Ground Floor: The large entrance hall has ample storage for skis, snowboards, boots, shoes and coats. At the end of the entrance hall there is a powder room and a laundry room. The left wing of the downstairs contains the kitchen, dining area, living room with fireplace, and a fenced patio with a BBQ. The right wing contains the master suite and its bathroom. Upstairs: Three bedrooms: a large one with twin beds, another with a queen bed, and a third bedroom with bunk beds. These share a bathroom. The third and fourth bedrooms share access to the balcony. The home is a corner unit, with panoramic views from the upstairs bedrooms to the North, including Wedge Mountain; a view south to Whistler Peak from the living/dining area, and a view east from the master bedroom to Blackcomb. The home's basement parking spot is reached by a stairway outside and just behind the master suite. The assigned slot is #47. Vehicle/luggage loading and unloading is easy from the circular driveway, though do not park there as it is a firelane.

|What I like the most about Blackcomb||Blackcomb Glacier -- an immense valley that is a spiritually transcendant experience to ski. There is nothing else like it this side of the Alps. OK for intermediates, not good for novices|
|Worst run and lift||Wizard Chair and Solar Coaster Express - two feeder lifts that most people use all day. Seventh Heaven also becomes a Zoo and is, apart from the view of Whistler, substantially overrated|

|What makes Whistler so special and unique?||We have been to a number of ski resorts throughout Europe and North America. A two-week vacation in Whistler ten years ago convinced us that we had found skiing heaven, so we bought our home here and never looked back. The terrain is vast and each mountain has its own flavor. We have been travelling to Whistler for ten years now; it keeps getting better and better. We always find something new - last year it was snowshoeing, this year was Joffre Lakes (stunning!). We look forward to coming in the summer to go biking. My wife Pilar and I live in Fort Lauderdale with our two wonderful children, Cyrene 16, and Eric, 14. We have lived or skied in France, Switzerland, Morocco, and a good part of the U.S; Whistler is by far the best there is.
Had a great time at this condo with my family. It was a great amount of room and layout for 3 couples and 4 kids. It was very clean, and there were plenty of towels and linens for everyone. The furniture and beds were comfortable and WiFi worked well.
The kitchen was not as well equipped as others we have stayed at, though it was fine for basic cooking. The hot tub area is very close to the condo and was clean.
Location is perfect- we have stayed in this area of Whistler several times before and like it. Very close to the IGA complex, but quiet once you're in the townhouse development.
The owners were very helpful and easy to deal with. Highly recommended!
We found the unit in need of maintenance. The front door was marked and needed to be repaired and painted. The walls in the unit where damaged and chipped, need to be repaired and painted. The window ledges needed to be painted (peeling) and in some cases replaced completely. The vertical blinds were stained, missing the bottom weights or broken. One of the single beds was so soft you couldn't even sleep in it. The upgrades in the bathrooms and kitchen were nice, but the owner needs to do some yearly maintenance on this place.
The WIFI info provided in the check'in email package gave the incorrect Network and password, it hadn't been updated, but our local contact in Whistler was able to help us with the info and was very prompt to return our call.
The house was clean and spacious. We had a little hiccup at our arrival. My group arrived at around 1:30 and the house wasn't made up yet which is understandable (Check-in is at 4pm). So I called the property manager to see if I could leave some food in the fridge for our BBQ that evening, they didn't know we were arriving that day and did not have anyone planned to clean the house. She told us the house would be ready later then usual, which was fine, we left and came back around 5:30. The kitchen is well equipped. The BBQ could use a bit of a fix or upgrade, someone might have tampered with the switch as it was hard to get the BBQ going. We were a group of 6 and there was plenty of room for us in the living/dining room. The bedrooms are spacious though the bed mattresses were stiff! 3 full bathrooms to use with lots of towels. Location wise, the condo is right across from IGA/liquor store/and lots more. A short walk to the village. I would def stay here again in the winter.
Although the booking and check in was seamless, we did not have a good experience staying in this property. It is smaller, older than what is advertised and extremely run down. It obviously has been used by many people whom simply do not respect the property if it is not their own.The major flaw is the lack of upkeep. We were greeted with a broken beer bottle at the outside entrance door. All had mold in the grout on the bottom and up the sides and the dishwasher didn't clean the dishes. The furniture in the 'living room' needs to be replaced as the couch cushions no longer have any "cushion"!. crumbs were abundant in between the cushions on both the couch and chair. This isn't something we check for but when you sit on those pieces of furniture and happen to look down, it is obvious. All this along with uncomfortable beds on the upper level, a clogged toilet, dented fridge, broken kitchen chair and light bulbs that needed replacing we really did not enjoy the accommodation. Thankfully the skiing rocked!!
