This large one bedroom townhouse in The Gables is in one of the most sought after locations in Whistler. It is a 5 minute walk to ALL lifts for BOTH Whistler & Blackcomb Mountains, & to the Village.
During the pandemic the following policies will be in effect:
- In order to reduce physical contact, there will be no midstay cleans regardless of how long the reservation is for. Rates reflect the reduced service level.
- There will be a minimum of 30 hours between reservations.
- Early check ins and late check outs may be limited in order to ensure adequate time between reservations and allow for safe entry into the unit of housekeeping staff.
- Cancellation Policy: For government ordered shut downs, there is a $200 cancel fee and the rest is refunded.
- Location: The Gables is 5 minutes from all lifts & the Village, AND quiet & private. Nestled in Douglas Firs with Fitzsimmons Creek roaring past, you feel relaxed & tucked away in the woods when staying at The Gables.

This Gables unit is spacious, well equipped with very comfortable bedding and furniture. The place is particularly well situated, you only have a few steps to walk to get to Whistler or Blackcomb base for a day on the slopes. We had a wonderful stay here. The Gables is ideally located between Blackcomb and Whistler and this property had all the comforts and cleanliness for a nice stay. I particularly liked that Kerry provided and allowed the use of coffee, salt and pepper, laundry detergent etc. This meant that we didn't have to purchase industrial quantities of these things that we were simply never going to use. It's sometimes the small touches that make a stay comfortable. I would stay here again.View Full Review
Great Location To Whistler Village

My wife, son and I stayed at The Gables from 16th to 23rd December 2018. First off, Kerry Wallace was a wonderful host. Communication was prompt and responsive and the info on how to get to Gables from Vancouver, checking in etc was comprehensive. We had an early check-in as well which was great.
The apartment was well furnished and the kitchen well equipped. It had everything, utensils, wine glasses etc. The apartment was well cleaned and tidy when we checked in. Very cosy! What I liked was that there was also a washing machine and dryer included which makes it very convenient for extended stays.
The apartment was situated on the ground floor so moving heavy luggage around was easy. The pull out sofa bed was surprisingly comfy too although a bit springy. As this unit is situated deeper inside the grounds, we didn't get any road noise whatsoever. What I liked best about the Gables is the location. Its reasonable walking distance (approx 500-600m) to Whistler Village (to the gondolas etc) and even closer to Blackcomb. Moving around with skis is not too difficult.
The rates are also reasonable given that the hotels at the Village can go as high as a $1,000 plus per night (eg Pan Pacific) for a standard type room during the peak period, if you don't book early enough. For families that ski, my view is that a self-contained apartment with more space is always a better option than a hotel room. Hotel rooms (eg Hilton Whistler) do not have a washing machine/dryer in the room...you have to leave your room to use common ones. That being said, Pan Pacific and Hilton are within the Village itself.
Some transport companies like Skylynx offer a door to door service to Gables from Vancouver Airport, downtown etc...so you can literally be dropped off at your front door. Makes getting to and from Whistler a breeze. Its a nice little apartment for a couple or couple with one or two kids.
I will definitely choose Gables again in the future.View Full Review

My wife and I stayed for 11 nights. It is a perfect place for a couple. Very clean and very comfortable particularly the bed. It is our third time at Whistler and The Gables is by far the most convenient location. It is a short walk to the lifts on Blackcomb or Whistler. The Village is a short stroll away. Only stayed here for one night but it had everything we needed and is in a great location. The kitchen and bathroom are a bit dated but perfectly adequate. As an experienced condo renter in Whistler this unit did not disappoint. Nothing fancy but very clean and The Gables is a great location. Underground parking is also included which is nice. My only complaint was the bed. I found it to be not just firm but actually a little bit too hard but beyond that, we were very happy with everything else and we would not hesitate to book this unit again.

If you are a serious skier/border or biker 'The Gables' are the best place to stay in Whistler. The Gables is a clean modern property that is a perfect base for winter or summer. Booking via Allura is very straightforward and quick. The rental manger is very easy to contact and was extremely helpful throughout our extended stay.

This was our first snowboard holiday out of Europe and Whistler seemed the obvious option for hopefully lots of powder and it did not disappoint! This accomodation was perfect. The location is great, blackcombe's wizzard gondala is right on your doorstep and only a 5 minute walk to the main whistler village and gondala's!
The apartment- The kitchen was pefect and had averything and more I could of thought we might need (despite eating out a lot because the food was so good) , comfortable bed, bath with jacuzzi jets. This is a great condo if you want to stay in Whistler. Very centrally located and quiet. It's in the shade so it doesn't overheat on sunny Summer days (that also means it's less bright). The space is very well laid out and comfortable with a nice large flat screen Smart TV. The mattress was excellent and made for great and restful nights of sleep.
The property manager was top notch: All systems were in place with comprehensive instructions and reminders ans she was extremely helpful and always responded immediately to any query or request. The condo was recently acquired by a new owner and a couple of things still needed to be replaced (like the curtains and possibly the washer & dryer), but things should be fixed by the time you get there.

Very comfortable unit with single bedroom and pull out couch for third person. Kitchen is well equipped for meal preparation and dishwasher was appreciated. Washing macine and dryer came in handy. Could use some upgrades compared to a friends unit in the same complex. The bathroom vanity was a little worn. Paper towel, Kleenex and face soap were in short supply.
