Welcome to The Aspens on Blackcomb. This one bedroom is a wonderful choice for guests who enjoy a fabulous ski in/ski out location combined with a hotel environment, at great prices! This is also a wonderful choice for guests with small families or young children. The convenient location combined with full amenities means there is something for everyone.

The Aspens offers:

  • real ski in ski out: this is on the slope just above the Wizard Chair (high speed quad) on Blackcomb Mtn. Link to Whistler Mtn by taking Peak2Peak gondola.
  • 2 minute walk to Upper Village, 5 min walk over the Covered Bridge into main Village
  • ski down to full Whistler Blackcomb Guest Relations at Blackcomb Base, including ski school, lift tickets, all rentals
  • rental shop on lobby level in The Aspens for skiing and mountain biking: regular and high performance gear
  • ski down to Blackcomb Kids for ski school
  • 3 hot tubs and outdoor heated pool.
  • ski valet: the ski valet retrieves your skis in the morning from the ski locker, and returns them at night

Unit at the Aspens

Kerry provides very detailed instructions with step by step information. Everything we needed was available (extra towels and bedding for our group of 4).

The bed was comfortably firm and the air conditioning and fan helped us sleep well. The fireplace gives off heat even though it is "off". We liked the location and the space was comfortable for our needs. The desk staff was helpful and friendly. Outdoor staff could be seen repairing the security code box on the gate. It would be helpful if the Aspens had a vending machine on site for cold drinks.

One suggestion would be to wipe the patio table just before guests arrive. I enjoyed sitting on the deck reading and listening to the birds sing. Expect to hear noise from the pool guests and make time to enjoy the pool and hot tubs. We felt a bit rushed for a 10am departure because all the luggage carts were in use, thus we left a few things behind in the fridge and I forgot to leave a tip for Kerry. (sorry) Having 2 TV's was good for us in the evening. Guests were quiet in the evenings and only minimal noise could be heard above us. One suggestion might be to have a Britta water jug in the fridge. It's a favorite of our family.

The #5 shuttle from the Lower Village bus loop drops off near the Aspens, so that helps if you have trouble walking uphill. The Upper Village is only a 4 minute walk down the dirt path on the hill. Parking at the Aspens was an average price of $17/day.

We appreciate that Kerry replied to email and texts in a timely manner. We enjoyed the weather, our stay, and Whistler in general. We would be glad to stay in unit 3** again.

The apartment was well equipped and adequate for our requirements. The ski out ski in position was brilliant. Great position above the Blackcomb gondola. We would reccommend this place to friends and anybody interested in staying very close to the slopes. The owner was only a phone call or email away. Her response for queries was very prompt.

Secure Ski and Bike Storage Skis stored and retrieved by ski valet. Bikes can be securely stored with bike valet for cost of $7/day. For less expensive bikes, there is a bike lock up cage.

The Aspens combines a full choice of amenities with a superb location.

In the winter, The Aspens offers:

  • ski in ski out on Blackcomb Mountain
  • Blackcomb Base in the Upper Village is located just down the hill from The Aspens. Ski or walk down to lift tickets, ski rentals, Blackcomb Kids, shops and restaurants.
  • To ski Whistler Mtn take the Wizard Chair up Blackcomb Mtn, then take the Peak2Peak Gondola to Whistler.

In the summer, The Aspens is a five minute walk into the Village to catch the Whislter gondola for alpine hiking. Walk to Lost Lake and swim in a fresh mountain pond, or walk along the Valley Trail. Short ride down to the bike park.

Restaurants and shops are located in the Upper Village, which is a short stroll down the hill. Continue along from the Upper Village, go over Fitzsimmons Creek and you are in the Village.

For conference attendees, the Telus Whistler Conference Centre is under a 10 minute walk, and the Fairmont Chateau Whistler is just down the hill in the Upper Village.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Cancellations Made by Guests All deposits of 25% are non-refundable. All refunds are made by personal cheque. For reservations Nov 1- Apr 30: The deposit is non-refundable. If the balance is paid, the total amount is non refundable except if reservation is replaced. Refund equals value of reservation with which the cancelled booking is replaced minus 4% cancellation fee. May 1- Oct 31: If the balance is paid, refund of 50% minus 4% cancellation fee with minimum notice of cancellation 7 days prior to arrival date.
Delayed Arrivals There is no refund if your arrival is delayed at the last minute.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Emailed when balance paid.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Ineligible Guests Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments Guest is notified when payment is late.

The Owner and their booking Contact also agree to not use Guest personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Guests. Guests agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of the Owner or their booking Contact without prior written consent from the Owner and/or Contact, except under force of law or for law enforcement purposes. Reservation Changes You may lengthen your stay at no charge. Shortening your stay is considered a partial cancellation and subject to cancellation policy above. To change dates, but total nights remain the same: before balance paid, no charge. After balance paid: Winter: fee is $100 Summer: no charge.

Guest Stay Policies

Amenity Terms of Use Guests are responsible for damage occuring during stay to amenities and common property as a result of guest actions. Guest reservation indicates guests are agreeable to the additional charge of damage to amenities and common property occurring as a result of guest actions.
Bike Storage Lock up provided in non-secured underground garage.
Check-In Time 4 pm. Please request early check-in in advance.
Check-Out Time 10 am. Please request late check out in advance.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs If cleaning required is more than the normal 2 hours, excess costs will be charged to the guest. Including but not limited to any cleaning needed by restoration services, a plumber, stains, odor, smoking in the unit, or cooking. Any extra cleaning costs to restore the apartment to the same condition as it was upon check in.
Excessive Noise Will not be tolerated out of courtesy to neighbours. If excessive noise is reported, after one warning the guest will be asked to leave without reimbursement.
Forgotten Items by Guest There is a $20 charge for returning forgotten items to guests. Guests are responsible for all mailing costs for forgotten items.
Housekeeping Complimentary. For reservations of 8 nights or more, full linen change and bathroom cleaned about every fifth day during your stay. The kitchen is to be maintained by the guest.
Liability We are excluded from liability for personal bodily injury in our home, while in transit to, or while on resort property.
Maintenance Emergencies 24 hour phone support.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 4.
Property Damage Guests assume all financial responsibility for any property damage incurred by you or your guests. While no damage deposit is requested, you are financially responsible for any damage incurred by you or your guests during your stay.
Rental Accommodation Zoning Legally zoned for nightly rental.
Ski & Snowboard Gear Storage Ski valet removes and returns ski gear. Stored overnight in secure lock up.
Terms of Eviction Excessive noise, property damage, or smoking will result in eviction. No refund will be provided if you are evicted for breach of policies.
