We had a great stay at the Ptarmigan condo. Everything was in order when we arrived. Most of our time was spent on the slopes and in the village but when we were relaxing at the condo there was plenty of room and amenities. Dale's recommendations and notes really helped out for a group of first timers to the area. Thanks for having us and I would highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed an excellent experience with this property right from the initial rental transaction through to the completion of our vacation. The condo is extremely clean, organized and very well appointed - great value. It is in close proximity to everything that Whistler has to offer. The owners provided us with a complete package including personal recommendations for activities, restaurants, etc. that proved invaluable during our stay. They also followed up with us during our stay to ensure that all was in order - very much appreciated. I would highly recommend this property and its owners to anyone wishing to have an enjoyable, worry-free Whistler vacation.

Our policies are firm and clear. We will ALWAYS do our best to accommodate all reasonable requests. Please contact us if you have any concerns. However, our intent is to cater to ALL responsible and reasonable adults (and families) who will demonstrate exceptional respect and care for our vacation home and property. Anything less will not be tolerated. These policies are strictly enforced. Failure to meet them prior to your arrival or during your stay may result in either cancellation or eviction. Please note that the property only sleeps seven well. If there are more than 7 overnight occupants without our written/verbal consent - you will be evicted and not allowed to use the property again.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Arrival Days Guests can arrive on any day of the week. There are no arrival day restrictions
Cancellations Made by Guests Subject to 45 days notice - less a 10% cancellation fee or $150 - whichever is less. Note: All cancellations paid by credit card are subject to a non-refundable 4% credit card processing fee. If the condo can be re-booked to replace the cancellation - a partial refund may be available.
Courtesy Hold Reservations For maximum fairness for all, we operate on a first come first serve basis and do not. Normally, the first group to book the property by clicking RESERVE NOW gets the dates in question. In certain circumstances, courtesy holds may be extended for 1-2 days.
Delayed Arrivals No refunds. We are not responsible for arrival delays.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Driving Directions, Parking/Arrival Instructions & combination lock box access to condo keys will be sent by e-mail at least 2-4 weeks prior to your arrival. Please advise if you require alternate arrangements
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Ineligible Guests Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments May result in cancellation of the reservation. Please provide full payment as required on time. Late payments will result in cancellation of booking without refund.
Privacy The Owner, their booking Contact and this web sites technical administrators agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of their Guests without prior written consent from the Guests, except under force of law, or for law enforcement purposes relating to policy and property violation. Property Sale Our property is NOT for sale but in the event it was - all bookings will be preserved in the event of a property sale. If the booking is not preserved by the new Owners, the new Owners will be contractually bound to move your booking at their expense.
Reservation Changes Subject to availability. Reservations may be changed in compliance with our cancellation policy. You may lengthen your reservation if availability permits. If you would like to shorten your reservation, please note that your deposit calculated on the orignial amount is non-refundable; if you have already paid the balance, then your balance is similarly non-refundable. If you have not paid the balance,then it will be re-adjusted to reflect your shortened reservation

Guest Stay Policies

Check-In Time 4 PM. Or earlier upon advance notice if workable. Check in advance for possible early arrival.
Check-Out Time 10 AM SHARP. Late check-outs that impede housekeeping from cleaning unit may be faced with additional charge of CAN$50 or more. Or later upon advance notice if workable. Check in advance for possible late departure.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Guest is responsible for paying excessive cleaning costs stemming from extraordinary cleaning above the standard typical Guest stay. Cleaning associated with defacing the property, or above the standard fees is considered property damage.
Excessive Noise Not permitted - subject to Strata Council by-laws. This is a family-oriented, quiet development. Noise complaints may result in eviction by local police or security personnel. Normal conversation and laughing pitch is permitted. Screaming, swearing, yelling, etc are not.
Garbage Removal YES - Please take garbage/recycling out to downstairs waste bins regularly & especially upon your departure.
Housekeeping Complimentary before arrival and after departure). Complimentary mid-stay cleans provided for bookings of 8 or more nights only....unless prior arrangements are made. Additional cleaning may be scheduled at the guest's request and expense.
Liability We are not responsible for any bodily harm to guests or guests of guests while they are on our property or at any location in Whistler - Blackcomb Resort. Guest releases property owners from liability for theft or injury while in transit to the property, in the property,or on resort lands.
Locking Door Guests are to ensure condo door is completely shut & locked upon each exit & final departure from condo.

