Welcome to Our Sun Peaks Home.  This home is in the newest development at Sun Peaks.  The builder, Dansk, is known for their outstanding designs and quality of workmanship.  We are pleased to offer our home to you for your ski vacation!

 Our newer unit has ski in access from Sundance and ski out access to the Mt. Morrisey lift. Only minutes from the main village where restaurants and shops are located. Our unit has fully equipped kitchen to make your stay enjoyable. The dining room features 2 storey high windows and seating for 8 at the table and 3 at the nearby breakfast bar. The living room is spacious with a gas fireplace to warm you up.  The living room features a 42" Plasma TV and DVD player.  There's also a wireless router available for use with your lap top.  The family room, on the lower level, has a 32" LCD TV and DVD player.  The 6 person hot tub is located on the patio just outside the family room.  Relax those tired muscles after a full day of skiing. 

There are four bedrooms with sleeping for 10.  The lower level room has a single over double bed.  This room is great for teens who like to stay up late and sleep in.  The remaining three bedrooms are on the second floor.  The master suite has a queen size bed and 32" LCD TV and DVD player.  There is also a room with a queen bed and a single over queen unit in the last bedroom.  All rooms have good sized closets and dressers for storing all your ski clothing.

We have board games, cards, books and movies for you to enjoy.

A full sized washer and dryer are in the lower level laundry room.  We provide detergent and dryer sheets.

The garage is heated and secure.  We have equipped the garage with ski racks, coat racks and shelving for you to use for your ski storage.

Property Description

This property is great for one or two families. It has four bedrooms with sleeping for ten. The master bedroom includes an ensuite and a patio. The upstairs also has a family bath. The main living area has a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room with gas fireplace and a dining room. There is a large patio with gas grill just off the dining room. The lower level has a family room, the fourth bedroom and full bath. Great for privacy! There is also a full sized washer & dryer for your use. The hot tub is a great place to relieve those aches and pains!

The kitchen has stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher. We have tried to think of everything you will need to have a enjoyable stay. A welcome basket with a couple packets of coffee, some tea, creamers and sugar is left out for your use. The supplies, in the cupboards, of sugar, salt, pepper, tin foil and plastic wrap are for your use. Enjoy your stay whether you eat in or out!

Living Area

The living room is located on the main level. There is a leather sectional sofa with seating for six. A chair and ottoman round out the seating arrangements for this room. The gas fireplace is the focal point of the room. A 42" Plasma TV with DVD player are located above the fireplace for your viewing pleasure. A wireless router is available for use with your laptop computer.

Dining Area

The dining room is on the main level. It has a cathedral ceiling and floor to ceiling windows. The table seats eight with three additional seats available at the adjacent breakfast bar. There is a large private patio outside the dining room. A Napoleon gas grill is located on this deck for year round use.

Special Features

This unit is an end unit with an extra large deck off the dining room.  The patio is equipped with a gas grill.  The six person hot tub sits on the patio below the deck.  The living room is spacious and offers a great place to curl up and relax.  Our home has 3 TV's ( 2 32" LCD and a 42" Plasma) with DVD players for your viewing pleasure.  There are four spacious bedrooms with comfortable sleeping for ten...no roll aways or pull out sofas here!

The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and all the small appliances you will need to make your stay enjoyable. The living room has a leather sectional for your comfort. There are three queen sized beds, two singles and a double in the four bedrooms. A six person hot tub is the ultimate in pampering! An outdoor gas grill is available for year round use. The unit has a wireless internet connection...you provide the laptop and the connection is on us! There is a 42" plasma TV in the living room, 32" LCD in the family room and a 32" LCD in the master bedroom. All TV's are equiped with DVD players for your use. There are two micro stereo systems to play your favourite tunes. We have a wide variety of games, DVD's and cards to entertain you and the kids. There are custom built ski racks, cubby holes and a bench in the heated garage for your ski storage...the garage is locked so your skis will be safe.

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Guest is responsible for paying excessive cleaning costs stemming from extraordinary cleaning above the standard typical guest stay. Cleaning associated with defacing the property or above the standard fees is considered property damage
Excessive Noise This is a family oriented resort. You may be evicted for excessive noise by police and/or security staff. Normal conversation and laughing pitch is permitted. Screaming, swearing, yelling, etc. is not No refunds issued for evictions.
Garbage Removal Garbage is picked up at the end of your stay. Garbage should be secured in the bins kept in the garage. Some recycling is done please separate items as outlined in the unit instructions.
Housekeeping Complimentary before arrival and after departure and every 4 nights for stays of 8 nights or more. Light housekeeping every 4 days for stay longer than 1 week. This includes a towel change, light wipe of kitchen and bathrooms, carpets vacuumed, garbage removed, linens changed, and toilet paper restocked.
Internet Availability & Usage Wireless internet is availabe. Bring your own laptop.
Liability Guest releases property owners from liability for theft or injury to guest or guests of guests while in transit to the property, on the property or on resort lands.
Locking Door Coded Access please lock the door each time you leave. Property loss or damage resulting from failure to lock the door will be a guest expense.

