The kitchen is well stocked with full appliances, dishes, pots, and utensils. Full dinnerware and many glasses.

Living Area

An open plan, with a warm lounging sofa, books, games, and private decks on each side of the property. Comfortable, inviting and a true mountain feeling with windows onlooking a forest. Dining table easily hosts six. Two additional counter stools round out the dining experience.

The table seats six. The forest view adds warmth to the meal. There are two stools at the counter also, and some of the nicest meals can be shared there.

Private mountain resort townhome, tastefully decorated and ideally located at the base of Blackcomb Mountain. Two private decks, just steps from the village and slopes, in a peaceful forest setting. An air jet Jacuzzi to enjoy at the end of the day! Two bathrooms, both with heated floors.

The Gables is a very inviting complex, surrounded by forest and a mountain creek, with large spaces between the buildings and located on the valley trail. Yet you can walk from this location easily to the lifts, the shops and the restaurants. There is no uphill walk on your way home! The close proximity to the valley trail gives quick access to a pleasant walking or biking experience in the summer or a quick walk to the ski lifts in winter. Our full time, on-site caretaker keeps The Gables immaculate.

The Gables is located at the red burst in the map below. Ideally located, right between the Blackcomb and Whistler base, on Fitzsimmons Creek. Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Cancellations Made by Guests All payments are non-refundable. Partial refunds are provided if a booking is obtained to replace yours. All cancellation refunds are subject to a 4% cancellation fee. Refunds are based on the rate and number of nights of the booking replacing yours.
Courtesy Hold Reservations Reservations are not held without payment. Please confirm your reservation by clicking Reserve Now. Our site takes live reservations 24hrs/day/7 days/week, therefore, we operate on a first come/first serve basis.
Delayed Arrivals We cannot provide refunds for late arrivals.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Emailed to you after final payment. Print this info as soon as you receive it and put it in your carry on baggage. It is easy to forget it in the flurry of packing to leave!
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Ineligible Guests Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments Reservations are automatically cancelled without a refund when payment deadlines are missed. You can rebook without penalty if your dates are still available.

Reservation Changes Please contact us if you need to lengthen or shorten your reservation, and we will do what we can to accommodate. Changes are not guaranteed, and refunds will be treated in accordance with our cancellation policy. If you would like to shorten your reservation, please note that your deposit calculated on the original amount is non-refundable and the minimum stay policy applies. If you have already paid the balance, then your balance is similarly non-refundable. If you have not paid the balance,then it will be re-adjusted to reflect your shortened reservation provided the minimum stay policy is met.

Guest Stay Policies

Check-In Time 4 PM. A check-in any earlier than this time must be requested at least one week in advance of your stay and can only be permitted if it does not impact the cleaners' schedule.
Check-Out Time 10 AM. The cleaning service arrives soon after. If you would like a late check out time, please contact us before the first day of your stay. Otherwise, our cleaning service schedule is disrupted, and it greatly impacts our next guests. Where necessary, late checkout fees are applied.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs When booking online, you authorize a credit card charge for excessive cleaning costs.
Excessive Noise Your comfort as our guest is protected by The Gables Strata council by-laws with regard to noise. A copy of our noise by-laws is in our unit. Please take a look.
Garbage Removal Guests are responsible for removing garbage to the bins in the parking lot.
Housekeeping Provided before arrival and after departure. Please just ask if you would like to purchase additional housekeeping. Our housekeeping service will do their best to add it in their schedule.
Internet Availability & Usage Illegal downloads forbidden. Should we receive notification that such activity has occurred, the Guest responsible will be immediately evicted and charged for damages.
Liability We are not responsible for any bodily harm to guests or guests of guests while they are on our property or at any location in Whistler Resort. Guests hold Owners harmless for any personal or property damage or theft of personal items while in the property, at The Gables or on any Whistler property
Locking Door Guests are required to securely lock all doors and entrances when they are not in the unit or upon departure.
Maintenance Emergencies Emergency contact information is provided with instructions to booked guests after final payment.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 6 people overnight. Excess occupants will result in eviction with no refund.
Missing Items You have authorized a credit card charge when you book online for any items missing from the condo when you depart.
Noise Restrictions Excessive noise is not permitted after 10 pm. Occupants may be evicted subsequent to noise complaints and will be charged for damages resulting from the noise complaints.
Parking & Ticketing Parking information is provided in your check-in and arrival instructions email. You are responsible for reviewing this information and adhering to the parking policy of the complex. We are not liable for any parking tickets or towing fees you may incur.

My biggest money saving tips Visit in November, early December, January, and May to September. The valley is as beautiful as ever, with not quite so many visitors, lots of things to do and it costs LESS!

