2 minute walk to the hill and 15 second ski down to the lifts. Return at the end of the day is even closer. Quiet location with a lovely 15 minute walk to the crowds and amenities in Whistler village. Enclosed hot tub and outdoor pool are great. Bonus to have a 2nd vanity (sink) in the bedroom. Comfy lobby if you need to wait for your shuttle after checking out. Free parking and additional guest pay parking is a rarity in Whistler

this is a great unit. location is ideal, and the building has very good facilities (pool, gym, etc). the unit itself is quite large with a unique layout, so it feels very roomy with a family of 4. the owners are also very responsive - we had one small issue and they fixed it immediately. we will definitely stay here again.

We have stayed in this condo many times now as we love the value of this cozy apartment, the pool (still under reno) and hot tub, the proximity to the trails, and the quietness of the building. Whistler in October is one of the best times of the year because the trails have quiet down and we can enjoy biking and hiking without hordes of people.

Great Time at Whistler

We had a great time at Larry and Stacy's condo. The unit was well equipped and in a great location. The only disappointment (and this was not Larry and Stacy's fault) was the construction that was going on at the Marquis while we were there. We did not read the listing close enough and did not realise that the pool would not be operational and that there was no access to the building through the main entrance. When we first arrived, we wondered how we were going to get into the building. We had to enter and exit through the underground parking.

However, in spite of this, we thoroughly enjoyed our time and will definitely be back in future years. We love Whistler and the Marquis is perfectly situated to enjoy it all.

The place was cute and a great value. It was unfortunate that the building was under construction, so the pool was closed and the main entrance was closed which made us have to either climb 2 flights of stairs or take the elevator when our room was actually on the main entrance floor. The one large burner on the stove had something on it that set off the smoke detector whenever we tried to use it and we could not clean it off so we had to cook everything on the small burners. The bike locker room was a total mess and we really didn't feel comfortable leaving our nice bikes in there. Overall, it was a clean and comfortable place for 3 people, good kitchen accessories, and the hot tub and sauna were great.

We had an amazing stay at Larry and Stacy's place, for the amazing rate they are offering, the condo was more than we could have hoped for. The kitchen was well stocked, the room a great size and the bed very comfortable. Everything was immaculately clean. The location was great for us and having the bike storage downstairs was great.

This is a very comfortable, well-equipped ski condo. It was spotlessly clean, which is very important to us. It is not truly ski-in, ski-out but is very conveniently located to the slopes. It's just a short walk and a 200 meter ski trail to the ski run down to the new Blackcomb Gondola. We enjoyed our short stay there and would definitely book it again if it is available for our next trip to Whistler.

Family Ski Vacation

As usual, it was a pleasure to stay at the Marquise, and especially in Larry & Stacy's condo. We have stayed here three times, both in the summer and winter seasons, and again it met all our needs.

We've noticed more cutlery, bowls, and extra dishes this time, which was a welcome addition. This time around, we took advantage of the free winter shuttle (#5 Benchlands bus) to the village and it helped with the ski gear after a tiring day on the slopes. It comes every 10 minutes during peak periods, and only takes 5-10 minutes to get to Whistler base.

We look forward to staying here again.

We have stayed here often because the apartment is clean and functional, and spacious enough for our family of three. The building seems to attract families and quiet couples, which is a big bonus. Furthermore, we can walk to the village, hop on our bikes and are on the trail network, put on downhill skis and have minimal walking distance to the grocery store. Our only critique would be to have more bowls for cereal and salads.

We have stayed in the Marquise many times, and twice now in Larry & Stacy's condo. We have always found it to be good value -- a clean, quiet, and functional apartment, with a well-stocked kitchen to prepare the occasional meal. It is close enough to walk to the village, but far enough to be away from the noise.

We have stayed in the village before, but prefer the serenity of the upper village.

The Marquise is a great building, quiet and with good amenities. The unit was fine, but there are a number of small items that we were disappointed with: tiny hotel-style coffee pot, strange mixture of plates/dishes, only 4 towels and no pool towels provided, sofa bed is perhaps a little worse than you would expect, very limited soaps and shampoos provided. The unit was clean and despite not having A/C remained quite pleasant over a warm weekend given its exposure. Parking pass is included which is very kind.