Missing Items Guests will assume costs of replacing items that are missing upon the guest's departure.
Noise Restrictions Disturbing neighbouring residents is prohibited. Fines will be levied on the spot to guests who are disturbing the peace. Guests may also be evicted from the premise by the strata security company. Guests are also responsible for fines levied against the owner as a result of noise by law infringements by the guest. Normal conversation pitch is accepted. Continued screaming, yelling and/or swearing is not. The owner will not refund evicted guests
Parking & Ticketing There is parking in the garage and driveway. Additional spots are available in the complex guest spots but these are limited especially in winter when snow banks take up considerable room.
Property Damage Property damage of common or private property includes: physical damage, excessive cleaning, defacing property, excessive noise, littering, lude public behavior, missing items/theft. Guest agrees to pay up to $500 for all private or common property damage caused by the guest themselves, or a member of their party. Guests may also be evicted. Refunds will not be issued in the event of eviction.

Don't Forget

Fill up your gas tank before you arrive as there is no gas station in Sun Peaks. If you plan on eating in you should consider doing your groceries in Kamloops. There are lots of large grocery stores in Kamloops offering a large variety of foods. The shops at Sun Peaks are small with less choice and higher prices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Getting here

What airport should we come into? The closest airport is Kamloops. It is located approximately 45mins from Sun Peaks. Alternatively you could fly to Kelowna which is 2.5hrs away. Both airports offer shuttle services (book ahead) and car rentals. The roads are well maintained and cleared from either airport to Sun Peaks. Both airports offer service to Toronto, Seattle and Vancouver. Kelowna offers more direct flight choices than Kamloops.


Where should we shop for groceries? It is best to shop for groceries in Kamloops. If you are renting a car this is your best option. If you are not renting a car there are services that will shop for you and deliver the groceries right to your unit. Also Sun Peaks does have small grocery stores in the Village.


Is there a ski school? Yes, Sun Peaks ski resort has various programs including a preschool program which includes a daycare component. Sun Peaks is very family oriented with varying levels of slopes including a platter area that is perfect for those just learning to ski.
Are there any other activities available for children? The resort also has tubing runs that kids love! There is also ice skating, toboganning and swimming at the Sports Centre.


Are there restaurants close by? Yes. The village is about a 10 minute walk or 5 minute drive. Once there you will find plenty of different restaurants to meet your tastes. An information binder has been placed in the unit to assist you with making choices and reserving places for dinner.

About Us

We travelled to Sun Peaks in December 2006. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our ski experience and decided that we would consider purchasing a unit in the resort. Our search ended in April 2007 with the purchase of #26 Woodhaven. As excited new home owners we flew out for the close and began the process of furnishing and decorating the unit. We have taken a great deal of time in considering what would make our unit comfortable and enjoyable for guests and ourselves. Rob and the girls: Sarah 14 and Emma 12 love to ski. Sherrie is less of a skier but enjoys relaxing in the hot tub and cooking in the well equipped kitchen. If you chose to rent this unit we are sure you will have a wonderful and memorable holiday. Great spring break get away! We had 7 kids and 3 adults in our group and it accommodated us quite nicely. The rooms were clean and had extra pillows and blankets, beds were comfortable. The hot tub was great after a day of skiing. the kids got the most use out of it! The only drawback , it was a bit of a far to walk to the village especially if you have kids but was a quick drive and had no problem getting parking.

I would recommend and would stay here again!

This dining room and living room area in this unit was a little small for the seven adults and two young children in our party. The Kitchen is well equipped with good quality cutlery. However the crockery is chipped and needs replacing. A big disappointment was the quality of the linen. Despite a reference in the guest book about hot tub towels there were none in the unit. Only ten sets of towels were supplied and the bath towels were small. When towels were used for drying off after a dip in the hot tub they were wet and smelled of chlorine. Consequently they needed to be washed daily.

The unit was great, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. We loved the access across the driveway to the trail that led all the way to the village. All of our guests were very comfortable!

We stayed here in mid February with a group of 10 friends. We had an amazing time. This place has everything you would want or need in a rental property and then some. Slept 10 of us comfortably. We had an amazing weekend would definately rent again and stay here again.

We recently stayed at the townhouse with 2 other couples and our adult daughters for 4 days. The directions to find the place were clear and we had no problems getting in. Everything was clean and well equipped. The unit is very comfortable and with 8 adults did not seem crowded and we all had privacy. We enjoyed the hot tub and BBQ. It is fairly easy ski out to Mt. Morrisey chair but you do have to be careful not to miss the East Village trail when you want to go home. It was quite a trek the first day as we ended up back at the Mt. Morrisey chair and had to hike & walk a distance. When we took the correct trail the next day it was almost to the door! We enjoyed fresh powder and no crowds - just skied onto the lifts. After the crowds of Whistler it was wonderful. We would definitely book here again. Any questions we had were answered promptly and Sherrie was very friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at this property. Three generations of family stayed with plenty of room for all. Kitchen was very well equipped. It was nice to soak in the hot tub after a day of golf, hiking and tennis. Will definitely return!
