We are avid skiers in the winter and hearty hikers in the summer,so this is our home away from home with all the "Bells and Whistles" including WIFI and a flat screen TV in all 3 bedrooms. Woodrun Lodge, located above the Fairmont Chateau Whistler and within short walking distance of the Four Seasons is in an ideal location for the Sliding events of the Olympics, as we are just below the Sliding Center.Take advantage of our True Ski-In/Ski-Out location; a heated walkway guides you to the slope. "LESS THAN A MINUTE YOU ARE IN IT"...The quad chair,that is, to either mountain. Stainless steel appliances, It has heated tile floors, granite counters, an eating bar and lighting on a dimmer switch. There is also bead lighting running under one of the counters, as an added touch. It is a well stocked with ample dishes, cutlery, baking dishes, pots, pans, and other cooking utensils, condiments.

This is our favorite place to be after a day on the slopes. Fireplace on, music playing, candles lit, and watch the snow drifting down. It's magic!
The dining room area is large and there is extra seating close by at the granite eating bar in the kitchen, if you have company over.
There is only one other unit in the complex like ours with the high 14 ft. ceiling and octabonal living room. I call it our Castle in the Clouds! Don't take the "in the clouds" literally though! Great views from this all windowed living room. Very spacious unit, completely redecorated 2005, Very close to Kids Kamp and Blackcomb Base.

"IN A MINUTE YOU'RE IN IT!" meaning walk past the pool, put your skis on and in a minute you are at the base of Blackcomb with easy access to both mountains. Want to walk down? Only 3 minutes down the slope and at Blackcomb Base you can sample savories in wonderful restaurants, relax in the Mallard Bar with your friends at the Chateau Whistler, or explore the ski shops and boutiques. Want to head for the Whistler Village....only another short pretty walk of 5 minutes. So close to the hustle and bustle of the village, but far enough away to enjoy a QUIET night's sleep. This was our fourth stay at this relaxing, wonderful Woodrun condo, and we had a great time there with friends, once again.
We highly recommend it for the fabulous view of mountains and trees; the quiet, comfy atmosphere; the accommodating Woodrun reception staff and amenities; the terrific beds and linens; and the private but convenient location. The unit had been newly remodeled since our last stay, and we particularly enjoyed the remote-controlled window blinds in the living room. Amazing!

It's no easy to see why Dawne has so many 5 star ratings for not only her beautiful property, but also her customer service. Pre-Booking: was very attentive to all my questions. Post-Booking/Pre-Arrival: Dawne reached out and provided a significant amount of information on the condo, area, tips/tricks, directions, grocery store, etc. Stay: Phenomenal. The unit was just remodeled prior to our arrival. It's spacious, appealing and comfortable. Nice when staying at someones home when they make it feel so welcoming and they outfit it with quality furniture, kitchenware, etc. The beds are comfortable, the area is quiet. It is truly Ski In/Ski Out.. one of the most convenient places I've ever stayed. Overall: Highly recommend!!
We stayed here over New Years and enjoyed the condo very much. We've been coming to Whistler for 15 years and this is the nicest condo we've rented. The views from the condo were fabulous and the finishes were first rate. The access to lifts is second to none and Woodrun amenities were nice. The other feature that was important to us is the unit is very quiet. Would stay here again.
We had a great time in Whistler and thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautifully appointed Condo. It was very comfortable and the views were spectacular. It's very close to the village and easy to get to walking trails, biking trails and shopping centers. We had a few special requests and Dawne worked with us to insure any and all questions were answered and she assisted us in making the proper arrangements for our equipment. I will absolutely be staying here next year and can not wait to get back!
Our group of five (Senior couple with Daughter and two granddaughters) had a fabulous time staying in the Woodrun unit 601. the unit itself has everything one requires in accommodation and we enjoyed the music and TV as well as just playing card games, reading and relaxing after our almost daily bike rides. Some of us took the Peak to Peak Gondola ride in the sunshine and what views we had. All in all Whistler and Woodrun are great places to visit and stay and we would love to come back at some time in the future.

