LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. Whistler has some of the world's greatest skiing and my condo is 200 meters from the Creekside Gondola to take you up to there fast.  

Once you go down the elevator, grab your skis out of the lobby ski locker, exit the front entance and go across the street then up 15 stairs you are sitting on the gondola. It's so easy you can even ski in for lunch. Everything is there at the base - guest services, ski school, ski shop, ski repairs, retaraunts, Starbucks, bank, full grocery store and even the medal podium for 2010 Olympic downhill.

The local and experienced Whistler Mountain skiers often choose this Gondola to upload over the hustle and bustle of the Main Village. There is also a shuttle right outside of the building that goes to Blackcomb Mountain every 15 minutes.

RENNOVATION RENNOVATION RENNOVATION. We just finished renovating the units kitchen in January of 2018 and installed a new bathroom in 2017. There is lots of cool hand painted kitchen and bathroom tile art that give the unit a funky, colorful and fun character. The large outdoor pool and hot tub are re-opened after having undergone a facelift too. 

My unit is cozy, comfortable, clean, fully equipped and is ready for you to kick back and enjoy. The photo gallery tells alot about the quality of unit 209 and the building. Lake Placid Lodge was built in 1989, is easy to find and is setup well for the ease of unloading your baggage. 

When the unit is not rented out I use it myself so it has everything you need for cooking, reading, watching the 65 inch smart TV, surfing the net or just plain relaxing in front of the fireplace.

Fantastic Stay in this Unit

Having to visit Whistler every year over the last 23 years, this unit is one of the most comfortable that I have stayed in. Lots of artwork on the wall. Kitchen and washroom are recently renovated in good condition. The TV has been nicely upgraded. Kitchen is fully equipped. I would suggest the following minor improvements to make the stay even more perfect. 1) Drainage for the washroom sink is a bit slow. Hair particles may be trapped underneath the drainage cap that may require more frequent clearing. 2) The sofa bed sags a bit due to frequent use, but comfortable enough to sleep on. 3) The exhaust fan light does not work making the cooking area a bit dim.

Despite these minor shortcomings, it is still a great unit and a great location to reach the gondola.

Second stay, better than the first stay

This is our second time staying here. Since the first time, the unit has been updated with new kitchen and bathroom! It's a huge improvement! Just steps to the Creekside Gondola and an easy 5 minute drive to Whistler Village in the evening. Plenty of free parking after 5pm in Whistler village so no issues to go the main village for a night out. Highly recommended and we are looking forward to our next trip to stay here.

This property has undergone recent upgrades in the kitchen and bathroom which are excellent. Appliances are top of the line and the large screen TV was a hit, although there were no instructions regarding how to get it to work. We figured it out. The Mountie motif was a real conversation starter and added an interesting feel to the place compared to other units we have stayed in. For those who do a lot of cooking in the unit the quantities of some of the utensils were a bit lacking.

Overall the unit was very comfortable, the location excellent. We would certainly recommend the unit and would definitely stay here again. Thanks Dave.

Ski in out vacation

We had stayed at the property over the Christmas holiday. The unit was newly renovated like a 5 stars hotel. We were really enjoyed the 60 inches TV and the beautiful kitchen.

Owner response was excellent. Email normally reply right the way. The owner had called us when we arrived on the first day to make sure everything ok.

The property almost ski in and out, just right besides the ski lift and supermarket just across the road.

I will highly recommend this property for vacation.

I spent two nights at Dave's Creekside vacation condo this summer and loved it. The instructions I received made it an easy, seamless arrival. The accommodations were fabulous and even better than I anticipated. I was glad to be a few minutes away from Whistler village where it was less congested. There are stores right there, where you can get anything you need for your stay.

Although I brought my own bike you can rent at Garbanzo's across the street and spent one afternoon riding the trails around the lakes and through Whistler. I would strongly suggest it. In the evening the private swim which is a was a nice way to cap off a glorious day or you can head over to the creek and dip your feet in the water to cool down.

We give this rental two huge thumbs up!! Summer or winter, you can't go wrong.

We loved the location of the condo with the ski lift just across the street and up a few steps - couldn't have been better! It was really clean and comfortable and had everything we needed so we could enjoy a great vacation.

Originally we planned to have our adult son with us but unfortunately he was not able to make it at the last minute. It he had come it might have felt a bit crowded - better for just the 2 of us, I think! I also didn't see any bedding for the sofa bed which might have been an issue if he had been with us!

We would love to come back and will definitely recommend this place to our friends!

We enjoyed our summer pre-cruise getaway to Whistler. Although we had a couple of issues, we did like this condo.

Our first issue was that we drove right past the place the first time, and were it not for Google Maps on our phone we would have had trouble finding this place after.

The second issue was that it was really really hot on the date we were there, and the open windows and the fan was not enough to cool us down.

The third issue was that having to keep the windows open meant that we busses and/or trash trucks kept waking us up in the morning.

Had it not been so hot when we were there, and had we been able to keep the windows closed we probably would have had a better time. The place was plenty roomy enough and had a charm to it that we liked. Unfortunately, if you are going to be there when it is potentially hot (as it was in early July '15), then I could not recommend this place until such time as he gets an air conditioning unit installed.

One note about parking: the stall spaces were very tight to get in and out of. It wasn't a problem in July, as only about 1/3 of the spaces were taken, so there was plenty of room to maneuver. However, in the event that the garage is ever full, I certainly wouldn't want to be dealing with trying to get an SUV in and out of these tight spaces.

Awesome location - very close to the Creekside gondola. The suite was perfect for our needs. Both beds ( the queen size in the master bedroom and the pull-out sofa) were very comfortable. Best cozy place for two in Whistler!

I have returned to Whistler BC Canada this year and it has been over 12 years now. It was worth coming back to and even the place that I've stayed in with my best friend. I recommend this place for either weeknight and weekend trip! Very cozy place room enough for two. Good amenities and very clean! Location is fantastic away from downtown Whistler Village which could get really busy and loud when you want peace and quiet away from the crowd. Some stores nearby and great restaurant spots besides going to the main village. Whistler Creekside has its own unique personality! I would come back to this place again. Enjoy! Great communication with the owner by the way! Excellent suggestions too if you don't know where to go and it's your first time in Whistler.

Cheerful in Whistler's Creekside

We had a fantastic experience with this property for our long weekend getaway. It was absolutely spotless which made me feel immediately comfortable in the unit. We cooked most of our own meals while in Whistler. The property is located very near to a grocery store and a liquor store so it was convenient to buy groceries and a bottle of wine and then bring them back to the unit to prepare meals. The kitchen is well outfitted with all of the tools and pans we needed for cooking. We used one of the televisions for music and the other as a tv. The living area was a comfortable place to relax and read and the bed was cozy (great mattress). I really like the location in Creekside, right at the base of the mountain. No snow at this time of the year but we crossed the highway and enjoyed a long walk on the walkway/bike path that leads all the way to Whistler. We didn't go that far but enjoyed strolling past a couple of lakes. Beautiful. We also drove into Whistler (10 minutes down the highway) one day to spend a few hours in the village. We had a problem with the Internet but when I contacted the owner we were able to figure out what to do to get it working again and then it was fine for the rest of our stay. A fantastic unit and a great location for a holiday. Highly recommended.
