't hear any complaints from the boys so all in all thumbs up all round. .View Full Review Owner Has Responded

There is a free bus to the main village right outside the complex. Very convenient to take trips to the village either for shopping or snowboarding. Note that the bus doesn't operate late at night.
The townhouse is a lot bigger than it seems in the pictures. Very spacious and kitchen is very well stocked. The stove and oven are a bit old and somewhat hard to use but manageable. The hot tub located on the bottom floor is only accessible by the room with the queen bed which was a bit annoying for those who stayed in that room since the doors would open and close through out the night. The lights in the hot tub and on the outside weren't working so it was a bit dark.
But overall it was a very pleasant stay and we definitely worth the amount we had paid. Would definitely stay here again next year!View Full Review

We just enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in Snowgoose 16. This is a great unit for either a summer or winter visit. It's spacious (we were 2 families staying here) with lots of living, dining and kitchen space to accommodate 8 or 9 people (which isn't always the case in Whistler. )
The location is fantastic - you are on the free bus shuttle, but can easily walk into the village in the evening and you're right on the bike trails (x country in winter). Booking is easy and the owners and property manager are easy to get in touch with and quick to respond.

August Long Weekend Stay

The driveup to the property was a bit of a hassle as the directions sent to us were not very clear. We ended up finding the property using road signs and google maps. The property itself is great, huge with plenty of room and sleeping space for a large party.
The kitchen had a ton of clean utensils and supples needed for cooking/bbqing. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and plenty of towels and amenities were available (some of us had forgotten to bring shampoo/conditioner, so they were lifesavers).
The property is a bit dated, could use a slight reno, but is nice and gives off a rustic vacation cabin feel so we didn't mind it. The only problem we had was overall cleanliness. We all had a great time staying at Paul & Corinne's and are already talking about wanting to go back. It was close enough to walk to the Village, walk to Lost Lake to spend the day, and having 10 people there it didn't feel crowded.
If you're going in the summer I would suggest bringing an extra fan as it does get quite warm, but it's summer and I'm not going to complain about that! The hot tub was wonderful and so was the BBQ.

We were a little disappointed on arrival as there was a bad smell. We also had a few electrical problems and the place was not very clean. However I have to recommend Shirley from the concierge service for her prompt assistance in dealing with the issues. It turned out that the carpets had been cleaned the day before and were still damp.This did improve but did not go completely. The property is great but in need of some refreshment and new soft furnishings. The unit is quite worn. We found the unit very hard to heat due to poor windows and electric baseboard heating. We ran out of hot water a few times. Kitchen was poorly equipped - for example, lots of plates but only 5 coffee mugs. Lots of crumbs etc in the kitchen drawers, it really needed a good cleaning. The pullout couch was so poor it was unusable and we had to put mattresses on the floor. We had to ask for more towels, dish towels, kleenex etc after check in. The property manager was responsive to our requests. Very large master bedroom with good bed and large private bathroom. Great location and great stay

Our stay has been very good and we would not hesitate to book and stay here again. The location and the size of the accommodation has been perfect for our family. I would, however, like to point out a few a few items that need attention: 1. A broom is needed. The light bulb over the kitchen table went out. It was almost impossible to remove and shattered when trying. A broom would have helped in the clean up. Little dust buster in the cupboard is not working. 2. Water drips from the bottom of the fridge. I think it happens when the fridge is defrosting. We have left a towel under the fridge to catch the water. 3. More cups in the kitchen would be handy. 4. The cleaner parked in one of the units spots one morning. We were not warned that this would happen and we're concerned we would have no spot for our car. After contacting Shirley, she said that she did not know he would park there as he had come for midweek cleaning. 5. Mid-week cleaning: I did not know there was mid-week cleaning nor did the unit look as if there was any midweek cleaning, ie, no extra toilet paper, sinks not cleaned ect. We did not really need a mid-week clean but if there was one, we should have known. 6. The heat in the bedroom on to the hot tub does not work. 7. House is great and meets the needs of 2 families

The property was great and met our needs completely. We would rent it again as it is huge. We were 2 families just prior to Christmas with 5 teenage girls. This house has a VERY large sleeping capacity which was great for us. You'll not feel cramped at all as there is lots of space. The house is very clean. My only comment was it was very basic and starting to get outdated with slight wear and tear - a few things are looking beaten up (kitchen table etc), yellowing wall paper but nothing major at all. Great dining and living room and kitchen. HUGE master bedroom and bathroom. We also thought there could be a few more coffee mugs and dishes. Such a large sleeping capacity with dishes for maybe 8 and very few little in kitchen equipment. Bare Minium; so bring your own stuff if your looking for anything above the standard rental kit. We've rented a lot of ski house and they always come with a basic "start up kit" for the first night. If you get there late at night (like we did) it is nice to have basics - one night of coffee, filters, sugar, etc. All of our past rentals have had this similar to a hotel room. A NEW clean kitchen sponge in a package needs to be left - not someones old used one. A full dish soap and not 1" left. A box of dishwasher soap too. Such small touches that make a big difference. Also a few more towels would have been appreciated. We had ONE per person with a HOT TUB. There should be a back up stock so you have a clean towel for the shower. People can't fly with extra towels. We also had a issue getting into the house. The wrong entry code was emailed to us. This was resolved within a half hour by the management but we did have a half hour wait at the front door. A bit of a worrysome half hour at 9pm not knowing if the management would pick up our email since no one picked up the call and the message goes straight to email. I think this would be a very large problem for someone not having a cell phone (someone traveling from Europe). I did not receive a email saying the code had been changed as the management team claimed. I only had the original email with the original code which I only recieved 2-3 days prior to our arrival. Changing a door code so close to arrival is not good as not everyone is doing emails during their trip.