This condo is clean and very well appointed. Spacious and my kids love the heated floor! And it is a ski-in, ski-out condo which is great for families! It feels good to be able to go to this kind of place after a long day of skiing. You can truly relax! The kitchen has almost everything you need to make meals. And if you feel like going out to the village, it is only about a 5 minute drive. You will never be disappointed. (One note: The locker room could have been bigger and cleaner.)
Fantastic property conveniently located in the upper village and just steps from the slopes. The property was clean, well furnished, and perfect size for three couples. The hot tub is huge and the ski storage on the first floor was nice for keeping the gear out of the unit.
We stayed at the penthouse with 2 other couples, for a total of 6 people and never felt cramped. The kitchen was well equipt...we stayed in 3 nights and cooked. The penthouse was beautiful! However, our main complaint was the shared hot tub. After a long day of skiing, nothing is better than a soak in the hot tub. However, everytime we went in, it was full of young children. I'm talking 10+ kids at a time! I love kids, but getting constaintly splashed in the face and kicked when it should be a relaxing experience, was very annoying. Most parents, if they were even in the hot tub, didn't seem to care. I would suggest that the staff put a "no children under age of 5 allowed" sign on the rules. There is a large heated pool right next to the hot tub that is better suited for young children to work off their energy...and leave the hot tub to the adults to enjoy their time at the lodge as well.
We have an annual guys ski trip to Whistler every year which was in its 16th year this year. This was our first stay in this unit and it is the nicest one we have stayed in. Woodrun is as good a ski-in ski-out place as you can get. Everything in the unit was top notch. It is now our preferred condo for our Whistler trip.
This is the most beautiful place we've ever stayed at. Every aspect of the home was top notch, from the layout (14 ft vaulted ceiling with incredible views from every room and window) to high quality/comfortable furniture, heated floors, separately controlled thermostats in each room, beautiful cabinetry, etc. We were surrounded by views of the mountains all around, the ski lift/run off to the left, upper village lights at night, and 6 foot icicles hanging from the roof. Doesn't get any better than that! The family enjoyed skiing right up to our building, and then easy storage access inside. I enjoyed sitting in the hot tub, slope side. We also loved being walking distance from the upper village.
Thanks to Dawne and Harry Dye for sharing this condo with our family of five. Room enough for everyone to have their own space in this three bedroom deluxe rental. Every amenity has been supplied. This plus the wonderful views will make this penthouse home our families first choice upon our next visit to Whistler. This was our second stay at Dawne & Harry's penthouse condo and you couldn't ask for better accommodations. The condo is exceptional, has everything in it for a relaxing and comfortable stay. It is close to both the upper and lower villages. It has all the comforts of home and we definitely will be coming back for another stay.
From the moment we entered the apartment we felt as if we should be there. We travelled from australia, with our 4 teenage children so it had been a long hike. The penthouse itself is wonderful and lends itself to a large group - its almost like a house. The fit out is luxurious and every attention to detail is considered - from the Christmas tree being up, to the table being set for dinner. There is space for everyone and the living area catered well for us all. I love the entrance so kids knew to strip off their snow gear and boots before entering the carpeted area - oh and underfloor heating - how good is that? Not something us aussies are familiar with - especially from Queensland. The whole ski in ski out experience makes for an easy day on the slopes. Just pop back for lunch, dry off a bit, re-fuel, and hit the slopes again. We had a terrific family experience and will be back. Thanks Dawne and Harry.
This condo is a treasure! Can't wait to go back again. Decor is beautifully done - Whistler Style. Location is an easy walk to the Village. Hot tub and pool were a great way to end the day!
