Unbeatable slopeside location - a true ski in/ski out Condo

Our condo is located right besides the Wizard chairlift from Blackcomb mountain base. Better still - the condo itself can be accessed one metre from the slope (besides one of the three hotubs) - 3 minutes from clicking your skis off to lounging on the sofas besides the fire!

The Aspens development is a short stroll (or fast toboggan) away from Blackcomb base.

Here you will find Whistler Kids Kamp and Whistler Blackcomb Ski School, the spa treatments of Chateau Fairmont, the buzz and mountain-high nachos of Merlins apres ski, a myriad of bars, restaurants and shops.

Whistler Village is a 5-10 minute stroll away in beautiful surroundings - plus there is a regular, reliable and free bus service just outside the Aspens development to take you to Whistler Village.

From the first station off of the Wizard chairlift, skiers and boarders follow Village Run trail (green/beginner level) into Whistler Village base.

What makes Whistler so special and unique? We have enjoyed many mountain holidays in Europe over the years but none compare with Whistler! Well maintained pistes, little or no lift queueing, friendly attendants and instructors all make for a fun day out. Facilities for non-skiers include dog-sled, snow shoe, sleigh rides etc (more in our information folders). Add to this high quality restaurants for all budgets, clubs, bars, cinemas, good shopping and you can see why we want to return time and time again! To make the most of a ski/boarding day buy a "first tracks" ticket and be among the first on the mountain - breakfast included!

About Us

We are Sandra and Jim Lawlor and family from Loughton in England. We came to Whistler on holiday, fell in love with the place and knew we would be back on a regular basis so decided to buy. We just came back from a stay at your condo in Whistler. We truly enjoyed the location of the condo. We were also pleasantly surprised by how much Whistler had to offer during the winter season. You may have noticed we did not give our stay a very good review when asked by alluradirect. We thought it would be useful to share our experiences directly with you.

First of all, the code we were given to enter the condo was wrong. We started calling the Canadian numbers and luckily #3 answered and we were given a master key.

When entering the condo, we were met by a foul odor. In general, we didn't find the condo very tidy. Stale potpouri in the closets with little leaves everywhere. Stuff in closets so impossible to put all of our stuff away, a bit of a urine smell in the master bath, etc.

Upkeep of the condo needs to be improved. We were met by a dangling spotlight in the kitchen, a smoke detector ripped out of the wall, not all light bulbs working and the control panel of the fireplace detached on the mantle. The pots and pans in the kitchen are plentiful, I admit, but they are chipped, handles are about to fall off etc..

It is a nice thing to provide bread, cereal and bathrobes when people arrive, but it is quite disappointing to discover that most of the robes had a rip in the back.

So for a rental that cost ~ 3500 CAD for 6 nights we had expected a bit more: The TV in the den is outdated, let alone the CRT in the master...No mid week cleaning...

All in all we had expected more. We have been renting condos across North America for a few years now and this was by far the most disappointing, and for sure not the cheapest.

To conclude, I'd like to thank the nice lady who provided us with an entry code and a bottle of Cava. I am afraid we found it too little.

Generally a nice place. I like that the suite was on the main level. The Aspens is a decent condo complex. Great location for summer or winter. This condo unit has a functional layout for two bedrooms. Nice to have the second bathroom. The carpet needs replacement but the owners tell me this will happen in October, 2015. I am hoping they put in hardwood or laminate as it would wear better than carpet.

Whistler is a four seasons sporty place so you are going to have tenants coming and going a lot which brings wear and tear on the carpet. Look forward to staying there next year.

Great location... with the snow line receding, we were thankful to have just a short walk to the lift at the start & end of our ski days! The "welcome basket" of essentials let us get right to the mountain without running to the grocery store on our first morning. Very comfortable accommodations. We enjoyed the hot tubs & pool as well.

We enjoyed our stay at this condo at the Aspens; we’ve stayed in several condos at the Aspens and this one was one of the nicest. The 2 bedroom layout worked well for the 4 of us and we appreciated your making up both rooms as King Beds since we were 2 couples. The special welcome of eggs, bread, milk, jam for breakfast our first morning there was a fun surprise! This condo is both attractive and comfortable and we hope we can stay again!

Everything was great - the only complaint was the unfriendliness of the front desk lady who just wasn't interested in helping us at all.The elevator was broken in our wing which made unloading all our baggage difficult. However it was fixed the next day. Apart from these minor difficulties, the condo was very well equippedand served our needs perfectly. We loved the pool and hot tub as well as the convenience to the village. It meant we didn't have to drive at all.Of course, we loved the peak to peak ride and saw a black bear as we went up in the chair lift. All in alll this was a lovely and memorable visit.

The location is amazing, right on the slopes with an excellent ski valet service. There are several hot tubs that are also close to slope side so you can relax and watch the skiers going by. The unit is well laid out and equiped and very quiet when we were there.Lots of good movies and tv as well.

We had a blast on our summer getaway.. This lodge is absolutely amazing.. Great home theater(kudos to the ipod dock! it was a great idea :D), It's really cozy and just 2 minutes away of walking distance from Whistler Village. We'll definitely come back here again either in december/summer next year. =D
