Property Description

Located on the 3rd floor of Eagle Lodge. Opens into an entry area with a bench for boot removal. There is an open kitchen, fully equipped and with modern appliances. Beyond the kitchen is a dining area. Past the dining area is the living area with a sofa, chair, table, TV/VCR, and the fireplace. From the living area, a sliding glass door takes you out to the oversize balcony. The bedrooms are located on either side of the living area, with windows looking out to the mountains and the village. One bathroom is ensuite in the master bedroom and the other comes off of the living area. Washer and dryer are located in a closet off of the living area.

Living Area

The living area is done in an almond tan color. It is comfortably furnished with a brand new sofa and armchair. Enjoy the convenience of the gas fireplace or the views out the large windows. Black and white photographs of Whistler are featured, all in natural wood frames. Real wood blinds. Cable TV and VCR provided. Stereo with CD player.

Special Features

Our condo has an exceptionally long balcony (about three times the size of a standard balcony in Town Plaza) that stretches along the southern side of Eagle Lodge. From the balcony (and from the bedrooms and living area), there is a perfect view of Blackcomb to the left and a view of the Town Plaza and Village Stroll to the right. The unit is quiet yet offers the convenience of being located in the middle of the of the shops and restaurants of Whistler Village. The interior is completely different from other Town Plaza units.....we redid it during late 2002 in earth tones and put natural wood throughout the condo.

Art We handpicked a series of professional black and white photographs of the Whistler area from a local photographer. We had them framed in natural wood and they are hanging in all of the rooms of the condo.
Decor Our condo's interior looks significantly different than a standard Town Plaza unit. Our condo now features earth tones (tans, deep red, and a light green). We also put real wood blinds in every window.
Trim We added real wood trim throughout the unit.
Views Great views of the mountains and village. Perfect view of Blackcomb, partial view of Whistler, and views of the Village Stroll from all the rooms and from the oversize balcony.

Non-Smokers Only Please, no smoking in our condo. Smoking is not allowed in any part of Whistler Town Plaza Suites.
Adults - Min Age to Stay: 25 25 years old unless prior approval given. Age will be verified at check-in. Unfortunately, we (and other owners) have had problems with groups of young people abusing our condo. For that reason, we have been forced to institute a 25 year age minimum. If you are under 25 and want to book, please contact us with an inquiry and we can approve your rental.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Don't forget you need a credit card for a deposit on arrival. While we don't take one via the Allura site at time of booking, we do have our front desk take a credit card deposit on arrival.

Cancellations Made by Guests Cancellations made more than 45 days prior to scheduled arrival date are fully refundable less the first night's stay. Cancellations within 45 days of arrival will result in full forfeiture of monies paid unless a replacement booking is made.
Delayed Arrivals
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Mailed when balance of payment is paid.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Ineligible Guests Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments Failure to pay by due dates will result in automatic cancellation. Guests can re-book dates if they are still available; deposit will not be re-charged.
Privacy The Owner, their booking Contact and this web sites technical administrators agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of their Guests without prior written consent from the Guests, except under force of law, or for law enforcement purposes relating to policy and property violation. The Owner and their booking Contact also agree to not use Guest personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Guests. Guests agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of the Owner or their booking Contact without prior written consent from the Owner and/or Contact, except under force of law or for law enforcement purposes. Property Sale All reservations will be honored in the event of sale. This would be made a requirement in the terms of sale.
Reservation Changes If availability permits and in concordance with our cancellation policy. You may lengthen your reservation if availability permits. If you would like to shorten your reservation please give us at least 30 days notice.

Guest Stay Policies

Check-Out Time 10:00 AM. Just let us know if a later check-out time is required.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Noise Will not be tolerated. Noise ordnances are strictly enforced in Town Plaza. Guests that refuse to comply with noise restrictions are subject to eviction.
Housekeeping Complimentary. Condo cleaned before and after your stay. Additionally, complimentary midstay housekeeping on a stay of 8 or more nights.
Liability We are not responsible for any bodily harm to guests or guests of guests while they are on our property or at any location in Whistler Resort.
Maintenance Emergencies 24/7 in resort maintenance. Contacts name/number provided with access information and keys.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 6. A maximum of 6 people are allowed to stay in our condo.
Property Damage Guest assumes all financial responsibility for any damages they may cause. By accepting our guest stay contract (signified by online payment), guests agree to assume financial responsibility for any damages they may cause. The front desk will take a credit card imprint and pre-authorization upon check-in that will only be used in the event of damages.
Rental Accommodation Zoning
Terms of Eviction Guests that will not abide by our policies are subject to eviction. If eviction occurs, the entire reservation amount will be forfeited.