The home is bright and spacious with beautiful decor and great views of the surrounding mountains. The pictures do not do it justice. First impression- this home delivers the wow factor. It is conveniently located within walking distance to ski hills and hiking and biking trails, as well as shopping and all types of dining experiences.The amenities (gym, pool) were above adequate. Typically we stay in hotels like the Westin or Fairmont or other 3 bedroom condos but this home was the nicest and most convenient by far. The 3 couples in our group loved the condo and we are planning to make it our annual accommodation for Whistler getaways. The only item we would have liked to have in the complex was a barbecue in the common area. Everything else was perfect. We would highly recommend this home to anyone wishing memorable accommodations while visiting Whistler. It truly was spectacular.
This is our second stay in this outstanding condo, and we're still raving about how great it is! It's beautifully decorated with a perfect combo of elegance and casual comfort, has a magnificent view, is well appointed and supplied, and is very quiet but only a short distance from the Whistler Upper Village with fun eating spots, shops, a grocery and a liquor store!! Even includes pool, hot tub and fitness center. It's particularly a tremendous value in the off season. We'll be back, and continue to tell our family and friend about it, too! Delighted lodgers, G
We did enjoy our stay, the condo is very nice. The only thing was the second bedroom was setup as 2 beds, putting them together was ok, but then we had to find king size sheets. We would look into this place again when in Whistler. Thank you.
We use Vrbo and it is always a little bit of a surprise how different the pictures look and some can be a real surprise. This condo exceeded our expectations and we felt like we were in one of our homes. Dawne and Harry were great from the beginning and we hope we can rent from them again!
This condo was better than a suite in a hotel because it had laundryand, everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom with every amenity the owners could think of... flat screen t.v.s, pool towels... There is a huge living room, dining room and lovely kitchen, again with every amenity. The condo was close to The Chateau, which offers spa facilities and walking distance to the village.
No complaints--woodrun is a great location and the apartment is lovely, well appointed, cozy yet luxurious, with wonderful views and a great living room. It accommodated 6 people although the 2 baths were tight at times at the third bedroom is a cozy fit. Neverthless, we enjoyed it and feel that we were well treated. Highly recommended.
I bring one or more of my sons up to Whistler most years. We usually stay at The Four Seasons or the Pan Pacific Mountainside. This year I brought 3 adult sons and knew that we needed more space than a 2 bedroom hotel suite . So, for the first time I rented a condo... what a different experience... for the boys, it was of course the ski-in/ski-out access, but the puzzles, board games and videos they discovered in the well stocked cupboards were especially enjoyed in front of the fireplace after a long ski day. For me... it was having a washer & dryer in the unit after a wet ski day. How nice to wake up in the morning, make coffee, fix a little breakfast and curl up to enjoy the spectacular views. I don't ski anymore, so I want to enjoy the place where I stay... and the master bedroom & bath were quite luxurious. The spa at The Chateau Whistler was 5 minutes away :) and then we could all meet back at the end of the day and retire to our own space & flat screen t.v or spread out our computers on the large dining room table. The owners have put great thought into providing every amenity, but I especially appreciated the dimmer lights everywhere, the heated floors and the thermostat controls in every room (1 bedroom could be hot and the other cold... wow!)
This is probably one of the best rental properties at Whistler/Blackomb. High ceilings, heated floors, an abundance of light, ski-in/ski/out, comfortable rooms and bathrooms, no one above you, not much more you can ask for. This property is terrific and we plan to return every year.

We highly recommend Harry and Dawne's penthouse condo. Truly ski in/ski out with all the amenities. The condo is perfectly outfitted and outdoor heated pool and hot tub were enjoyed every evening. Great selection of Dvd's, too! We loved the skiing at Whistler/Blackcomb. Great snow, amazing views and runs for all levels.
We stayed here with our 2 children for 4 nights. It was perfect for us. Spacious & immaculate with a very convenient ski-in/ski-out location. Highly recommended!
A beautiful, luxurious and spacious condo with charm and great views from the picture windows. Excellent for ski in and out and only about a 10-15 minute easy walk to the villiage (depending on how much snow is underfoot). One of the best places to stay on the mountain if you want true ski in and out...which was our top priority! I did my homework well and this condo did not disappoint. It was just perfect!