Our favourite season in Whistler and why. OK, we are addicted. We love them all: Winter for the skiing and boarding, Spring for the spring snow and biking in the valley. Summer for nature"s beauty - the valley and mountains are majestic. Fall for the last grasp of that beauty, golfing, biking, hiking, go for walks, just enjoy The Gables patio, or the dinners with friends.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is best about your location?

Are you as close to the lifts as some ski-in ski-outs? The walking distance from Gables to the Blackcomb lifts is about 3 minutes. To the ski run down to the Whistler lifts, it is about 4 minutes.
Is The Gables more quiet than the village accomodation? Yes, it is more secluded, separate from the village yet right next to it. There are no other complexes right beside us, and there are big spaces between our buildings compared to those in the village.
Are you close to restaurants? The nearest restaurants are only about a 3 minute walk. All the restaurants in the Blackcomb Benchlands and in Whistler Village are an easy walk from The Gables, and you don't have to walk uphill to get home after dinner like you do on most of the Benchlands.

What are the Check In and Check Out times? Check In is 4 PM or later. Check Out is 10 AM or earlier.
Can I check in earlier? If there is a guest staying the night before you arrive, it is usually difficult to allow for early check in. If no one immediately precedes you, we can sometimes provide early check in. Please feel free to ask. We must confirm with our housekeeping services before we can provide early check in.

Should we rent a car?

We are flying into Vancouver we need to rent a car? You will not need a car once you arrive at The Gables, as it is an easy walk to almost everything. For info on transportation from the Vancouver airport to Whistler, go to the Allura homepage, click Guest Services.
We like the drive from Vancouver to Whistler. Would it be as good on a bus? There are several ways to get to rental, limo, private 4x4 service, minivans that can be reserved, in some cases shared with others arriving at the same time as you. How to Compare Prices

How does The Gables location compare to the ski-in ski-out condos on the upper benchlands? All are perfect for access to the lifts. The Gables has an added advantage of being closer to the village and the Chateau Whistler so you can walk right there in two or three minutes, and you don't have to walk home uphill after dinner.

How to Save Money

What is the best deal for lunch? Pack a lunch to take up the mountain with you. There are plastic containers and bags in our kitchen, as well as a backpack in the front closet for you to take up the mountain. The next best deal is Chick Pea Restaurant on Whistler Mountain. Get there 11:30 or 11:45 to get a table.
How can we save money on a ski trip? Plan your trip for late November, early December, January or April. Share the condo with another family, provided your total numbers are 6 or less. Use our well equipped kitchen or our barbeque. The grocery stores have extensive pre-packaged dinners to choose from, to save your cooking time. In Peak Ski times, purchase discount lift tickets from Allura. For other times of the year, buy an Express card from the lift company.

Is there a hot tub?

Our guests love the hot tubs and spa at Meadow Park, the best place in the valley for soothing water! Meadow Park is a first class facility, about 5 minutes from The Gables by car or taxi. It has a six-lane pool plus hot tubs, sauna, a steam room, a whirlpool and a separate young children's wading pool. It is a beautiful complex, spacious and open with big windows to the outdoors. There is also an indoor skating rink, squash courts and a fitness centre in the building.

The location was fantastic between both mountains, really easy to walk to slopes, village etc. Condo was nice, super clean, really well maintained and beds really comfortable. Owners had a huge welcome basket for us, very nice touch. Lots of treats, goodies and a bottle of wine. Thank you! Heather the owner was readily available to answer all questions via phone and emails and we received very good check in and out instructions, free parking was a nice bonus. Nice big TV with gobs of stations, we were glad as we were able to record the NFL playoff games while we enjoyed the slopes, then watch on our return! Super solid Whistler Condo rental!

The online photos don't do this wonderful 2 BR condo justice. A very clean, updated space in a GREAT wooded location. Everything was perfect for our family of 4. We'd go again tomorrow. Easy, beautiful walk to Whistler base AND Blackcomb base. Both 100 yards. Quiet, peaceful setting, yet right next to village restaurants, shops, apres ski, nightlife. Best of both worlds.

Owner was super nice, and checked in a few times with us to make sure all was going well. Free underground parking was great and very convenient. Just a heads up that there is no hot tub at the facility. Not a deal breaker for us, but worth noting.

Great location for summer or winter in Whistler. Quiet in the woods and comfy beds made for nice sleeping conditions.

Beautiful Condo

Very well equipped and comfortable condo for 2 grandparents, 2 adults and 2 young children. Central location and close to EVERYTHING. Owner called the first day to see if we needed anything. Would definitely stay again.
