Welcome to our Home away from home. We are perfectly  situated at the base of the very comfortable 6 seat Whistler  Creek Gondola.  During the last couple of years the unit , building   have undergone some fantastic upgrading; new flooring , pillow top mattres, paint ing, expanded hot tub, grand arched entrance.

How far to the lifts you ask.? Once you go down the elevator, grab your skis out of the lobby ski locker,exit the front enrance-cross the street-up 15 stairs and 30 meters latter you are sitting on the gondola. Its so easy I quite often ski in for lunch. Everything is there at the base, guest services, ski school, ski shop, ski repairs,retaraunts, starbucks, bank, full grocery store and even  the podium for 2010 Olympic downhill. The local and experienced Whistler Mountain skiers choose this Gondola to upload over the hustle and bustle of the main village. No problem going to  Blackcomb Mountain  a shuttle is running every 15 minutes right out front of our building and will drop you off right in front of the lifts. Only a 10 min. ride. ..

Our unit is cozy, comfortable, clean, fully equiped and is ready for you to kick back and enjoy. Our guest book is full of great stories ,experiences and thanks you's from our guests describing  the great times they have enjoyed while soaking up the comforts of my mountain home.I  look forward to reading the  page you are going to write describing  your great holiday. A common quote- "We just hated to leave. As soon as we walked in the door it felt like home. " Our photo gallery tells allot about the quality  unit and building. Lake Placid Lodge  is easy to find and is setup well for the ease of unloading your baggage. Pull up to the front lobby doors, grab a luggae cart, lock up your skis in the locker room , park in the secured underground parking.  then up the elevator to the unit, slip into your swimsuite , grab a drink of choice and then head down to the hot tub , heated outdoor pool or sauna and your there. You are now  in full Vacation mode.  This is the life......................

What I like about the drive I have been coming up to Whistler for eigth years and I always enjoy the beauty of the Sea to Sky Highway
Where to get the best views I like to stop in at Shannon Falls, stretch me legs and walk around the park and walk up the path and view the falls.
Worst thing about the drive I guess it has to be black Ice but if you are careful and drive safely it should not be a problem. Let the speeders go just do not become one of them
