Private setting with beautiful landscaping and views. Ski-in and ski-out. Easy access to village. Ski-out downhill via short crosscountry access trail to Morrissey lift, then down beginner trails (or advanced if you wish!) to village. Ski home via intermediate trail on Sundance mountain straight to our door! 5 min drive to village. 10 minute walk via road. Shuttle to village every 30 minutes. Young children and beginning skiers will need to be driven (5 mins) or walk to village ski school (10 mins) if they are not ready to use lifts. Ski-in is an easy to intermediate run.

|Complaints Concerning Property||Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.|

|Fill up your gas tank before you arrive||There are no gas stations within the Sun Peaks Resort. There is a small gas station at Heffley Creek, 30 minutes from the village, and of course in Kamloops, 45 minutes from the village. |Can I arrive by air?||Sun Peaks is located at the base of Tod Mountain, a 45 minute drive from the city of Kamloops, BC. Kamloops is serviced by an international airport with regular flights from Vancouver, Seattle and Toronto. Major car rentals are available at the airport. A wide paved highway takes you directly to Sun Peaks resort, where snow is cleared regularly. Shuttle service from the airport is easily arranged - but book ahead! We will send you detailed travel information at the time of booking.|
|We will be driving. Could you provide detailed directions?||We will send you detailed maps as well as internet links to weather/driving updates.|
|Where can I buy groceries?||Kamloops (population 80,000) has a large Save-On, Safeway, and COSTCO grocery stores just off the highway. Bring everything in by car - we have a large fridge, freezer, and lots of cupboard space. There is a small grocery store in Sun Peaks Resort with restricted hours.|
|I am arriving by air. How will I bring in groceries?||There is a grocery delivery service from Kamloops; they will shop for you and bring you everything you need! A small grocery store with restricted hours is located within Sun Peaks Resort. There are several take-out restaurant options for prepared meals "at home".|
|Is there a ski school?||Sun Peaks has an excellent ski school for even the youngest of preschoolers. The program for little ones also includes a daycare component. Sun Peaks is a very family friendly resort with two carpet lifts, a gentle platter lift area and many easy (green) runs.|
|What other activities are available for children?||A fun twin tubing course is located at the top of the platter lift. There is a "kiddie snowmobile" park, and skating. Not to mention snowball fights and trips to the candy store! We have stocked our townhome with many toys, videos, games and books to keep your youngsters (and ours) busy!|
|Will there be opportunities to dine?||We have provided a comprehensive binder full of information regarding dining within Sun Peaks Resort. This include menus from the 10 restaurants ranging from pizza and homeade eateries to fine European dining. We recommend reservations during peak periods.|
|What can I buy in the village?||There are many lovely shops offering ski wear for children as well as adults, gift items, specialty clothing, chocolates and candy. The ambiance is that of a small European village. Do not expect the large chain stores of Whistler, but do expect a very relaxed and intimate setting.|
|Will I develop skinny latte withdrawal?||Not a chance. Specialty and regular coffees available at many locations within the resort to maintain the caffeine blood levels. And make good use of our own coffeemaker and expressomaker.|
Too much nature
|Will I experience urban withdrawal?||Definitely. Those allergic to crystal clear air, blue skies, mountain vistas, and still nights should be gradually acclimatized and spend brief weekend visits on multiple occasions before succumbing to long 7 night stays (side effects such as a wish to permanently move to the mountains might otherwise occur). Those unaccustomed to huge windows with panoramic views should rent a small condo instead.|
|I have trouble with bad back / stiff joints / soft hotel beds.||Stay with us. We do too! That is why we ordered custom made firm plush mattresses on all our beds, and offer two kings and three queens (more room to establish that spread out, pillow hugging sleeping posture and feel so good you wish no one will wake you up in the morning - not guaranteed for those with children, but there is room for them in the bed too).|
|I like a little bit of pampering on my vacations? Is there a good spot for this?||There are three spas within Sun Peaks Resort (and one at the four star Delta Resort for their guests). We have provided information within our resources binder. Manicures, pedicures, facials, massages all available. So go ahead and pamper yourself!|

Overall very happy with our stay. The place was clean and felt very comfortable.
Had some issues with the front door lock and the garage door handle that left us locked out for 45 mins, but after finding the pool maintenance guy and borrowing his screw driver so I could remove the door handle and put it back in a temporary fashion so we could use the door, it was fine. Once we got back in I was able to call the maintenance company and they came first thing the following morning to repair it. The only other thing was we had hoped for was the Cappuccino machine that was advertised, but the machine was not there.
I would certainly stay again! Thanks for being attentive to my emails upon arrival regarding a few minor issues.