We enjoyed the rental, it was clean and spacious. The only drawbacks were 1) No barbeques on site. ( I would have brought my George Foreman Grill) 2) No plastic cups in the unit, 3).It was really hot and air conditioning would have been fabulous, but none of these things would stop me from renting again. I loved the pool and we love how close it is to Blackcomb and the fact that the bus stops right outside if you prefer to ride.

Thoroughly enjoyed yet another stay in Whistler. Every time we go, we discover something new. The location of this rental is superb: close enough to walk everywhere and far away from party scene.

Our family of three enjoys the complete relaxation we get in this family oriented vacation rental especially having access to a heated pool and indoor hot tub. If there is one downside, it is having limited access to TV shows, but then again, we are in Whistler to enjoy the outdoors, to play games, and to talk to each other. :)

We enjoyed our stay and will keep you in mind the next time we visit W-B. Couple of suggestions: the toilet has a leak and refills every hour or so. Would be helpful to include the wifi password in the check-in info and remove references to the black key, state explicitly that the unit's resort code is needed. The location was perfect and liked the quiet privacy with the trees.

Cleanest place in Whistler, nice cozy flat

This apartment is absolutely the cleanest place we ever rented; it is not new but very well maintained.

The building is also very well sought after, with a clean pool and a clean hot tub which were not crowded at all. We enjoyed the private balcony and the secure underground parking, all in a very peaceful location in Whistler. We did not need to drive as everything, including the village is within walking distance, beautiful strolls and wonderful biking paths were welcoming us all around Marquise.

The owner was very responsive and very accommodating - they even left the parking pass in the apartment for us; the apartment is very well appointed with kitchen tools and bathroom supplies, we appreciated the attention to details and the abundance of good towels and linens that were provided. All in all a very good experience with a comfortable flat, well laid out, in a quiet and nice building.

Ski vacation

We've stayed at the Marquise many times while at Whistler, but this was the first time at Larry and Stacy's. As with the other condos, it was great value, suitable for a family, and provides more space than a typical hotel room. In addition, we like to prepare occasional meals, so having a well-stocked kitchen is a definite plus. The condo was exactly as described, and met the expectations of quality that we've come to expect at the Marquise. Thanks for a great stay.

Just got back from a wonderful Whistler vacation. Condo is in a perfect location 1 block from the slopes (via walking trail) and the shuttle bus stop to Whistler Village which runs every 20 minutes or so is right outside the door! Condo had plenty of space with Queen bed and pull out sofa. Kitchen was well stick with all utensils necessary to make a variety of dishes.

Condo owners were also extremely quick with all communication. Netflix and movie selection were a nice bonus.

A lovely spacious apartment, nicely furnished and well appointed with everything we needed, including a few basics such as coffee, tea, sugar etc. Quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the village, but as the free shuttle bus picks up at the front of the building, access to and from the ski lifts, shops, bars and restarants is a breeze.

We were only there for a couple of days and didn’t get chance to check out the communal facilities such as the hot tub and gym, but good to know they were there if we needed them. Similarly, we didn’t get round to working out the ski-in, ski-out access via The Aspens, but the bus provided easy alternative access to both Blackcomb and Whistler bases.

We were there at the most expensive time between Christmas and New Year, but looking at the rates for all other times we would say it is very good value for money. We found the owners to be helpful and accommodating, as was the housekeeper.

The instructions did cause us some initial confusion as they talk about a black marked key for communal areas and after hours access to the building, which wasn’t actually there, however we soon worked out that the communal access code did the same job it’s quite long though, so make sure you keep a note of it on you! Somewhere to put wet ski boots (we put them in the bath) and hang jackets, goggles, gloves etc close to the condo entrance would be handy.

Great place, and would rent here again

Overall, this place was great. The price was very fair, being on the first floor was convenient. Everything worked well, the only issues were not having a front desk support. I'm not sure if this was due to the holiday season, the Marquise itself, or if it was even known there wouldn't be anyone there. Which made check-in slightly confusing, and finding the room.

And for location, the 150 yards to the ski lift was about 6 minute walk since you can't go through the hotel between the Wizard ski lift and the Marquise hotel. After finding the room, and using the emailed access code, everything was great though.

A very pleasent stay

The property was very clean and we felt very welcome. The welcome pack of toiletries was very much appreciated, so were the coffee (& filters) and other condiments. The communication with the owner was excellent.