Maximum Sleeping Capacity SEVEN overnight sleeping guests (including babies, children and friends of guests) MAXIMUM - Additional guests will cause the eviction of the entire group. STRICTLY ENFORCED. Additional persons will result in immediate eviction. Owner also reserves the right to reverse the reservation within 24 hours of booking.
Missing Items Guests will assume costs of replacing items that are missing upon the Guest departure.
Noise Restrictions GREYHAWK Condo Complex - Quiet time between 11PM - 8 AM. Disturbing neighboring residents is prohibited. Fines will be levied on the spot to Guests who are disturbing the peace. Guests may be evicted. Guests are also responsible for fines levied agains the Owner as result of noise bylaw infringements by the Guest. Normal conversation pitch is accepted. Continued screaming, yelling and/or swearing is not. The Owner will not refund evicted Guests.
Policy Updates Guests are accountable to the policies posted on my web site at the time of booking the property and are not subject to policies that were amended or added after their booking was made.
Property Damage All damages or missing contents incurred by our guests (and friends) will be the financial reponsibility of our guests. Damage includes, but is not restricted to: noise complaints, common or private property damage, excessive cleaning charges, lost or broken or missing common or private property items,smoking inside the property, pets inside the property and all charges relating to security company or police involvement regarding property occupant's behavior while in the property or on common premises.
Rental Accommodation Zoning Our Whistler Condo is zoned for both short term & long term rental accommodation.
Terms of Eviction Failure to fully comply with condo policies, strata/house rules & by-laws. Any unreasonable behavior that is disrespectful of property and/or neighbors will not be tolerated.

Guarantees Policies

Reservation Guarantee If our property is damaged & we cannot fulfill your reservation, you will be given the option to either cancel your reservation with a 100% refund, or be moved to a comparable property. Owners will assume additional accommodation-related relocation costs up to $1000 CAD. If a comparable property is not available, the booking will be cancelled with a full refund.
Snow Guarantee For each day that greater than 70% of the lifts are closed at BOTH Whistler & Blackcomb due to extraordinary weather conditions, the Owner will refund 50% of 1 corresponding night. Even though we obviously cannot control the weather - To add some additional level of comfort to our guests. Valid January 3 - March 31. Guest must notify Owner on the qualifying day so that lift status can be verified.

Under a beautiful 'Whistler style' chandelier - a large pine double pedestal table comfortably seats six (and expands with two extra leaves) to seat ten. Hardwood chairs are comfortable yet very sturdy. Two stools are also provided for the kitchen eating island.

About Us

We have provided rental accommodations (short term and long term) at our private Whistler condo for over 15 years. The condo has been completely renovated with the addition of many high end features and amenities - most of the work carefully completed by the owners themselves.

We pride ourselves in hosting guests year-round; either on vacation or business..... [by providing truly affordable - yet luxurious accommodations] that make our guests' stay as enjoyable and inexpensive as possible. We ALWAYS want our guests to have a wonderful AND affordable experience - with great memories of Whistler. In fact, many of our guests love our condo so much - that they often return year after year..... or whenever they can.


Dale has been very active and involved with the administration of the Whistler GreyHawk condominium complex. He has been the GreyHawk STRATA Council Chair person for six years. Connie is his spouse of 25 years and they have three very active children: Nicola (23), Samantha (20) and Matthew (18). Our family is very active and often engaged with family activities which includes coaching & playing team sports like soccer, lacrosse and field hockey. Additionally, the family also loves to ski, ride, bike, hike, swim, fish, canoe, boat, sail, windsurf, explore and enjoy the Whistler environment ~ whenever possible ~ year round.


Dale & Connie and family live in Coquitlam, British Columbia. Dale operates his own wood products consulting business (Marketing, Sales, Product Development, Business Planning) and Connie works as a physiotherapist in a private clinic.