Wonderful Condo, clean, comfortable, nice location, easy ski in-out. Great pool and spa. Condo was decorated for the holiday season creating a wonderful warm cozy holiday ambiance.
This unit is easily one of the best condos at Whistler and I can't wait to go back. My wife and I, along with three friends, spent three nights here over Thanksgiving. We all agreed that this was the nicest place that we had ever stayed at Whistler and is also a great deal. Here were some of the things that make this unit stand out: - It was immaculately clean when we arrived, and it was well stocked with some kitchen essentials (condiments, oil, etc. and nice toiletries). - The furniture is high quality and the style lends itself to a very relaxing time. - The beds were comfortable and everyone slept great. - The 14 foot ceilings in the living room, combined with the enormous windows, create a remarkable ambiance. It's even better if you turn on the nice gas fireplace. - The kitchen has high quality appliances and counters, and we had no problems cooking a large Thanksgiving dinner here. There were more pots, pans, etc. than any rental unit we've ever seen. The only thing I would change is the addition of some sharper knives. - There is a large flat panel television and nice stereo in the living room, and smaller flat panel TVs in each bedroom. One recommendation - bring a 1/8" stereo - RCa cable if you want to plug a portable music player into the stero. - The location can't be beat for skiing, and the village is a nice stroll away. - The hottub is huge and the heated pool is kept at a very comfortable temperature. - The parking is free and heated. - The staff at the desk was friendly and helpful. Overall, Dawne and Harry clearly take a lot of pride in satisfying their guests, and I plan to check availability of this unit first for all future trips to Whistler.
Fantastic views, vaulted ceilings, spacious living area and a fantastic hot tub! Blackcomb wasn't open yet so we didn't get to enjoy the ski in/ski out feature. Top of the line accomodations will not dissapoint!
We all had a great time. The suite was absolutely beautiful. I would love to live there permanently. I loved the decorating, it is so warm, homey but luxurious. The perfect location to get to everything. I would love to go every year.
We have stayed in dozens of vacation condos around the world that are rented directly by their owners -- in Deer Valley (Park City, Utah), Vail, Lake Tahoe (Nevada), London, and elsewhere. This condo is definitely one of the nicest we have ever rented. It was just beautiful. I'll also add that although we never met the owners (the Dyes), we'd love to -- they were so easy to do business with. And we loved Whistler so much that we wanted to extend our stay by one additional night. By sheer luck, the condo was available that extra night, and the owners made that really easy for us. Just delightful all the way around. We'd recommend this place, and these owners, to anyone.
This condo in Whistler was even better than we had expected, and we had high expectations after seeing the photos. The views were absolutely amazing from every window. And convenience! We hardly used the car but walked everywhere. We loved the chairlifts and gondola rides, saw bears from there and had a snowball fight at the top of Whistler, a real treat for Floridians. We even went ziplining. What a trip. Thanks so much for the bottle of wine and for sharing your home. It was much more fun than a hotel would have been.
We enjoyed staying at the condo. It was exactly as the pictures. Everything was clean and in working order. Great location as our daughter was graduating and the festivities were at the Whistler Fairmont Chateau just down the hill. We will definitely be back. Great value. We were the envy of all our friends as one night we had them over for drinks. Everybody was very impressed. Spectacular views and all around fabulous place. The fresh flowers and bottle of wine on arrival was a nice personal touch. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to others!
As I write this note we (6 Irish dedicated ski bods) are packing our bags to head home! Here the weather has been great, the food indulgent, the drink plentiful and the surroundings outstanding. The condo has provided the most wonderful setting for fireside sit downs and welcome relaxation after the punishing strain on our bodies from our downhill adventures. This condo was TOP OF THE LINE! The panoramic views were incredible from the floor to ceiling windows. Everything about this place says "Pure elegence and taste". All of the appliences and furniture were the best that money can buy. I felt like I was in a Palace! The balcony off of the living room was fantastic for relaxing and reading with beautiful views. It is truly one of the nicest places we have stayed. We plan to visit again in the winter and watch the snow fall from those fabulous windows while cozying up by the fire, and then skiing right out the back door. The owners were the most hospitable people we have encountered, and would gladly rent from them again.