Stayed at this home in March of 2014. It is an older unit that has had some renovations, mainly to the kitchen and bathrooms. It is showing its age but is still very comfortable and spacious. We booked this unit using alluradirect.com and found the price to be very affordable compared to other comparable units. This unit is located in the Valhalla complex. Parking is very easy with an assigned stall and many guest stalls. Common area hot tub was not very hot. More like a warm tub. The Valhalla complex is close to the village. But it is a little far from the lifts. If you were walking to lifts in ski boots you would be better off catching one of the free shuttles. There is a shuttle stop fairly close to the complex. Other than that, the walk to the market is very short. You are right at the bottom of the village so shopping is easing. Best thing about the unit is the price. For the size of the unit and the amount of people that it sleeps it was a very affordable place to stay at one of the best ski resorts in North america.
Well furnished, comfortable home. Three bathrooms made it easy to accommodate not only those who stayed in this unit but also capable of having guests from our larger group visit comfortably. The fireplace is a nice touch to stay warm on a winter night. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and flatware to make meal prep very easy! We even had one small maintenance issue that was handled professionally an very quickly without a second guess. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would be happy to rent here again!

This was the 5th year in a row my group has chosen to stay at this Whistler condo. The location is convenient and it has reliably been clean and well supplied. This unit says it sleeps 8 to 10 people however the living room sofa bed is virtually impossible to sleep on. This sofa bed appeared to be a replacement from the previous year's however it was clearly second hand and well used. The owners have generally responded to previous input and I hope they do for this one as we would love to continue with our annual stay at Whistler!
We had 7 guys here for a long golf weekend. The place was a bit small for that many, would be perfect for 4. Lower level, right next to hot tub complex. Clean and well equipped. Small balcony with space for 4 or so. Nice master bedroom, good showers. Good overall value and easy walk to village. McDonalds in the am was nice for a quick bfast and coffee.
We loved the apartment and the location was excellent. We could walk to everything, so just parked the cars. The open plan made it good for 8 people, the dining area alone was better suited for 6. We enjoyed the barbeque on the deck and made good use of the hot tub. The user name and password for the internet have changed but can be found on the back of the router in the master suite. The local contact, Dominique, was very helpful with that. I would definitely return and recommend it to others.
Everything was perfect, the place was gorgeous. It was very close to everything, about a 10 minute walk to the main village which was awesome. It was comfortable for everyone as well. I would recommend to anyone, and we will be back :)
We decided to have a family vacation in Whistler. Having everyone together in the same unit was an important goal and it worked out wonderfully. my mom is mobility impaired and we wanted a good location. The location here was exceptional. This is a very good and cute place to stay. I got my money's worth. Pretty much everything was provided. You could bake a cake with the ingredients in the house! All cutlery, plates and even plastics were provided.Location was perfect. Grocery store and village across the street. It was a quiet and comfortable area. Outside Hot tub was amazing. Only thing I would be careful is the heat. Make sure its not too high at night, or the rooms get stuff. This was in our control but we didn't know and so at night, it got really hot! the second, we learned :). It sleeps for 10 and just wished one of the rooms was another queen but that was a small issue.
We had a wonderful vacation in your beautiful home. There was plenty of room for our friends and families. Such a great space to hang out and relax. A great location, just a very short walk to the village which was very important to us. We hope to stay there again soon, we wish this was our home! Thank you Manfred and Pilar.
This was my 5th time in whistler and I have to say these accommodations were my favorite by far. The house was clean, comfy, up to date in appearance, in a great location, and had everything we needed plus more. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a hassle free place to stay for a more than an affordable price. We walked everywhere we went which was a huge bonus. We had more than enough room for our family and friends and it was great to not have to fight over bathrooms. I was also more than impressed with the quick response I got from the owners when we emailed them questions. We enjoyed ever minute of our stay and would stay there again in a heartbeat. A ladies weekend with some girlfriends brought us to Whistler and we loved this place! It very comfortably slept the 9 of us and had lots of space to relax & enjoy both indoors and outdoors. Our only suggestions would be to add screens to the windows/sliding doors or maybe some fans because it was quite hot that weekend and with all the windows open we were dealing with bugs in the evening. Also the pillows left something to be desired. However, overall we all had a great time and would definitely return here on our next ladies weekend. The location couldn't be beat!
