Penthouse Luxury in a truly amazing space - Raven 402

This room was perfect for our large group. The kids loved in the loft (upstairs) area - it was perfect to have a pool table, their own "bar" fridge, sitting area and TV. The main area was spacious and comfortable. I was very impressed with the amount of cutlery, plates, glasses etc. I also appreciated the selections of cookware. The beds were cozy, lot's of blankets and pillows available. The upstairs bunk rooms have no windows so it was super hot for the kids.

The hot tub was awesome to have, nice clean water, well kept. At one point it needed water added to it and they were there in a mere hour or so to attend to it. It's very well maintained (every 3 days) and it shows. The ski route home is easy once you find your bearings around. The ski out requires a small walk, which was manageable. Just as an FYI

to anyone reading, the 4 main master bedroom are all on the main floor, but only 3 have a bathroom in them. So one king room has to use the main bathroom.

The unit was fantastic, we were a large group of families staying and we all had adequate space. The lifts were a bit of a walk in the morning with all the kids so not totally ski out but definitely ski in. We used the pool and the kids had a great time. Kitchen had more than enough stuff for us to cook with and the hot tub was lovely. We will book this home again :)

Overall, this is a pretty darn nice place to stay. It's very spacious and has plenty of rooms and a nice open main room. Those are the pluses.

It's really the list of "buts" that keep me from recommending it. Here are the buts:

1. It's not really ski in/out. At best you can ski in to the condo, but there is no good way to ski out. Period.
2. The furnishings are just out dated. The couches sag and are just plain uncomfortable.
The TV's and electronics are in need of repair and adjustment. The upstairs ones that are supposed to be hooked to a playstation and a Wii did not have any of the cords plugged in and not sure if all the right cords were there so we gave up. The main floor TV works pretty well, but the remote doesn't work to turn the volume up or down, which is the 2nd most important function of the remote. And finally, if you run the fireplace it overheats the TV system and it won't work at all. This is just poor design as the equipment all sits in a built in nook that is 2 feet above the fireplace.
3. Kitchen could just use a bit of an upgrade on everything. There is an espresso maker that we never could make work, but then no coffee grinder. The utensils and pots and pans are fine, but definitely many are in need of replacement.
4. Don't pick this place for the pool. Our group of kids (8 - 12 age range) didn't even want to go in.
5. Lastly, we spent $8,000 to stay there a week and then one of us left some apple ear pods (the wireless kind) and they charged us $26 to have them returned to us.

The Raven 4** is the perfect spot for a large group at Big White. We were a group of 14 adults and we never felt squeezed.

The unit offers quick access to Lara's gondola, although to call it ski-out is a bit of a stretch. It definitely offers true ski-in access directly to the rear of the unit. The property management team is top - notch, providing quick responses to all of our questions before and after arrival.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property, and if you're up early enough to catch the sunrise out of the large vista windows, you're in for a treat!

The building has ample parking. There were a great crew of Aussies staying on the lower floors. It was conveniently located about a 5 minute walk from Lara's Gondola to get up to the village. The unit itself is HUGE. There are 4 bedrooms on the main floor (3 have ensuites; 1 has a bathroom across the hall); 2 bunk rooms upstairs with a shared full bath. The bunk rooms can each have a double 3 single beds. The beds, linens and towels were great.

The kitchen is well equipped. There are a few spices. But otherwise you're on your own for everything else. There is a fantastic Saeco espresso machine that worked like a charm! Hot tub is amazing. Great view. Fits 4 adults easily maybe more if you want to be more friendly. TV and entertainment worked as intended. The pool table was a great late night distraction.

Sean and the ownership were immediately responsive to our questions. And given the situation were able to accommodate our last minute flight and transfer changes. Thank you for a great stay.

We stayed at Christmas, and had a great time. Pool table was a hit!

We were 16 guests (8 adults and 8 older children). The condo was great - lots of space and it was nice to be able to walk to Happy Valley. The ski-in was ideal. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed stay immensely. Space and amenities excellant. Getting in and out ok, elevator somewhat slow, fitness centre too small, ski in and ski out a little difficult. Place would be idea if closer to Gondola.

Great Place. Easy access to ski lifts, village. Fit our four families perfectly. Pool table was a hit with the kids. Looking forward to going back!

Stunning open plan living space with beautiful views. The apartment was perfect for our group and was a joy to stay in. Ski in very easy, ski out a little harder but not that much. Managers very responsive. Overall great ski holiday.

Great for large family gatherings. Very spacious. Well equipped. Although not the best ski in/ski out on the hill, the location is good for access to skating, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. We will be back.

I have booked my company ski trip retreat at this location for three years and this unit has consistently been a huge success with our group. Vacation Services is very helpful, and everything is ready to go quickly through a few emails. The unit is very nice, with something for everyone including hot tubs, pool tables, video games, and large TV's.

There were 6 adults, 2 teens and 2 children celebrating an early Christmas. There was enough space that you didn't feel like you were all over each other. It was fantastic that three of the four bedrooms on the main floor had their own ensuite and one had its bathroom across the hall. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies to make it easy to not miss any utensil from home. Although it is a ski-in complex, you do have to walk a bit to the Happy Valley lodge. Yet, this was a minor detail and would recommend driving to the parking lot with your ski gear instead of walking.

We were the first guests of the season, so we had a few hiccups with leaks and such but they were QUICKLY addressed and didn't ruin anyone's fun. The one comment that was made as a negative would be that it would be nice to have more towels available for both bathing and dishes. Otherwise, it was well appointed.

Great large property for family groups. Highly recommended
