Welcome to our mountain holiday home. We proudly offer our suite to you and your family to enjoy. Located slope-side in the Aspens on Blackcomb.

The Aspens offers ski in/ski out accommodation in one of the best hill locations in Whistler. It is situated on the slopes of Blackcomb Mountain just a short ski or walk down to the Wizard Express chair lift and the children's ski school. The Aspens is equipped with a heated swiming pool and three hot tubs, as well as a fitness room, laundry facilities, secure ski storage and under ground secure pay parking - all this within easy skiing or walking distance of the village and all its amenities. The Aspens is just as convenient in summer - close to Lost Lake and the Upper Village Adventure Zone.

Property Description

The layout maximizes the use of space. You enter directly into the open dining and living room, with the kitchen to the left and the second bathroom to the right. There is a closet next to the entrance. The master bedroom is on the left of the living room and the second bedroom is on the right. The door to the deck is at the far end of the living room, and the windows of the master bedroom look out to the deck. The windows of the second bedroom overlook the swimming pool. Both bedrooms have closets.

Complimentary Housekeeping Before check-in and after check-out, as well as midway cleaning for guests staying seven nights or longer.
Deck The deck features a love seat and two chairs with cushions and a coffee table, with a great view down to the pool deck and over the rooftops to the mountains. It faces north west.
Dishwasher Included
DVD Player Panasonic Blu-ray player. Also plays DVDs and CDs. Some blu-ray discs and DVDs are provided in the TV cabinet.
Fireplace A cosy natural gas fireplace; easy to use.
Fresh Linens Bed linens, bath towels and hot tub towels will be provided for each guest. Ask at the front desk for hot tub towels.
Games Some children's games are provided in the second bedroom cabinet.
Hairdryer On each bathroom wall.
Internet Access Free wireless internet access is provided in the suite. The router supports 802.11 b/g/n. A 15 ft Ethernet cable is also available for wired use if needed. You need to bring your own Wifi-enabled device. The internet speed is 30 Mbit/s download and 5 Mbit/s upload.

Pool - Free & On Site Large year-round heated pool in the courtyard. (Pool is closed one week in October for annual maintenance.)
Resort Information Some is provided in suite. Also provided at the front desk.
Stereo Panasonic mini-stereo in living room that plays CDs, with Lightning iPhone dock, AirPlay, Bluetooth, USB and RCA inputs. Each bedroom has a Sony clock radio with a 30-pin iPod dock. Master bedroom also has an iHome clock radio with a Lightning iPhone dock.
Telephone Free local calls. The telephone is a cordless Panasonic, with one handset in the master bedroom and one in the living room. The base station includes a digital answering machine.
TV-Cable Shaw HD cable TV is provided free. The TV is a Panasonic 42-inch plasma 1080p HDTV with USB and HDMI hookups on the side for iPods and cameras etc. It has an Apple TV (third generation) attached for AirPlay from recent Macs and iOS devices and content from your iTunes or Netflix account, etc.
VCR Yes. Some children's videos provided in the TV cabinet.

Guest Parking Underground pay-and-display parking is available for $15 per day per vehicle. Guests pay for parking on arrival at the ticket machine located just inside the lobby. Proceed to the front desk to obtain a magnetic key card which will open the gate to the underground parking. Parking is not reserved, guests can park anywhere except for a few marked off spaces. During the summer, you may park for free on the street if you prefer, subject to availability. During the snow clearance season, there is no street parking.
Hot Tub Three hot tubs in courtyard.
Internet Access Wireless internet is available throughout the Aspens.

Location & Map


Possibly the best slopeside location in Whistler. The Aspens on Blackcomb is located in the Upper Village, just up the slope from the Wizard Express high speed chair lift. Our suite is on the slope side of the Aspens. The ski school and Blackcomb Day Lodge are extremely close, making after-skiing pick up of children very convenient.

The Upper Village is favoured by those who want proximity to all Village attractions, while staying in a quieter neighbourhood. The Upper Village has a great selection of boutiques, ski shops, cafes, restaurants and bars, but the Village is only a pleasant 10 minute walk away. Lost Lake is also within walking distance.

Once you arrive at the Aspens you do not require a car, everything you need is accessible on foot.

At the base of Blackcomb Mountain, across the road from the Chateau Whistler Hotel, is a small gourmet grocery store, with a very good selection of food items, dairy and produce. Use this store for last minute items without going to the larger IGA supermarket in Village North. Link:

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Cancellations Made by Guests All payments are non-refundable. Refunds will be issued for re-booked dates at the lower price and are subject to a 4% cancellation fee. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights or vacation-related products.
Delayed Arrivals No refunds. We are not responsible for circumstances which result in delayed arrivals. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights or vacation-related products.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Check-in and arrival instructions will be emailed upon balance payment.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Ineligible Guests Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments Failure to pay by the due dates will result in automatic cancellation without a deposit refund. Guests can re-book dates if they are still available; deposit will not be re-charged.
Privacy The Owner, their booking Contact and this web sites technical administrators agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of their Guests without prior written consent from the Guests, except under force of law, or for law enforcement purposes relating to policy and property violation. Guest Stay Policies