The windows of this condo overlook a small wood and have a northerly aspect, so it doesn't get too hot even on the sunniest of days, though window opening is somewhat limited. There is a small balcony with two chairs.

Cosy apartment that suited our family of four just fine. Bed linens are great! Plenty of dishes to not have the dishwasher running all the time. Best part is the outdoor pool, whirlpool and sauna. We also love the location: restaurants and shopping is an easy walking distance aware, and the cycling and walking trails are just at your door step. We'll be back!

Whistler Trip Feb/March 2015

We stayed here for a week at the end of our Whistler trip. The accommodation itself was lovely, with pretty much everything you needed in the kitchen, my only comment would be that the surface area was small so you had to be well organised not to clutter the place. The spa pool is covered, which in theory is nice, however, it makes it very, very noisy, especially with families and children there, we could hardly hear each other. However, the facilities themselves in the spa area are nice.

House keeping were fantastic. We had a problem with the door lock and also needed somewhere to store our bags between check out time and pick up time. The door lock was fixed within an hour of us letting them know, and they were kind to let us continue in the condo for a while until it was time to leave, this was very much appreciated. We did email the owner and go no reply but I know that housekeeping were going to be in contact so maybe a reply wasn't required as everything was sorted.

It is just a short walk down to Wizard lift so there is easy access to the mountain and buses are frequent outside, so it is easy to get to Whistler village itself for shopping or nightlife, however there are bars/restaurants at the base of Blackcombe if you didn't want to go that far.

Its very peaceful and warm and I would recommend this as accommodation if you are looking to stay at the north of the village.

The apartment was fine, though somewhat old or tired. Grouting and tiles in bathroom were showing their age, as were the plumbing fixtures. Kitchen fry pans had loose handles, microwave on top of the fridge was a little awkward. Dinning room table is a style that has an uneven surface with nooks and crannies which hold food and dirt. Lots of cupboard space and drawers made storing our cloths a breeze. Internet was blazing fast. Books, DVD's and games on the shelf were good. Building is close to hill, and clean. Hot tub and pool are good.

Solid Choice

We rent condos in Whistler at least 6 times per year so we've seen a lot of units. Marquise is a solid family-friendly choice. It is one of the cleanest and most nicely appointed units we've ever rented. Quiet, comfortable and plenty of space for our family of 3 but could easily accommodate 4. Bus stop right in front for getting to the village or short walk across road and trail to ski down to Blackcomb base. Not that far to walk to the village either. It would be nice to have a true entry way to hang wet gear but the owners have thoughtfully installed hooks in the spacious bedroom. Owner was very responsive to our needs.

Comfortable Enough

We are grateful to find a place close enough to the ski runs during Christmas season. However, fixing a few minor deficiencies will make the experience even more enjoyable. The hot water pressure in the bathroom shower is very slow and needs to be rectified. The compressor in the fridge generates a loud audible noise occasionally. Some water drips are occurring inside the fridge cooler compartment. Housekeeping can possibly prepare the unit a bit cleaner. The owner has acknowledged to correct the problems soon.

If the arrival date is greater than 45 days, 25% of the accommodation value will be due to confirm the accommodation. The remaining 75% balance will be due 45 days before the arrival date. Late payments will result in a cancellation and forfeiture of the deposit amount paid.

Damage includes, but is not restricted to: noise complaints, common or private property damage, excessive cleaning charges, lost or broken or missing common or private property items, smoking inside the property, pets inside the property and all charges relating to security company or police involvement regarding property occupant's behavior while in the property or on common premises.

Neither the Property Owner nor Rental Manager shall be held liable for any losses, claims, damages, costs or expenses arising out of any theft, accident, injury, death, damage, delay, inconvenience or distress, whether or not arising by the negligence of the Property Owner or Manager and the Guests hereby waive any and all such liability. The Guest booking this accommodation is responsible for making all members of the party aware of these terms, failing which the said Guest will be held liable to and shall save harmless and indemnify the Property Owner and/or Manager, from any losses, claims, damages, costs or expenses arising as a result thereof. A confirmed reservation by e-mail constitutes notice to Guests of these exclusionary terms and Guests are deemed to have read and agreed to the foregoing.
