We are located close to the lifts and have ski in/ski out access directly to and from our back door.

We have been skiing for more than 25 years and skied many resorts in Europe, Canada and the USA. After all of this we decided to choose Big White to have a permanent ski home. WHY? Its the snow, just as it says in all the advertisements. The people here are all very helpful, friendly and make you welcome to their mountain. We enjoy the relaxed nature, uncrowded runs with a variety of runs for skiers of all ages and abilities. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do and become hooked on Big White.

We returned to Big White after a year's break and what a delight it was to walk into South Point again. It's such a wonderful apartment, beautifully appointed with fantastic heating, comfortable furniture and stunning views. The three weeks we spent in Big White were quite magical and we were lucky enough to have many days of fresh powder snow and a number of 'Bluebird' days as well! Thank you to the Housekeeping Staff who serviced the apartment during our stay and the hot tub maintenance crew who kept the hot tub in pristine condition. Five Days at Southport

I thought the condo and its amenities -- kitchen, bathrooms, beds (except for the sofa bed, which had a broken frame) were first-rate. My reservations relate to issues external to the condo itself. Specifically, we had what my son referred to as "heel walkers" in the condo above us; they made so much noise just walking about the condo that it seriously interfered with our quiet enjoyment of the property. My son called on them with a polite request that they try to walk a little more quietly, but that request was ignored. Happily, they apparently slept at night and didn't rise again until 7:00 am or thereabouts, so there was some relief at night.
My second concern had to do with the storage of garbage in the garage. It was disgusting, with broken plastic bags of food waste on the floor, an overflow of beer and liquor bottles in the recycling section, and an overflow of garbage bags in the bins. I didn't get the impression that the property managers were delivering an acceptable level of service, at least in relation to the management of garbage. In the same vein, though not as serious, were the presence of sodden cigarette butts on the walkway outside the front door of the condo. (No one in our group was a smoker.)
As noted, my concerns relate to issues external to the condo and are not to be construed as a complaint about the condo itself. Having said that, it would have been a small improvement to provide separate bins in the condo for garbage and food waste, on the one hand, and recyclables (glass, plastic, etc.) on the other.View Full Review Owner Has Responded

We have had the pleasure of staying in the Southpoint building a few times over the past few years and it never disappoints. This was our first time staying in this particular unit and it completely lived up to all of our expectations. The unit is well maintained and nicely furnished. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen which was well stocked. The hot tub was wonderful.

We stayed for the second year in a row at South Point, Andy and Judith Haliday's beautiful home in the snow. We only wish our stay could have been longer. it is a wonderfully appointed apartment with everything provided and at such a high standard. The only disappointment is that it looks like that most of South Point is booked out for the first part of January in 2016. Hopefully we can find some dates later in January/early February while we are still on summer holidays in Australia. First-class Condo in Big White

I stayed at 22 Southpoint March 22-27 with my brother and my son and his wife. We were delighted with the condo: it was clean, the beds were comfortable, the linens were fresh, there were ample towels, the kitchen was well-equipped, etc. A feature that deserves more attention is the condo's location. It's located below the village, perhaps 200 yards from the base. We were surprised and pleased to be able to ski from the condo to the base, board the gondola and get ourselves up to the village, where we could access the lifts, the restaurants and the grocery and liquor stores. This location also meant that we could ski in the morning, come back to condo for lunch and a rest and then go skiing again in the afternoon, with a shower and a soak in the hot tub before dinner. It was a genuine ski in/ski out experience at a reasonable price. The only negative related not to the condo per se, but rather to the building's property and waste management services. The garage where the garbage and recyclables were stored was a sorry, sorry mess. I'll leave it at that, without further elaboration.

The service and assistance given by all staff at Big White was fantastic. Our accommodation was perfect. The kitchen was beautifully appointed a joy to prepare meals in. It had every type of quality kitchen appliance and equipment required. The siting room area with the gas log fire was delightful to relax in after a day skiing and of course, the hot tub on the balcony was very relaxing and spotlessly clean. The bedrooms were also beautifully appointed with luxurious doonas, towels and sheets. This apartment is a credit to the owners.
