We live in Kelowna but we stay up on the mountain every year over the holidays. This was our first time staying in the Timbers building and it was a great location. This beautiful unit is very well located and very well equipped. In a normal year, you are a three minute walk down to Happy Valley and skating, gondola, tubing etc. Having 2 bathrooms in a unit is also great and should never be underestimated. The owners- Haley and Myron were super nice people to deal with and the rental process was seamless. A bonus with this building as well is the underground heated parking and the full garbage and recycling bins on site (you don't have to haul away either yourself like in many other buildings on the mountain).

We have just got back from another amazing stay in Big White! The apartment was in a perfect location for me, my husband and 3 boys. It was very clean and the kitchen has literally everything you could possibly need. The garage was great for our very large truck and check in couldn’t have been easier, instructions for everything were clear and Dale was just a message away if we needed to ask anything. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

We had a wonderful 9 night stay at this apartment during the peak of a snowfall event. The apartment is well laid out, a perfect home away from home and with easy access to the gondola a great place to stay. The hot tub was a welcome way to finish the day before heading out for dinner or tubing in Happy Valley. I can't wait to go back!

This unit is PERFECT on all levels! It was simply perfect with regards to its location: conveniently located close to the ice rink, the tubing, the Happy Valley Lodge and the snowmobile trail. It was optimal for the kids as they had free range to walk around the town centre going up and down the gondola - of course, to buy candy. The unit had a fully stocked kitchen which was greatly appreciated - as we hosted our family friends several nights in a row. The unit is beautifully renovated - it is a clean design.

Without reservation, I would recommend the rental of this unit!

Everything for all ages

We've stayed at a lot of ski rental places, and this was one of the best. Being slightly out of the village centre made it slightly cheaper. Because we were right at the base of the gondola, it was mere steeps to load and be at the village centre within minutes. Also, directly beside the gondola is the Moose Lounge; a great place for kids (ours are teens), a drink, pub style snacks and live music. So easy to pop over after skiing with or without the kids.

The property itself has a gym and a games room which booth our teens enjoyed the freedom of using. The suite even had all the ping pong paddles, pool cues, air hockey pucks etc. The suite had everything you could possibly need. Things like all sized frying pans, stocked fully with dish clothes, hand towels, paper towel, kleenex etc. Lots of bath towels.

The living room bay window made you feel you were right in the snow, and there's a view of the gondola and evening sun in the hot tub which we liked. The hot tub was very clean. Only drawback, the lid is incredibly hard to close as it sinks down between the tub and the wall. Perhaps a ledge or 2x4 for it to rest on slightly higher so it doesn't take two people to close.

My husband also really enjoyed the steam shower. Parking was underground with trolly's right there to haul up our stuff. Every detail was there including a fan in the den (no window) which got very warm at night for our teens. Thank you for a great week!!

Good spot in Happy Valley

We were happy with this unit - it is well stocked and in good condition. The kitchen is nicely outfitted and the beds are very comfortable with warm comforters, etc. We stayed in the unit last year and it looks like a few upgrades were made in the interim such as a new hot tub and large TV / video game system added to the 2nd bedroom. We booked the unit again as we like the location a lot - it is a true ski in / ski out and it's very convenient to get from the ski locker to the back building entrance and ski down to the gondola. The kitchen is great with a gas stove and good oven, and the owners have stocked it with quality pots, pans, knives, etc.

I didn't rate the development 5 stars as there is no visitor parking on site which is inconvenient. We had to take two cars this time and had to park one down the road in the Happy Valley day parking. Other downside is that the balcony to the unit is directly above the main building entrance, so if you're sitting in the hot tub, there is no view and often there's people parked below you, coming in / out, etc. The unit front door is also directly across from the elevator on the 2nd floor - if you're a light sleeper, you do hear people going in and out.

We would recommend the unit and location regardless as the fit and finish is very nice and we didn't lack for anything in the unit itself. We love Big White and would recommend this property.

This was our second stay in Timbers and we will continue to come back when we want to ski Big White. It's the perfect combination for us.

Location and facilities together with true customer care. The location is great. Pop your skis on for a few seconds to get to the gondola and then ride up to the village and the mountain awaits. Got peckish or had a good day on the slopes and need to relax, it's an easy ski straight back to the door.

When you've soothed your muscles in the hot tub or steam shower, it's a few steps to the Happy Valley or to take the gondola back to the village for great food. facilities in the kitchen are so good that eating out is not necessary.

We continue to be impressed by the facilities, a true home from home, particularly when we travel from the UK and are limited as to what we can bring with us. We do not compromise on anything.

We had a couple of questions for the owner, Dale, whilst we were there and it was really easy to get hold of him and nothing was too much trouble for him. All in all, we highly recommend Timbers 2**. Have a great Holiday!!

Our stay at Daleâ??s condo was exceptional. The small details from the Christmas decorations to XBox for the kids.

There were 5 of us and the condo fit us perfectly. There was a bottle of wine, beers and yummy chocolate biscuits that greeted us upon our arrival! The condo is a shot walk/ski/snowboard down to the Gondola to take you to the main village!

Super easy to book and then to access the unit thanks to the detailed information sent to us. We've never booked through alluraDirect.com and was a little nervous about doing so but it turned out to be really straightforward.

Brilliant location for ski in and out. The Gondola is on the door step so getting to the village centre and everything was super easy. There were no children in our party but the unit's so close to the skating/tubing etc, would really suit visitors with little people.

So much in the way of facilities. We visited from the UK so the laundry facilities were brilliant for reducing the amount of clothes we needed to take for a two week stay . The kitchen was so well equipped that we stayed in and cooked far more than have done on previous holidays. The same was true of the other parts of the unit, it was like being home from home. There were even spare light bulbs!

Best Location for Family

We loved the location of this unit. Short stroll to the free Gondolla that takes you to the village. Short walk to both the tube park and the ice rink. Large suite, nice big screen tv. Large hot tub

Super clean and free parking underground. You can park your car for the week and never need to move it. We had friends that stayed at another townhome and had to drive everywhere and look for parking. This place is the best location.

Only a small complaint but it's specific to me, I sleep on a Tempur mattress and found I could not get a full sleep here. My wife did not have this problem. We will re book again next year. We had so much fun we were able to add another night.

This is our second stay in this property. We will return again. The only downside to this visit is that the Wi-Fi was very spotty and that was frustrating. Also, we had difficulty driving out of the steep driveway, even with four wheel drive. It took us a long time to locate where was the gravel. Once we located that, it was fine. I suggest some visitor education and sign posting around that.

We had fantastic vacation to Big White, and this condo was a large contributor to a great experience. It is well appointed, and the only challenges we faced were minor: one lamp wouldn't turn on, the espresso machine had been replaced by a traditional coffee maker and it can get quite warm and there isn't really a way to turn down the heat. That said, we were so impressed with how many cooking supplies the kitchen had. We mostly ate in. The hot tub was great. Overall, we plan to rebook. Thanks so much.
