The Birchnest

We stayed here for 2 1/2 weeks. Family of 4, including teen twins. We absolutely loved it. The photos dont do it justice. Comfortable beds , well equipped. Gorgeous view of mountain from the spa. Communication great from hosts. Highly recommend. Ben, Rachel, Florence and Grace.

We had a great 6 night stay in Birchnest, conditions were amazing after a 3 year break due to the pandemic. Very comfortable, great hot tub and the best equipped kitchen of any of the condo's we have stayed in at Sun Peaks. Short walk to get to the ski out/ski in - just cross to the corner of the opposite building, past the trees and down to Orient or Morrissey, easy walk to the village. Hosts very quick to respond to a small issue with the bathroom fan. Welcome bar of chocolate was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend.

We can't say enough on how accommodating and responsive our hosts were. Their home was well appointed and we lacked nothing to make our 2 week stay easy and enjoyable.

Exceptional place. Very clean, lots of room for gear, clothing and whatever guests are bringing. Very accommodating owners quick to respond. Easy ski in ski out access. Highly recommended.

we had a wonderful stay.great location close to the Orient chairlift. the hosts were helpful and responsive.we would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway.

This was by far one of the best vacation rentals we've ever been to. Super central and convenient to everything. It was clean, spacious, super well stocked and had the fluffiest towels ever. Loved the hot tub, loved the full kitchen, loved the heated floors, loved the boot/glove dryer, loved the washer dryer.... Perfect place to get away during this restricted time, everything was self contained. Owners were very responsive and understanding as well. Emailed about the possibility of having to cancel because of the extended restrictions and was given a very reasonable solution, ended up going any ways though and glad we did. No complaints at all. And they won my kids over by leaving a giant welcome chocolate bar. 5 stars all the way!

This was a lovely place to stay, particularly if you like to ski, as access to skiing is minutes away (we timed it and from the front door of the condo to sitting on the Orient chair was 7.5 minutes - very fast!). The complex is quiet and well looked after. The accommodations themselves were great and any time we needed to communicate with the owners they responded straight away. We like to cook and were pleasantly surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was. I would highly recommend The Birchnest to anyone and would definitely consider renting it again ourselves next time.

Our family fit perfectly in this unit, lots of space and well stocked kitchen. Hot tub was very clean and private. Secure and heated parking was a treat. FYI Limited access to movies , no Netflix etc. Would book again, no hesitation.

We really enjoyed our stay. the location is really good, the unit and hot tub were really clean and has everything you need to cook and play to enjoy your stay. owners were very quick to respond when we ask to extend our stay for 1 more night. I will return for sure, this is a real ski in/out

47 was an awesome condo, it have everything we could have needed or wanted. A short walk to the village and a really short walk to the lofts. The place was really clean and well furnished. We had a great time at sun peaks and would love to come back. The hot tub was a great touch!

We have come to Sun Peaks for 13 years in a row, and usually stay at Settler's Crossing or Stone's Throw. This was our second time at the Birch Nest and it has been our favourite condo by far. Amazing hot tub, great TV's and cable. Well appointed condo. Every year Sun Peaks gets better, this year was no exception. Great for families, and Super Bowl weekend was an excellent time to go. Snow was amazing.

Property was as described and the kitchen was stocked very well. Our only issue is the hot tub was dirty and had to have the cleaning company come a few times to get the water safe to enter, however they could not get the water clear, (cloudy water and foaming when using jets), but they got it safe to use. Seems like the water was in need of a change.

Location is a good ski-in-out and the ski boot dryer worked well. Really liked that fact they had Telus TV with a PVR so we could record our Team Canada Jr Hockey & NFL sports during the day while skiing and catch up at night post skiing! A real bonus for sure!

Spectacular accommodations. Fully stocked with everything you need to make yourself feel at home. Very well maintained and clean. Comfortable beds and seating area with ample room. Warm and welcoming home. Thank you for the wonderful and memorable stay!

We had a great stay with our friends from Vancouver. The condo is comfortably furnished and the kitchen well stocked. There was no bbq and for summer stays, that would have been nice. But we enjoyed the hot tub and the unit was spotlessly clean. We highly recommend Birchnest!!