We had a fabulous time here at Whistler/Blackcomb. The condo was the most luxurious place we've ever stayed here! The decor is incredibale and the owners have stocked it with all the comforts of home... and the view and location were awesome. We had great communication with the owners as they graciously answered all our guestions prior to our trip via email. We definitely will return to stay here again and again.
Cet appartement très bien situé au pied des pistes de ski et à l'environnement proche de forêts et lacs nous a permis de passer des vacances extraordinaires. Lumineux, confortable, spacieux, sécurisé, bien équipé, décoré avec beaucoup de soin et aux goûts raffinés, les propriétaires avaient mis à notre attention petits savons, informations sur les us et coutumes du dit appartement. Il se dégage de celui ci une chaleur de bien être facilitée par une vision panoramique sur la montagne. Fabuleux !!! Nous avons passé en été un merveilleux séjour agrémenté de balades pédestres et avons participé aux nombreuses activités proposées par le village de Whistler au charme incomparable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo and have already recommended it to others. The views and location are magnificent and every detail has been attended to! The decor is beautiful and the outdoor hot tub/pool were fantastic. We hope to return soon. Whistler/Blackcomb is a wonderful place to vacation and this unit was a delight!
We have actually stayed in the Woodrun complex for several years but this unit in particular is by far our favorite place to stay. The personal touches and beautiful decorating make it feel like a luxurious home away from home. All the bed are comfortable and have warm, comfy duvets on them. The kitchen has all the amenities for making full dinners. The owners have been wonderful to interact with and have been extremely helpful with any of our questions. This is truly a diamond of a place!
Service was great, the view and location could not have been better, the accommodations were costly but very nice.
We stayed at this fabulous penthouse in February 2009 and this was our 4th trip to Whistler and by far the best for accommodation and location. The booking process was very easy and the owners provided plenty of information prior to our arrival. We stayed for 9 nights in total and thoroughly enjoyed this amazing "home away from home". The furnishings, amenties and the fantastic location guaranteed us a brilliant time. The penthouse was huge for our family of 6 and although the furnishings were very high end the space retained a great cosy feel. Our boys felt so at home and the games, DVD's and jigsaws meant hours of entertainment off the slopes. The massive hot tub was a huge plus and we loved coming in off the slopes and rushing down to relax and relive the day's excitement with our own sons and other families. The location of the penthouse in the building meant we were not disturbed at all during our stay. The skiing, whilst needing a "top up" held up well and the brilliant sunshine more than made up for it. We hope to be back in 2011 and without hesitation we shall be checking the availability of this condo first.
Fabulous location, true ski-in/ski-out. We loved the heated walkway to the slopes, the huge hot tub and the heated slopeside pool. Really a well-supplied condo, they thought of everything, from all the DVD's, games and puzzles for us and the kids, to the flatscreen tv's in each bedroom and the large one in the living room. Great views, the two balconies, the fine furnishings and all the amenities they supplied. We really appreciated the personal contact with this couple also. A beautiful, very spacious condo with high ceilings and all windows. Very comfortable with a warm, welcoming feeling. Loved the old ski poster gallery in the entrance hall. Highly recommend this home away from home.
We spent a wonderful week this past summer in Woodrun 601. It was one of the very best rentals we have ever had. Very spacious, with stunning views from all windows was much enjoyed and appreciated.THe convenience of flatscreen tv's in all three bedrooms and free wireless was definitely an added bonus. All exceeded our expectations.Coming half way around the world to stay in the most beautiful and comfortable condo in one of the most beautiful places in the world was worth every kilometer.
