We stayed 10 days for XMAS and New Year. overall the condo worked great for us.

Pros:

  • Great maintenance: the broken door lock and missing fridge shelve were promptly replaced at our first call - even at busy XMAS time
  • Beautiful views
  • Spacious leaving area
  • Short walk to the skating ring
  • Well stocked with bath and hot tub towels
  • Two reserved parking spots

Cons

  • The ski in/out location is not the best by Big White standards
  • Inconvenient access to the ski lockers - you have to open three doors with code locks to get there.
  • Do not rely on the kitchen oven - it took forever to heat it and bake

Good family vacation over Christmas!

Our family of 5 adults & 2 young kids had a wonderful stay at the rental unit for 6 nights. The unit was well equipped, comfortable and spacious. Location of the unit was quite convenient for the adults as it was just a couple of minutes’ walk from the bottom of the Gondola but our 3-years’ old grandson could not walk the whole way without whining to be carried! Part of the path is quite flat too, making it difficult for people on skis. There were two 3-seaters couches (instead of just one in the photos) in the spacious living room which was very good for relaxing and watching TV at the end of the day. The 2nd bedroom was very spacious and we could put a toddler blow-up bed there for the 3-years’ old grandson. The bunk bed in the 3rd bedroom was sturdy with ample headroom for the lower bunk, but the clearance for the upper bunk was very low. My 5-years’ old granddaughter had to crawl low to reach the bed every night and when she sat up, her head touched the ceiling! The staff of Vacation Services was friendly and helpful. They responded to our requests for new batteries for the Wii and for Saran Wrap for the kitchen.

Located on the THIRD floor with a south eastern exposure our home has a private entrance that opens into foyer with closet. Walk into the spacious and open kitchen, dining and living room and then onto the deck with hot tub & BBQ. Centrally situated, the main bathroom and the in-suite laundry are off kitchen area. The bedrooms are located off central hallway. Master bedroom with Queen bed and ensuite bath, second bedroom with Queen bed and Bunk room with Single over Single Bunks.

2 private & reserved car parking spots and 2 secure Ski Lockers are available for your use.

Location

The Raven is a short walk away from the Happy Valley Adventure area and Lodge. Happy Valley is a perfect location, it's lots of fun and central offering many non-skiing activities including the huge outdoor Skating rink, Mega Coaster tube rides and Cross Country Trails. The Raven is a short walk to the Gondola which will take you (in just 5 minutes) to the village where you'll find many restaurants, the kids centre and the ski/board school and grocery store.

Ski-in, Ski-out - There is direct Ski-in access to The Raven and Ski-out simply requires a short across the road, or walk downhill to the Gondola depending on snow coverage.  On a good day you can put your skis on as soon as you have left The Raven entrance and crossed over the road.

Cancellations Made by Guests All payments are non-refundable. If we can replace your booking, we will issue a refund by cheque. Please note that your booking is made directly with the property owner who is based in the UK. Any refund of any booking fee is subject to a 30% deduction, this is to cover both credit card processing and Canadian taxes which are deducted at the point of any booking payment being made.

Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Standard departure cleaning is complimentary. Cleaning associated with defacing the property, or above the standard fees is considered property damage.
Excessive Noise Complaints of excessive noise will result in eviction without refund. Please be considerate toward your neighbours
Garbage Removal Guests are responsible for garbage removal at the time of departure. Waste disposal & Recycling containers are located on site in the parking garage.

Noise Restrictions Quiet time is 11.00pm to 7.00am. Guests may be evicted subsequent to noise complaints and will be charged for any damages resulting from the noise complaints. The outdoor hot tub area may be used after 11.00pm, but please engage only in quiet conversation after 11.00pm out of respect for neighbouring guests.

Property Details

Spacious 1185 square foot condo with private balcony. This Condo is on the third floor at the front of the Raven building facing toward the mountains. All rooms are on one level, offering easy wheelchair access. 

The Master bedroom at the front has a private ensuite bathroom with steam shower enclosure and great views. Bedroom 2 and the cozy Den are close to the main bathroom as you enter the Condo. The kitchen, dining and lounge areas have a large open plan layout with the lounge area accessing the deck with BBQ and hot tub. There are 2 secure parking spots as well as 2 ski lockers for guest use.