Frequently Asked Questions

Renting Direct From the Owner

Can I save money by renting direct from the owner? Yes. Our rates are typically 20-40% lower than what the rental agencies are charging for units in our building or area (and their units would be unimproved rooms). Another nice feature is that when you rent owner direct you don't pay the 10.5% hotel tax that you would have to pay with a hotel or rental agency. If you combine those savings, you can rent a superior condo direct from us for as little as 50% of the cost of renting from a rental company!
Are there other benefits to renting direct from the owner? Yes. A nice benefit is that you will be able to see exactly what you will be getting by viewing the text and pictures on our site. Everything on our site is specific to our unit, not generic in nature. If you are interested in something in particular (like the mountain view, for example) our site lets you see exactly what you will get, unlike renting from a rental company.
How does the rental process work? If you decide you would like to rent our condo, just click on the Reserve Now button near the top of our web page. The software will walk you through the process. If you have never rented through Alluradirect before, you will be prompted to establish a login by entering your name and contact information. After that, you will just select your dates and read through our policies. To complete your reservation, you will need to provide a deposit (or, inside of 45 days, the full amount). All transactions will be secure, online credit card transactions handled by Alluradirect. We have our software set up so that reservations can be completed "real time" from the web page. There is no need to wait for a response from us......your reservation will be confirmed (and the dates blocked off on our calendar) as soon as the deposit has been paid!
What if there is a maintenance problem while I am staying in the condo? We have an in-resort emergency contact. You will be provided with a 24 hour cell phone number in the event that there are any maintenance problems, etc..
How will I check in and get my key? We will provide instructions for you to pick up your key right from Town Plaza when you arrive. Check-in time is 4 p.m. (if you need an earlier check-in time, just let us know).
How will I check out? You will simply leave the keys on the kitchen counter and lock the door behind you. Check out time is 10 a.m. (just let us know if you need a later check out time).

Our Condo

How good is your location? We think it is ideal. It is right on the Village Stroll, and a short walk to everything Whistler has to offer. It gives you the feel of being in the Village, but doesn't get too much of the late night noise like some other Village locations do.
Is your unit different from other Town Plaza condos? It is. For starters, our condo has a great location within the building. It is an end unit with super views, and also has the unusually large, 25 foot long balcony. Additionally, after we took ownership we redid the interior in late summer 2002. We have tried to create more of a mountain feel in our condo. We put wood trim everywhere, put in wood blinds, and redid the color scheme with new carpet and paint. We also bought the series of professionally done photographs of the Whistler area that runs through the condo. We have been in several other Town Plaza units and really believe that our has more to offer.
How does parking work? There is an underground garage located below Eagle Lodge. The cost is $15/night for parking in the garage. You can arrange this with the front desk at check-in.
How does cleaning work? The condo will be cleaned before and after your stay at no charge for you. Additionally, for stays of over a week we will provide free cleaning weekly. If you desire more frequent cleanings, they can be arranged with advance notice.
Where is the hot tub? The hot tub is located on the ground floor of Eagle Lodge. It seats around 10 or so.

This rental is good value overall - it's affordable, quiet and spacious and in a good location. The jacuzzi is great to use after a day of skiing. Smelled a bit like someone had been smoking here thought. Entryway: suggest adding a few more hooks to wall. Kitchen: overall fine. some dirty dishes found in the cabinets, 2 of the burners don't work. Some spices available for our use. would suggest replacing the nonstick frying pans. Dining area: overall fine. good overhead lighting here. Living room: sofa / arm chair are very comfortable, nice to have fireplace, TV/cable is good, VCR didn't work. Washer/dryer: great to have. appreciate the laundry detergent. Would be good to have some lighting in this closet. Bedrooms: bed in guest bedroom could be more comfortable. Also, would suggest adding some hangers with clips. Bathrooms: overall, fine. shower door in guest bathroom hard to close. We had a building fire alarm around 3:00am one night. Front desk was not around - would suggest leaving guests with a phone number for after hours help. e.g., locked out by accident without key.

Close to lifts, but not on top of the bars.

Very good location - short walk to the lifts and dinner. However, since the bars are further north, we could actually sleep in peace at night; important with kids in tow. The carpets in the hall and elevator need to be replaced - stained and dirty. The unit was dusty, but otherwise nice and clean. The check in desk took care of any issues very quickly and politely. Looking forward to going back.

Great Location/Condo

We've stayed in Whistler many times, and this is the first time we've stayed right in the middle of the village stroll. The location is very convenient. No room in the bike lock-up area to lock our bikes (room was packed with bikes). As for the unit itself, we found it clean and cozy.

The only suggestion I'd make is to add a garlic press to the kitchen collection. Check-in instructions were thorough. We would definitely stay here again.

Eagle Lodge - lots of room

Pros - lots of space, excellent central location, comfy couch, lots of pillows/bedding, we enjoyed afternoon concert/music but is quite loud even with door & windows closed

Cons - (very) late night noise from people leaving nightclub

FYI to owners - as unit sleeps 6 it would be nice to have more than 4 chairs for dining table, unit was clean except for lots of carpet stains

Initially Disappointed

The initial condition of the unit was disappointing after having stayed there previously several years ago. Upon entering it appeared that someone had been laying on the bed in the second bedroom, and the bedside cabinet was askew and partially sitting in the closet. Light bulbs were missing from lamps and both bathrooms. The oven was very dirty, one of the dining chairs was broken, there were no kitchen towels, and the TV in the 2nd bedroom was not working, and though there were VHS tapes in the cabinet drawer and framed instructions how to use it, there was no VCR. With the record high temperatures, the un-air conditioned unit was very hot, and the large fan we found in the laundry closet was dirty and badly broken. I reported all of the above to the front desk and was able to pick up a replacement fan from them that evening...and the housekeeper was contacted and asked to respond the next morning. Over-all response to the reported issues was good. The housekeeper arrived in the morning, and was GREAT, bringing another fan, with her. Maintenance came our second morning to look at the TV and said it wasn't set up for watching, so I would suggest that it, along with the large cabinet it is housed in, be removed from the bedroom to open up space to walk around the bed. And lastly, the amenities list says laundry detergent is included.
