We would love to give you help in planning your vacation in Whistler, whether it be a summer time holiday or a winter getaway. We spend alot of time in Whistler and are very active, so if you want to know where to eat, hike, bike, cross-country ski, what ever, just email and we will try our best to help you out. If you are planning a stay in Vancouver as part of your holiday, we can also give you the scoop there since that is where we live. We love to travel and meet new people and we always appreciate people helping us out when we are away from home. It's nice to reciprocate the hospitality.

Cancellations Made by Guests Deposit payment of 25% is non-refundable. Remainder will be refunded if we can replace your booking. Refund rate is based on the re-booking rate and number of nights rebooked.
Delayed Arrivals No refunds. We are not responsible for circumstances which result in delayed arrivals.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information 30 days prior to arrival. Later for last minute bookings. Access code sent 2 weeks before.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Guest Stay Contract Required to confirm reservation.

Reservation Changes If availability permits and in accordance with our cancellation policy. You may lengthen your reservation if availability permits. Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Noise
Housekeeping Professionally cleaned prior to arrival and upon departure. Complimentary housekeeping mid-stay for guests staying 8 nights or more.
Liability We are excluded from liability for personal bodily injury in our home, while in transit to/from or while on resort property.
Maintenance Emergencies 24 hour emergency number posted in unit.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity Six(6).
Property Damage Any damage will be charged to your credit card.
Rental Accommodation Zoning
Terms of Eviction By 24 hour security company or RCMP will be summoned. Loud noise, damage to private and/or public property, disturbing the peace.

About Us

We are a family of three who are absolutely passionate about Whistler in all four seasons. We love to travel, and when we do we inevitably choose accomodation other than conventional hotels. Hence, we understand why people choose places such as ours here at Whistler for their vacations. We also consider "Home Exchanges", so if you or friends have a vacation home or a personal residence that you would consider exchanging, please feel free to ask us about it. We have  homes in Vancouver and Mexico that we could include as part of an exchange if that suited you better. We have done this before and have made the most marvelous friends as a result. We are particularly fond of Europe, Australia, southern States, Hawaii, Caribbean & Mexico, but we are always open to new ideas.

Fantastic. Whistler is a beautiful mountain and Backcomb is the best part of the resort. The condo was clean and comfortable for two couples - plenty of towels, paper goods, lots of space. Location is perfect - easy ski-in and short walk out to the Wizard chair - the fastest way up the mountain. Owners were great and very thoughtful with many little details to make our stay easy and comfortable.

I'd been at this property a previous time with a group on a ski trip, and thought of it again when we were heading out for a summer vacation. Very easy to get to, and the property is just a short walk down (and a short hike back up) from the base of the chairlifts. Everyone got their own beds, and having a well appointed kitchen made for easy meal preparations before a day of sightseeing. Would definitely consider again if I'm back in the area. Thanks! - m.

5 of us stayed over a week here in July/Aug 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Nelson's condo is exceptionally clean & provided all the amenities we needed. We will definitely stay here again & would recommend to others. We're mountain bikers, so having the large front entry area to store 5 bikes was critical. It's an end unit, so was very quiet & many big windows provided nice views of trees & surrounding landscaping.

Things we really liked - spaciousness, well equipped, really nice outdoor grill, private hot tub, great TV(s). Unit was well maintained (for the most part - see below for exceptions), location (ski-in but not very late in season; not ski out, but easy short walk to the slopes)

Things that would benefit from improvement - mattress in master BR is overdue for replacement - it slopes toward the middle (even for lightweight folks) and sleep would be vastly improved with a replacement; the shower/tub in the lower bath did not drain well at all - we tried to reach the owners ( no reply) - we did reach the property manager who said it was not their issue - so ended up having only 1 effectively working shower.

I would not hesitate to stay there again if: the mattress is replaced, the drain is repaired and there is a more effective system in getting maintenance issues addressed

Clean, spacious and comfortable.

The place was large and comfortable with lots of space for the 6 of us and our gear. The living room with the large television and comfy couches and the large coffee table was a nice place to spend our down time playing games and watching a bit of tv. It was nice that the sofabed was in an alcove area beside the living room rather than right in the living room. The comfort of the sofabed was just ok. The kitchen is dated but well equipped, and the bbq worked well.

Location is great, and while we had to walk just a few minutes to the ski slope, we were able to ski in, almost to the front door. Carroll was very responsive to our questions and was gracious about giving us extra time to check out. Great stay overall.

Spacious unit with great location!

We spent 5 days here for my husbands birthday in Jan 2015. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, birthday card and a big tin of cookies! Our family of 4 had plenty of room to spread out. The master bathroom was spacious enough to put our 7 month olds crib in without making the whole bathroom unusable during the day. The hot tub on the deck was nice and hot and such a treat at the end of the day. The picture quality on the tvs is excellent and we loved having a DVR to record shows and most importantly, the Seahawks game!

The ski home trail was really easy and short and it only takes about a minute to walk out the trail in the morning to start your day. Probably the most convenient ski in and out location we have ever stayed at. There is a stop for the free shuttle bus right across the street from the complex entrance and is a quick ride down to the village.

The kitchen is well provisioned with equipment, and we had everything we needed for cooking meals. Somehow we managed to lock the oven into a cleaning cycle and never figured out how to get it open, so we were without oven for the last 2 days of our stay. The washer and dryer, although noisy, work fine. We couldn't figure out a way to turn off the dryer alert buzzer, which would have been nice for drying clothes after the kids went to bed. Some of these major appliances seem older and could use an update, but the unit is very comfortable overall and well maintained. The carport was nice for keeping the snow off the car and there seemed to be plenty of guest parking available. For us, having a nice big 55 inch tv and the hot tub were big plusses, and we will be back this summer.

A note on owner responsiveness - we had an old access code for entry when we arrived and had to call the owners to get a new one. I left 2 messages and they called me back within about 20 minutes. It was a bit of a rough start to our trip as we had 2 young kids in the car who really wanted to get out after our 5 hour drive. We had received a "check in package" email sent by alluradirect 45 days ahead of our arrival and it seems the code was changed after that email. Hopefully the kinks are now ironed out of this system. I think I will confirm the code directly with the owner a few days ahead for future stays.