Woodhaven is a great place for a larger group of 10 or so. It is a cosy place with a great kitchen and big dining table. We loved the many games and DVD's there for kids old and young.
We were pleasantly surprised that ski-in and ski-out were so easy. We gave cleanliness a medium grade for the dust in the corners/top of the fridge, etc, but overall there was no issue. The outdoor light by the hot tub area was also burned out. The BBQ was very clean which was very nice.View Full Review

Everything was as described in the ad and our families enjoyed our stay. The owners had a number of videos toys and games available to keep our young ones occupied during our stay and both owners gave us a call shortly after our stay started to make sure we had everything we needed. All considered I would recommend this rental property to friends. The only reason to not give full stars was due to there being no paper towel and not enough dishwasher soap.View Full Review

We had a wonderful stay at your home. Relaxing and spacious. It was exactly how you described, easy access to ski in and ski out. We appreciated all of the supplies and how well the kitchen was stocked with utensils,pots etc. The garage was an added bonus to hang up all of our gear after a day out on the slopes. If I could add a couple of negatives things that were not too serious- it could use a good clean, very dusty, cobwebs, juice splatter on kitchen wall etc. (minor details and I know it is a busy time for people coming and going with quick turn arounds) Also the dryer takes a long time for one load of towels. The kids were not crazy about the feel of a jean duvet cover, or micro fibre , but I would say that might just be preference and we took them off while we were there. " This house is one of the best on the mountain. The layout is perfect for big groups or small families. There is a tremendous sense of light and space, but also privacy from every angle. We were in a Kamloops for a family wedding, five families rented houses all over Sun Peaks, and this is the one that wowed them. We hosted big dinner parties, a family brunch for 20, and slept 4 couples comfortably, each with a private bedroom, including a lovely private bedroom/bathroom in the basement. The house is easy to maintain, solid rock, wood, and glass, comfy, has lots of closet space and is well supplied. We'd come back in a heartbeat for ski season! Making arrangements to rent Woodhaven 44 were efficient and professional. The condo was very clean. Bedrooms were all a good size and comfortable -- a real plus for our family reunion (4 couples). Kitchen was well-stocked. Large deck, plus private hot tub were great for relaxing and visiting outside. Extremely pleased with our experience.

Nice place with all necessary amenities. Ski out a bit tough with young children, but doable as ends up on Morrisey side requiring walk through tunnel and parking lot to get to main lifts. Ski in is great.

The pictures on the Internet don't even justify how nice this place is. We all enjoyed out stay at Woodhaven 44. Everything we needed was there. We loved the private hot tub. The fire place give you a cozy feeling. I don't have a single complaint and would definitely recommend Woodhaven 44 and will definitely be back!
Great spot for multiple families with children

Great setup for more than one family - downstairs area works well as sleeping area for one family, upstairs for the other. Lots of space. Also nice to have the two TV/play areas. Well equipped kitchen, toys, games, Dvds, etc. Quality furnishings, kitchen gear, etc. Heated floors were very nice! Ski-in Ski-out tough for little ones - lots of cat tracks. Easier to drive 5 minutes to the main village - parking is easy at Sun Peaks. Most everything was in good working order, clean, and kitchen had some basics beyond utensils and appliances - spice rack, coffee filters, trash bags, dish soap. Would definitely stay here again next time we go to Sun Peaks.

14 years ago we first went to sun peaks and our children learned to ski. Now they are graduating from school, and we go up with all their friends! -And still on the drive home, they class this is as their most favorite holiday and wish they could stay longer, and are already making plans to go back next year. We have never been disapointed. We have stayed in many different rentals at sun peaks, so far we have to say that Woodhaven is the best location - private yet still close to everything we want, and can accomodate the largest group without having to pay extra for a house.

Our rental unit was very nice - spacious and clean,. However, since you ask, we do have a few suggestions! Aside from laundry and dishwashing detergent, there were no cleaning supplies. We bought toilet cleaner in town which I think should have been provided. I would suggest leaving window cleaner and a cleaner of some sort for the bathroom and kitchen surfaces. One of the beds upstairs was described as a "king" which could be made into two singles. There was no king-sized bedding, so it didn't even look like a king! If there had been a king-sized memory foam topper, king-sized mattress pad, and king-sized sheets, then that could pass as a king-sized bed! The duvet comforter on the king-sized bed should be replaced. A snow shovel should also be provided for shovelling off the deck so that we could have easy access to the barbeque. Lastly, the rule about not leaving garbage is not really reasonable! We took all of our garbage and recycling to the dump the day before we left, but by the next morning we had an additional bag of garbage to dispose of (there were ten of us, after all!). Because our flight was very early, we had to leave before the dump was open at 10 am. So, we took our bag of garbage all the way to Kamloops and gave it to a friend to dispose of. Guests be allowed to leave one bag of garbage in the garage or arrange for the dump to open earlier! The chalet had 2 burnt out light bulbs, one outside over the deck (inconvenient when you need to barbque, and one in the lower stairwell. There were no extra bulbs anywhere - a few extra would be nice. I want to reiterate that we had a great time and we loved the unit! You are doing a great job managing it - please accept these suggestions as a way to make it even more spectacular! Liz

Staying at Sunpeaks was very enjoyable. The chalet was excellent,clean and worked great for the 8 of us. The only drawback was the cost of playing additional golf after we finished our first round. There should be some break for the return customers

Dealing with Don Fehst was easy! He was extremely efficient and made our trip to Sun Peaks a breeze. The 4 bedroomed house we rented was in excellent order,spacious and very well equipped, and the location was perfect - ski in ski out for those skiing, and a 10 minute leisurely walk into the village for those who were'nt. Sun Peaks was everything we had hoped. Not too big as a resort, but with enough amenities, restaurants and bars, and ultimately - excellent skiing, good runs, good lift system and no real lift queues and we visited at Christmas! Would definately reccomend.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home. The beds were heavenly comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, the dining and living rooms are roomy and beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub and foozeball table, too. The garage was and heated floor tiles were really lovely. We very much appreciated being able to check in a little early as we had elderly grandparents.