One of the best equipped vacation condos we have stayed in. Ski in and ski out ability with a bit of a walk to town but you can take the shuttle during the day. We have booked this same room at least twice.

The unit is very well equipped and clean.We look forward to renting it again.

Great place to stay. Has everything you need including cooking basics (spices etc) and some yummy chocolate.

The unit was clean, tidy and felt homely. The kids appreciated the many 'viewing' opportunities and opportunity for snow play right outside the door. The adults appreciated the hot tub and that the kids were occupied :-) .

In my limited experience (2 stays at different resorts) Canadian ski resort apartments do not cater well for drying ski gear (ie no drying room). Fortunately this apartment did have a clothes horse to put in front of the heater and a boot drier for 2 pairs of boots.

The apartment is truly ski in ski out with a 30 metre walk to put your skis on to ski down the hill to the Morrisey lift. Other than walking or a car, this is the only way to get to ski lessons on time as the resort shuttle only starts at 9.00 and morning lessons start at 9.00. The apartment is about a 15-20 minute walk to the village and is consequently quiet. There is a nice walk between the other apartments on the Village Trail or more direct down the road. However, be aware that if you plan to eat out at restaurants and don't have a car, Sun Peaks resort shuttle does not operate at night or early in the morning- you have to walk...

The apartment owner is very prompt and helpful for dealing with any queries or problems. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Birchnest and would consider staying there again if we return to Sun Peaks.

Fantastic place to stay. Beautiful Condo, well stocked kitchen. Private hot tub on deck. Extra towels provided for the hot tub. Complex was quite. Walking distance to the village (however, it felt long after all day on the mountain). Would highly recommend this condo.

Very comfortable, clean, well appointed accommodations has everything to make our stay enjoyable. Kitchen is fully stocked which made cooking meals a breeze. will definitely be back.

As the weather was cool one day and very warm the next, it was warm sleeping and I think a ceiling fan would help both cool when hot and help circulate heat when it is cold. Otherwise a great condo.

very nice condo. Had everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. However, we did find 5 hair elastics in the bottom of the hottub. Also, we picked up groceries expecting to use the slow cooker advertised in the condo write up only to find it caked with baked on residue food.

Great location and well equipped townhouse. Hot tub was getting a bit foamy but still nice after a days skiing. Only problem was the door code when first arrived as was not the one given to us but it was quickly corrected by housing staff was contacted. Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend.

The unit is very well furnished. The mattresses were comfortable (did not try sofa bed), the bedding and pillows made for a good nights sleep. The kitchen had everything you needed, it was well stocked. There were plenty of towels and they also supplied towels for use in the hot tub. The hot tub was in very good condition and was a great place to sit back and look at the ski lift and hill.

The only negative is not for the unit or owners but just for the overall complex. There is a lack of visitor parking. We knew that there was underground parking with the one space for the unit and that there are two visitor spots for that particular building, but unfortunately for us they were already full when we arrived. It all worked out in the end as we were able to park one of the vehicles out on the street, but I am sure in the winter this may pose a bit of a problem.

Overall we were very happy with our stay and will hopefully be able to go back again in the future. Thank you!

The unit was clean and tidy. There were plenty of kitchen supplies and utensils. Everything was in good and sound conditions. We had a perfect stay at this unit.

Perfect place. Wouldn't change a thing , really. Good value too.

Very well equipped comfortable home with great wifi and hot tub. Was easy to ski in and out for us with teens - almost on the run - a small walk through complex. Bonus was private ski locker right outside front door. Loved all the extras in the unit. Could tell owners took pride in home and considered everything you'd need to enjoy stay. Quiet and private location. Maybe a little far to village for some. We stayed long enough to require a trip/adventure to drop off garbage and recycling.

For the third year in a row, the Birch Nest has been the choice for us while at Sun Peaks Resort. Reasonably priced, close to the main village, and all the amenities you could ever need while on vacation. The hot tub was great after a long day of biking and other residents were courteous and reserved. We will likely be back next year! Thanks again.
