Decent place for the right price

This rental is priced accurately. It is an older accommodation. There are a few updates that could make this place really good- the blinds in the second bedroom need to be replaced (one side appeared to have been ripped down) so we had to improvise to keep the room dark for our children as the rising sun shines right into the bedrooms. Also- the balcony furniture is sorely lacking, There were two very dusty camping chairs in the corner on the balcony. We would have like to sit out and enjoy a drink with a decent patio set. The rest of the place is good enough, which I think is reflected in the price of the rental.

The pool and hot tub is great and a short walk from the condo. The location is great, less then a five minute walk to the village stroll. But take note of the highway noise- it was an issue only in the living room (especially during the day) but again, this issue is reflected in the price of the rental. I think if the bedroom blinds and patio furniture could be improved, this would be a great place for the price offered.

Picture of property is deceiving and outdated. Furniture is not what is shown in picture and is outdated. One of the recliners is broken. I noticed a prior review of this property had the same issue some time ago so negative reviews don't seem to make an impact. Carpets are pretty dirty, kitchen pots/pans/utensils are old, one of the fry pans is very warped and difficult to cook with. The biggest issue is the Hwy 99 road noise. Property is at the back of the complex and next to Hwy 99. If you spend any amount of time in the room, it becomes annoying and it doesn't quiet down later in eve. I'm pretty laid back - it's just a room so i typically don't get too uptight, but this place wears on you quickly. Upstairs TV has 3 remotes, none of them work and no directions, and I'm pretty good with electronics. Positives - property is close to IGA for grocery shopping,pool/hot tub are nice, and shuttle pickup location to the ski lifts is just across the street. You get what you pay for - this property is cheaper than some in area - there's a reason. I've been coming to Whistler for over 20 years, this is top 5 worst properties I've stayed at. Owners need to put some money into this property. I get it - it's a rental and things get worn out quicker. But you've squeezed just about as much juice as you can out of this existing lemon. I won't be back to Northstar. I'm guessing this property isn't reflective of Northstar in general, but if this is the 'bar' set for the complex, you need to adjust that line.

This condo had everything we needed. Clean and spacious. Great location right near the marketplace and shuttle stop. We arrived earlier than expected and Marcel let us check in an hour earlier. Super helpful and responsive!

Reservation Changes If availability permits, and in accordance with our cancellation policy. You may lengthen your reservation if availibility permits. If you would like to shorten your booking however, note that your deposit calculated on the original amount is non-refundable; if you have already paid the balance, then your balance is similarly non-refundable. If you have not paid the balance, it will be re-adjusted to reflect the shortened reservation.

Check-Out Time 10 am. You will be charged $35 if our cleaners arrive and you are still in the suite.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Will be passed on to you. When applicable, we will discuss additional charges directly with you by phone, afterwhich you can use this online payment system to make the appropriate payment (damage, cleaning and garbage removal cost).
Excessive Noise By 24 hr security company. Will be evicted for excessive noise, common and private property damage, disturbing the peace
Garbage Removal Instructions for garbage bag removal will be provided. Excessive garbage in the suite that results in additional costs will be forwarded to you
Housekeeping Depend on the number of nights you stay with us. I will inform you specific dates the suite will be thoroughly cleaned.
Liability We are expressly excluded from liability for personal bodily injury in our home, whilst in transit to, or while on resort property.
Maintenance Emergencies 24-hour cell. Complete emergency information will be provided.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 6 people overnight. Strictly enforced.
Missing Items Guests authorize a credit card charge for missing items as per my stated damage deposit policies.
Noise Restrictions Eviction for excessive noise.
Property Damage Guest authorizes up to a $500 CAD charge on their card upon departure in the event of property damage. Damage includes, but is not restricted to: noise complaints, common or private property damage, excessive cleaning charges, lost or broken or missing common or private property items,smoking inside the property, pets inside the property and all charges relating to security company or police involvement regarding property occupant's behavior while in the property or on common premises.
