The Spy Glass development is a stones throw from the main recreation area of Happy Valley where you will find plenty of activities for kids and adults. Anything from ice climbing and ice skating / hockey to snowshoe trails and snowmobiles! There are a few restaurants and a bars located here as well as the Gondola to access the other mountain restaurants, bars and retail stores in the Village. The condo a cozy spot to call home with built in-floor heating and a electric fireplace to relax by after a day on the slopes. The chef in your group will find everything they need to prepare amazing meals for your guests which also includes the BBQ on the deck for any grilling needs.

Very clean and spacious ground floor unit, very well equipped kitchen, sunny, large entry with bench, storage bins and room to hang gear to dry and get boots on/off. Very easy ski in/out just above the Happy Valley gondola base. Beds are fairly basic and firm.

Can't beat the location of this unit - very convenient ski-in/ski-out and easy to get to the village in the evening as well via the gondola. We didn't hvae a vehicle with us, but the private garage would be very nice for those arriving via car. The ski locker right beside the unit is very convenient and secure.

Two small downsides to be aware of with this unit: 1. It is on the lower level, and you will hear noise from the unit above if anyone is styaing in it. 2. The finishes and furnishings could use a little love. The bed could use a new mattress, the furniture is a little tired, and there are some cracked tiles throughout the unit. We were still reasonably comfortable, but the unit didn't feel as nice as others we've stayed in at Big White.

I'm giving this place a 5 star rating. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed being so close to the gondola. If had to to be critical of anything, I would say that it would have been nice to have the front door, hot tub, bbq area shoveled and free of snow. It was a bit slippery for the kids getting in and out of the tub and a little uneven for BBQ-ing. Not the end of the world. We will most definitely look to staying here on a future visit! Thanks so much for being a part of our family ski holiday!

Is too much snow too much!

This is a fantastic rental property with easy access in and out of the snow, I have scored the access and checkin score low as when we arrived and departed the apartment we had to haul our skis and two bags across 300m of mid ankle snow! We cannot control the weather. But it was a difficult walk with all our gear/ Now this was due to two untimely depending on your perspective mass snow dumps. This prevented drop off and pick up from our door. Otherwise this place was amazing. Ty for allowing us to stay.

Thank you for a lovely setting for our first White Christmas! The location was, as promised, very convenient to the Gondola lifts, and it was so nice to be able to ski home in the afternoons also. We enjoyed the views from the family room every evening, the Jacuzzi, the heated floors, friendly neighbors, and the cold but sunny Christmas weather. We hope to be back again next year.

Family ski vacation

We really enjoyed our stay , location of the property in proximity to lifts , village , night skiing and the rinks were fantastic. The only downfall was the weather was a little lack lustre. This did not stop us from enjoying the unit with our two children aged 11 and 13 . We had no problem letting the boys use the gondola to access night skiing giving us sometime to access the village for apres !

New Years stay

My only suggestion is have the toilet in the master bedroom fixed, it doesn't flush well. We ended up not using it. My other suggestion would be to rearrange the master bedroom, for the person sleeping on the window side the bed corner is painful to run into, there's not much room between the bed corner and the dresser. I would turn the bed and put it under the window and the dresser on the opposite wall, the one that the door is on. Other than that we loved your place, the location is perfect, hopefully we can stay there again.

This condo is a hidden gem, a very short walk from the Happy Valley lodge and truly ski in/ski out. We found the booking process smooth and painless. When we arrived the was spotless and in beautiful condition. All of the amenities are as described and we had no issues whatsoever. Thank you to Dan and Kim for allowing us into their beautiful home. We are situated in a perfect location for access to ALL resort amenities. Just steps to the Happy Valley Adventure Area and lodge, the huge outdoor skating area, tube park, x-country ski trails, snowshoe trails, snowmobile rentals, ice climbing tower, restaurants, bar and cafeteria. A 5-minute ride up the Gondola will take you to the Village center ski lifts, restaurants & shopping and Kids Centre. Ski in at day's end over the Skiers Bridge or down Happy Valley Way right to Spy Glass and your front door!
