Nice condo, great maintenance

We stayed 10 days for XMAS and New Year. overall the condo worked great for us.

Pros:

  • Great maintenance: the broken door lock and missing fridge shelve were promptly replaced at our first call - even at busy XMAS time
  • Beautiful views
  • Spacious leaving area
  • Short walk to the skating ring
  • Well stocked with bath and hot tub towels
  • Two reserved parking spots

Cons

  • The ski in/out location is not the best by Big White standards
  • Inconvenient access to the ski lockers - you have to open three doors with code locks to get there.
  • Do not rely on the kitchen oven - it took forever to heat it and bake

Good family vacation over Christmas!

Our family of 5 adults & 2 young kids had a wonderful stay at the rental unit for 6 nights. The unit was well equipped, comfortable and spacious. Location of the unit was quite convenient for the adults as it was just a couple of minutes’ walk from the bottom of the Gondola but our 3-years’ old grandson could not walk the whole way without whining to be carried! Part of the path is quite flat too, making it difficult for people on skis. There were two 3-seaters couches (instead of just one in the photos) in the spacious living room which was very good for relaxing and watching TV at the end of the day. The 2nd bedroom was very spacious and we could put a toddler blow-up bed there for the 3-years’ old grandson. The bunk bed in the 3rd bedroom was sturdy with ample headroom for the lower bunk, but the clearance for the upper bunk was very low. My 5-years’ old granddaughter had to crawl low to reach the bed every night and when she sat up, her head touched the ceiling! The staff of Vacation Services was friendly and helpful. They responded to our requests for new batteries for the Wii and for Saran Wrap for the kitchen.

The Raven is conveniently located in the heart of Happy Valley. Many of the units in the complex have great views of the Monashee Mountains and Happy Valley itself. Gaze at the mountain views and enjoy the weekend fireworks shows from your condo! Happy Valley hosts a number of outdoor features such as ice skating, tubing, snowshoe trails, ice climbing, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, restaurants, bar, cafeteria and Gondola access to the Village.
