AT LAKE PLACID LODGE

This renovated 1 bedroom condo is steps away from the Creekside Gondola and Marketplace. Relax in the heated outdoor pool and hot tub while soaking up the spectacular views of Whistler Mountain.

Lake Placid Lodge is a very popular year-round complex due to its quiet, yet convenient location. Situated in Creekside it is close to Nita Lake Lodge as well as the Whistler Valley Trail. Great for walking or cycling. It is a short 5 minute drive into Whistler village or less than 15 minutes on the frequent municpal bus service. There is plenty of hiking and biking in this area, and near by Alta Lake is a 20 minute walk, providing swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing and kayaking.

Nita Lake Lodge is a five minute walk and is a great place to have lunch on their outdoor patio over looking the lake, sit on the dock and soak your feet in the glacier fed water.  Nita Lake park has free tennis courts.

Great stay, but housekeeping needs help

We had a wonderful time as always, however there were a few housekeeping issues that were noticeable. There was only one roll of toilet paper (no backup under bathroom sink) so we had to purchase more. There were multiple salt and pepper shakers some were empty, no pepper to be found, so we we had to purchase more. There was very little dishwasher soap available, only enough for one load, so we loaded when we left but did not turn on. Several water glasses in the cabinet did not appear to have been washed at all. The floor in the kitchen was swept but had some sort of stains that we had to mop up. The outdoor thermometer on the living room window clearly does not work at all. I think the housekeepers are not paying attention to backup supplies, cleanliness or kitchen supplies.

This was unusual, as we have stayed here before and did not have any of these issues. Must of been a fast turnover for the housekeeping crew.

I have stayed in lake placid lodge many times. This room was the best appointed and supplied room. The appliances were good quality with plenty of utensils, cooing equipment and supplies such as spices. The espresso machine was a bonus. There was a bit of street noise as this unit is on the outside but the positives mentioned above outweigh this.

The hot tub and pool at lake placid are very nice. Thanks for a great stay Annette!

Very lovely condo close to Creekside gondola

We enjoyed our five night winter stay. Condo is wellstocked, clean, and comfortable. Bed is a firm memory foam which my husband and I both slept well on. We liked using the espresso machine and the dining table is large enough for four people. There were only two of us so we didn't use the sofa bed in the living room but it looked comfortable.

The condo has a nice secure, heated ski storage area at the entrance to the building. Bring your own ski lock if you want additional security. Coin operated laundry in the basement. The condo is across the street from the Creekside gondola which made it super easy to get onto the mountain. The grocery store is also accross the street. The condo was stocked with spices, sugar, salt, and a few other odds and ends that previous tenants had probably left behind.

We would definitely stay here again. Two problems: one, the unit was not vacuumed very well before we arrived and there was no vacuum or broom I could use to clean up with. Annette offered to have housekeeping come, but they didn't show up the first day, and by the second day we were all moved in so I figured it wasn't worth the trouble so I cancelled it. Two: the hot tub was not working the first two nights of our stay and the maintenance people of the condo complex did not post any information as to what was going on but they eventually got it working. Some people in the complex told me this had happened before. So if the hot tub is super important to you, inquire to make sure it is working before you book.