We rented this vacation home for a ski trip with friends and found it to be a wonderful choice! The location was a short and pleasant walk to the main village. The property has been beautifully updated has an ideal layout for a group gathering. We enjoyed the living room and cozy fireplace, and found it to be very quiet at night, which was a welcome bonus. The owners were delightful and communicative, and took great care to make sure our needs were met.
Overall the property was great. Easy to find, check in was simple. Very close to the market, and walking distance to the lifts. Easy access to the bus stop. Parking was good. Quiet neighbors. Cons: Hot tub was a public one, we thought it was a personal one. The hot water kept running out, remember to stagger your shower times, unless of course you enjoy ice cold showers. The place sleeps ten, but I wouldn't recommend counting the sofa bed, its very uncomfortable. If you do need the extra sleeping space, I suggest bringing an air mattress to lay ontop of the sofa bed. A few light bulbs were burnt out and didn't work. Other than that, overall a nice place to stay.
Manfred and Pilar Schweitzer's place in whistler rates five stars in my books. The home was roomy, clean, comfortable, nicely renovated and well equipped. There were eight people in our group and it was very comfortable given the fact there were four bedrooms, three bathrooms and large living areas. It was awesome. The home was located on the North end of Whistler Village, accross the street from the grocery store (which was extremely handy) and a very short five minute walk to the centre of the village. We were plesantly surprised at how short the distance / walk was! Parking was easy and abundant for extra vehicles. The hot tub was shared, but amazing and located right outside of the home. It was surprisingly quiet, especially given the number of units surrounding the home. This rental property was really well priced and I doubt anyone will find a better deal for the amount you get from this place. The only recommendation I have is to book directly with the owners rather than the third party website I booked on (can't remember the name of the site). It wasn't a bad experience, but I just found the owners to be much more organized, that's all. I have stayed in dozens of places in Whistler and this was simply the best for so many reasons.
The home was cozy, layout was excellent, and we couldn't believe how many beds there were. We really liked how the sleeping area was away from the main kitchen/dining/living room. Having a full kitchen was definitely an upside as we stayed in to cook the entire weekend. There was a dishwasher, utensils, plates, etc. Only downside was there weren't really enough tumblers and we couldn't fire up the bbq (probably our own fault) Less than 10 minute walk to the village. We were a group of 8 girls and we all agree that we would definitely rent here again!
This was our third year to return to Manfred and Pilar's vacation property for our girlfriend's getaway. We enjoy the great location and the casual, comfy nature of this condo.
When we arrived there were sheets hanging from the doors, laundry in the dryer and a door off the hinges. After talking with the handy man, left a message with the cleaner and a discussion with Manfred who promissed to reduce the cost yet to be arrived at! The cleaner arrived later that evening to fix things up I guess there was a miss- communication between the cleaner and Manfred. Will think carefully next time.
Great location, great condo couldn't of been better. Beautiful renovations to the bathrooms and kitchen.
We were frustrated on how and where to catch the bus in the morning to ride to the lifts. We finally walked in our ski boots all the way there and back. So giving directions on where, when, and how to catch the bus back and forth would be great. The kitchen was a disappointment with the level of quality of the pots/pans and utensils. I would recommend higher quality and more utensils. We also recommend not advertising the unit for 10 people but for 8 adults since more then that it would have been very cramped. When we Bbq'd our meat we found empty beer cans and an empty rack package hidden out of sight so the cleaners need to do a better job of searching the unit for garbage. Parking was great. We had to request more paper towels, garbage bags and toliet paper since we ran out. When we requested more they delivered it right away so that was good but left it in the entry way. We felt it should have been stocked in advance knowing that 8-10 adults would be in the unit. I thought the unit was larger then the photos indicated but we made it work. Hope this helps you. The coffee pot also need to be higher end. The first morning it ran all over the place. I thought is was of poor quality and in Whistler there are so many places to choose from you can ensure that your guests have the best that you can provide is very important. I was looking for a place that met my needs that I could return to every year without having to do hours of research every year. Sadly your unit didn't meet my expectations.
