The townhouse has an open concept living area, with the living room, dining room and kitchen in the same space. Here is the sunken living room with a cosy fire. The living room has a 40 inch flat screen TV with HD signal. The pull out couch with double mattress and down comforter is in the living room. There is a double closet for storage on the higher level.
As you enter from the foyer into this one bedroom home, this is the room that greets you. Relax in the dining room, looking over the sunken living room. There is seating for four comfortably.
The kitchen is on the same level as the dining room. This kitchen is an efficient, fully functional cooking zone. It features full size appliances and is stocked with basics. For those who cook to relax and connect, look no further. A great place for apres drinks and snacks, or cook the whole dinner. This kitchen has a new stove, fridge and dishwasher.
The Valley Trail right behind The Gables. This trail follows Fitzsimmons Creek along the back side of The Gables and connects to the Village and the Upper Village.
This is Fitzsimmons Creek, just behind The Gables. Look above the bridge and you see the Excalibur Gondola, which goes from Whistler Village up Blackcomb Mountain. Just behind the gondola are the lower slopes of Whistler Mountain. But wait till you see the alpine!
This area is behind The Gables. On the right is the Covered Bridge, one of the landmarks of the parks in Whistler. You can take this 5 minute walk into the Village.
This is a sitting area beside Fitzsimmons Creek and the Covered Bridge. This is a lovely, warm, relaxing spot on a sunny day in spring, summer or fall, and even on a sunny warm winter day.

- To reduce contact the minimum stay will be 7 nights for most dates. This ensures there is not a rapid turnover of people in the unit.
- In order to reduce physical contact, there will be no midstay cleans regardless of how long the reservation is for. Rates reflect the reduced service level.
- There will be a minimum of 30 hours between reservations.
- Early check ins and late check outs may be limited in order to ensure adequate time between reservations and allow for safe entry into the unit of housekeeping staff.
- Cancellation Policy: I give a full refund in the event of government ordered shut downs.

We had a wonderful stay here. The Gables is ideally located between Blackcomb and Whistler and this property had all the comforts and cleanliness for a nice stay. I particularly liked that Kerry provided and allowed the use of coffee, salt and pepper, laundry detergent etc. This meant that we didn't have to purchase industrial quantities of these things that we were simply never going to use. The condo was spotless when we arrived. A problem with the parking pass was quickly resolved with a phone call to the owner. It is spacious by Whistler standards and has a nice layout. The decor is original and therefore a bit dated but the unit was fully equipped and the linens and towels were fresh. We liked the wood-burning fireplace. There were no noise issues which can be a problem in some parts of the village. Being on the ground level and close to the loading stall made it easy to move in. The location is a short walk to both the Blackcomb Base and the Village lifts. I recommend this place and would stay her again.View Full Review
Great Location To Whistler Village

My wife, son and I stayed at The Gables from 16th to 23rd December 2018. First off, Kerry Wallace was a wonderful host. Communication was prompt and responsive and the info on how to get to Gables from Vancouver, checking in etc was comprehensive. We had an early check-in as well which was great.
The apartment was well furnished and the kitchen well equipped. It had everything, utensils, wine glasses etc. The apartment was well cleaned and tidy when we checked in. Very cosy! What I liked was that there was also a washing machine and dryer included which makes it very convenient for extended stays.
The apartment was situated on the ground floor so moving heavy luggage around was easy. The pull out sofa bed was surprisingly comfy too although a bit springy. As this unit is situated deeper inside the grounds, we didn't get any road noise whatsoever. What I liked best about the Gables is the location. Its reasonable walking distance (approx 500-600m) to Whistler Village (to the gondolas etc) and even closer to Blackcomb. Moving around with skis is not too difficult.
The rates are also reasonable given that the hotels at the Village can go as high as a $1,000 plus per night (eg Pan Pacific) for a standard type room during the peak period, if you don't book early enough. For families that ski, my view is that a self-contained apartment with more space is always a better option than a hotel room. Hotel rooms (eg Hilton Whistler) do not have a washing machine/dryer in the room...you have to leave your room to use common ones. That being said, Pan Pacific and Hilton are within the Village itself.
Some transport companies like Skylynx offer a door to door service to Gables from Vancouver Airport, downtown etc...so you can literally be dropped off at your front door. Makes getting to and from Whistler a breeze. Its a nice little apartment for a couple or couple with one or two kids.

