Welcome to Settler's Eight, our 2 bedroom ski in/ski out vacation condo in Sun Peaks mountain resort

Sun Peaks is known to be the best family resort in Western Canada, with plenty of activities for everyone and never long line-ups! We invite you and your family to experience all Sun Peaks has to offer by staying in our comfortable mountain home, where adventure awaits at your doorstep! 

Our unit offers:

  • Ski-in and ski-out
  • Convenient location, close to all village centre activities and amenities 
  • Very private and peaceful setting facing evergreen trees and the golf course
  • Great sliding and tobogganing next to the unit, with 2 sliders available for your use
  • Relax in the private hot tub for 4-6 people
  • Gas fireplace in the living area 
  • Sleeps 5 comfortably; master has queen bed, other bedroom a bunk bed (lower bed queen, top twin), and pull-out sofa bed (double) in living room 
  • Dining table seats 6, and there are 3 bar stools at the kitchen counter 
  • Well appointed kitchen with coffee maker, toaster, kettle, slow cooker, rice cooker, French press, fondue set, dishes, cutlery, cooking utencils and all major appliances

Our professional cleaning service provider is following all the provincial Covid-19 guidelines and recommendations set by BC Centre for Disease Control, BC Ministry of Health and WorkSafe BC. Please understand this does not guarantee a Covid free environment.

Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols are in place for high touch surfaces, as well as laundry and linen handling and waste removal. 

A 24-hour waiting period in between guests is in place to allow for the enhanced cleaning and sanitizing.

Definitely a different stay with new COVID rules (As if you are staying anywhere right now) but the condo was super clean and the hot tub very private. We loved all the big windows overlooking the trees. We had an issue with an appliance but the owners were super quick to respond and accommodate us. Definitely would recommend to others.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Arrival Days Check-in and arrival instructions will be emailed upon balance payment.
Cancellations Made by Guests All payments are non-refundable. Refunds will be issued for re-booked dates at the re-booked price and are subject to a 4% cancellation fee. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights or vacation-related products.
Cancellations Made by Owners We reserve the right to cancel your booking due to a late payment or if you violate any of our published policies. All payments are non-refundable.
Delayed Arrivals No refunds. We are not responsible for circumstances which result in delayed arrivals. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights or vacation-related products.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Check-in and arrival instructions will be emailed upon balance payment.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Guest Identification Documents We and our in-resort contacts reserve the right to ask all Guests for identification (one with photo) before or during their stay, to confirm their eligibility to book and stay in our property.
Ineligible Guests Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments Failure to pay by the due dates will result in automatic cancellation without a deposit refund. Guests can re-book dates if they are still available; deposit will not be re-charged.
Privacy The Owner, their booking Contact and this web sites technical administrators agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of their Guests without prior written consent from the Guests, except under force of law, or for law enforcement purposes relating to policy and property violation. The Owner and their booking Contact also agree to not use Guest personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Guests. Guests agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of the Owner or their booking Contact without prior written consent from the Owner and/or Contact, except under force of law or for law enforcement purposes. Reservation Changes Please contact us if you need to lengthen or shorten your reservation, and we will do what we can to accommodate. Changes are not guaranteed, and refunds may be treated in accordance with our cancellation policy.
Reservation Transfers & Re-sale by Guests Not allowed.
Website Service Fee Website Service Fees are non-refundable, with the exception to reservations made before March 15, 2020. If there is an officially mandated COVID travel restriction being imposed by the countries where the property and/or guest is located, website service fees may be usable as a credit. To claim this credit review, the restriction must be in place up to 14 days prior to your rental arrival date. All refunds will be processed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and any currency exchange difference will not be covered. Please contact info@alluradirect.com between 1-14 days before your cancelled arrival date to have reviewed. Flight cancellations alone will not be approved, a copy of the official Government issued restriction will be required.

Guest Stay Policies

Amenity Terms of Use Please respect all private and common amenities of the property. Damage or excessive cleaning to any amenity will be charged to the Guest responsible.

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
COVID Contact Tracing Requirements The property owner must be able to produce a list of guests who have occupied their rentals for contact tracing protocols in the event of an outbreak. The guest must provide names of whop will be occupying the rental property during their rental agreement.
COVID Maximum Guest Limitation The number of people is limited to the capacity of the space, plus a maximum of five visitors at any given time. Large gatherings will be removed from the premises and no refund will be provided.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Any excessive cleaning costs will be charged back to the guest responsible for the booking.
Excessive Noise Quiet hours in the building are 11pm to 7am. Please be respectful of all neighbours, especially when using the hot tub. Any fines levied for excessive noise will be charged back to the guest responsible for the booking.
Garbage Removal Each guest is responsible for removal of any garbage that is over the allowable limit. Further instructions provided with arrival instructions.
Hot Tub Please be careful when removing the hot tub cover, and please lock it up after use. HOT TUB QUIET HOURS ARE 11pm to 7am, please respect all neighbours!
Housekeeping Provided before arrival and after departure. We expect our guests to look after our home as their own and leave the property in good condition.
Internet Availability & Usage Illegal downloads forbidden. Should we receive notification that such activity has occurred, the Guest responsible will be immediately evicted and charged for damages.
Liability Guests assume all liability while staying in the property
Locking Door Guests are required to securely lock all doors and entrances when they are not in the unit or upon departure.
Maintenance Emergencies Emergency contacts provided upon balance payment.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity Unit sleeps 5-7 guests. Max number of guests is 7, this is strictly enforced.
Noise Restrictions No noise after 11pm. You can be fined by security if your party and your guests disrupt other guests.
Parking & Ticketing Parking information will be provided in your check-in and arrival instructions email. We are not liable for any parking tickets or towing fees you may incur.
Policy Updates Policies are subject to change without notice.
Property Damage Any damage to the property resulting in extra costs will be charged back to the guest responsible for the booking.
Rental Accommodation Zoning We are zoned for nightly rentals.
Resort Information Provided in check-in and arrival instructions email, upon balance payment.
Ski & Snowboard Gear Storage Please contact us. Damage or excessive cleaning to the property due to your equipment will result in extra charges to your credit card.
Terms of Eviction Note that guests will be evicted for excessive noise, common or private property damage or threat of damage, disturbing the peace, excess of maximum sleeping capacity, or violation of any of our policies. You will not receive a refund!

Basic staples such as sugar, salt, an assortment of spices, oil and vinegar, as well as paper napkins are all available for your use. 

Kitchen is well equipped with quality pots and pans, dishes and glassware (also plastic ones for youngest guests), cutlery and utensils, bakeware and serving dishes. Aluminum foil and plastic wrap, paper napkins, pot holders and trivets also available.

About Us

We are the new owners of this fabulous vacation unit and use the property ourselves as well. We are getting to know the great Sun Peaks community and are exploring all the fun things there are to do. For us, this is a year round vacation spot, with plenty to do in every season! 

Elsa is a cross country skier, starting skiing at a young age in her native Finland. She is now eager to get familiar with downhill skiing as well, and to explore the trails and runs on Sun Peak. Mike is more familiar with downhill skiing, but enjoys cross country as well, as long the hills aren't too steep! We also enjoy hiking, running, kayaking and fishing, anything to do in the great outdoors of our beautiful BC.