Bike Storage Please do not take bikes into the suite. The bike storage facilities are located in the parkade, near the entrance. Bikes are stored at the risk of the Guest. Bikes are not permitted in elevators, stairs or other common areas, per strata bylaws.
Check-In Time 4pm. Check in advance for possible early arrivals.
Check-Out Time 10am. Check in advance for possible late departures.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Noise This is a family-oriented, quiet development. Noise complaints may result in eviction by local police or security personnel. Normal conversation and laughter are permitted. Screaming, swearing, yelling, etc are not.
Garbage Removal Please remove garbage from suite at end of your stay. Garbage room is located in small building outside to the right of the front door of the Aspens. Place recycling in the appropriate bins and garbage in the compactor.
Housekeeping Cleaning after departure is included. Additional housekeeping can be arranged for a fee.
Liability The Guest doing the booking is responsible and liable for all damages, and for ensuring that these policies are respected and adhered to. Guest releases property owners from liability for loss, theft or injury while in transit to the property, in the property, or on resort lands.
Maintenance Emergencies Guest has Concierge details on check in information. Guest must contact Concierge in all cases
Maximum Sleeping Capacity The suite sleeps a maximum of six people. Additional persons will result in immediate eviction. Owner also reserves the right to reverse the reservation within 24 hours of booking.
Property Damage Property damage of common or private property includes: physical damage, excessive cleaning, defacing property, excessive noise, littering, lude public behaviour, missing or stolen items. Guest agrees to pay for all private or common property damage caused by the Guest themselves, or a member of their party. Guests may also be evicted. Refunds will not be issued in the event of eviction. Owner reserves the right to request Guest account termination.
Rental Accommodation Zoning This property is zoned for nightly rentals.
Ski & Snowboard Gear Storage Please do not bring skis or snowboards into the suite. Complimentary ski and snowboard valet storage is provided for all Aspens guests; see staff at ski shop or in courtyard. Skis and snowboards etc are stored at the risk of the Guest. Skis and snowboards etc are not permitted in elevators, stairs or other common areas, per strata bylaws.
Terms of Eviction More than one complaint from security will result in eviction.

Check in/check out

Can I have an early check in/late check out? Please contact us a week or so before arrival. We will try to accommodate you, subject to other guests leaving/arriving the same day.
I will be arriving late in the day, is that a problem? No. We will have E-mailed you your personal code to open the door to the suite, which is all you need to get in. If the front desk is closed when you arrive, so that you cannot get a key card for the gate to the underground parking, you can park outside the gate if there is space or send a passenger round to open the gate from the inside. Parking tickets are obtained from a vending machine just inside the lobby door.
I will be leaving early in the day, is that a problem. No. The night before you leave, just make sure to return to the front desk everything you have borrowed from them, such as pool towels, pool deck key fob, etc.


Can the king bed be split in two? Sorry, no.
Can the twin beds be put together? Yes. Please ask if you would like them made up that way for you. No charge.


How far is it to the ski slope? From the suite, if you go down the stairs, about 30 yards from the outside door to the ski slope. From there it is a 150 yards ski down to the Upper Village and the Wizard Express chairlift. You can see the base of the Wizard Express from the suite. In other words, you are very close.
Can I ski back to the Aspens? Yes, except possibly very early or very late in the season. Coming down the mountain, follow the signs to the Upper Village, and look for the Aspens on the right just before you get to the base. From the Upper Village, you can ride the short Magic chairlift up and ski down to the Aspens.


How quiet is the suite? Mostly very quiet. The suite is on the top floor, at the end of a corridor, at the opposite end of the building from the parking loop, and on the inside of the courtyard away from beeping grooming machines. Sometimes there is some noise from the courtyard, but the hot tubs and pool are closed at 10:30pm.

mixed feelings

For the price we paid it was good value. The TV channel changer didn't work well and there were a few cleanliness issues. One of the beds was a hard and a few lights were out...all minor stuff really. There were a lot of younger people at the aspens and many were parting and all that comes with that. The hot tubs were awesome, and the view from this unit was very nice. Whistler is a big party city in the summer with concerts and events all summer. we stayed during the Pemberton music festival. Seems like Whistler is no longer for just regular families with children but loud and obnoxious teenagers and 20 something teenagers. Too Bad.

Great location if you want a little peace and quiet but still within a short walk to the Village. Lost Lake is also about a 15 minute walk away. Convenient and pleasant. The pool and hot tub were great. It was more spacious than the pictures depicted. Thanks for a lovely time!

The unit is exactly as described by the owner and was a perfect fit for our family of 2 adults and 17 year old. Kitchen is a little small, but well equipped and functional. Other amenities at the property were good. Great ski in/out location. Two great days of skiing, then the rains came...oh well you can't always count on the weather - we still had a fantastic trip!

We have stayed in the Aspens maybe 20 times over the past 16 or so years and this is my favorite unit. It is slightly but noticeably larger than the other 2-bedroom units, and the 5th floor is much quieter. The unit is spotlessly clean and well cared for, and the kitchen is very well supplied.