The Gables is the perfect location! Situated between the Village and Upper Village, it is 5 minutes from all skiing, the bike park, restaurants and shops.
In the winter it is a 5 minute walk to up or download all lifts on both mountains, and to all lessons, rentals and guest services, the Tube Park and night skiing.
In the summer, it is a short ride to the Bike Park.
The grocery and liquor store are a short walk into the Village.
The Gables are situated beside Fitzsimmons Creek and Park. It is quiet and private, yet convenient to everything. You can park the car and walk!
In the summer, The Gables is right on the Valley Trail, which takes you into the Village, as well as connecting onto an extensive trail system throughout Whistler. The gondola for sightseeing and the bike park are 5 minutes away. Two golf courses are within walking distance. The skateboard park is on the other side of the creek. Swimming at Lost Lake is a 15 minute walk along the Valley Trail, so there is no need to jockey for parking.
For conference goers, the Telus Whistler Conference Centre is a 5 minute walk into the Village, or the Fairmont Chateau Whistler is a 5 minute walk to the Upper Village.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies
|Cancellations Made by Guests||All deposits of 25% are non-refundable. All refunds are made by personal cheque. For reservations Nov 1- Apr 30: The deposit is non-refundable. If the balance is paid, the total amount is non refundable except if reservation is replaced. Refund equals value of reservation with which the cancelled booking is replaced minus 4% cancellation fee. May 1- Oct 31: If the balance is paid, refund of 50% minus 4% cancellation fee with minimum notice of cancellation 7 days prior to arrival date.|

If there is an officially mandated COVID travel restriction being imposed by the countries where the property and/or guest is located, website service fees may be usable as a credit. Guest Stay Policies
|Bike Storage||Bike storage is provided in secure underground parking garage. Bikes may be stored inside the townhouse in the foyer.|

|Complaints Concerning Property||Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.|
|COVID Contact Tracing Requirements||The property owner must be able to produce a list of guests who have occupied their rentals for contact tracing protocols in the event of an outbreak. The guest must provide names of whop will be occupying the rental property during their rental agreement.|
|COVID Maximum Guest Limitation||The number of people is limited to the capacity of the space, plus a maximum of five visitors at any given time. Large gatherings will be removed from the premises and no refund will be provided.|
|Excessive Cleaning Costs||If cleaning required is more than the normal 2 hours, excess costs will be charged to the guest. Includes but is not limited to any cleaning needed by restoration services, a plumber, stains, odor, smoking in the unit, or cooking. Includes any extra cleaning costs to restore the townhouse to the same condition as it was upon check in.|
|Excessive Noise||Will not be tolerated out of courtesy to neighbours. If excessive noise is reported, after one warning the guest will be asked to leave without reimbursement.|
|Forgotten Items by Guest||There is a $20 charge for returning forgotten items to guests. Guests are responsible for all mailing costs for forgotten items.|
|Housekeeping||Complimentary. For reservations of 8 nights or more, full linen change and bathroom cleaned about every fifth day during your stay. The kitchen is to be maintained by the guest.|
|Liability||We are excluded from liability for personal bodily injury in our home, while in transit to, or while on resort property.|

The townhouse is a large one bedroom on the ground floor and is on one level. You enter into the foyer, which is a separate room for storing skis, gear and outerwear, as well as wet gear. The kitchen, dining and living room are open concept. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped whether you just eat breakfast there or cook up a storm. The sunken living room is down 2 steps, with a wood burning fireplace, and one wall of windows. You step out onto a 10 x 12 patio. The dining area is a large and separate area and seats 4 very comfortably with a large table. The bedroom has a queen bed and picture window. A 4 piece bath with jetted (jacuzzi) tub completes the townhouse.
