The Marquise is located in the exclusive Upper Village close to the Fairmont Chateau Whistler and offers the convenience of slopeside access to Blackcomb mountain and the Wizard Chair lift. We have ski-in and ski-out access trails located about 20 metres from the building on the other side of Spearhead Drive.

The area is quiet and private, away from the noise of the nightclubs. Ideal for guests who wish to enjoy the peace and beauty of the mountains but who also wish all services and facilities close by. There are shops and restaurants located in the Upper Village which is a short stroll away or walk for 10 minutes to reach the central village and marketplace. If you don't feel like walking then catch the free village shuttle which stops outside the Marquise.

The condo was conveniently located to the mountain which was right across the street and minutes from the village. Having stayed in Whistler many times, this location was super and very quiet. It was an easy walk to the upper and lower villages and if you don't feel like walking, the bus stop was right outside the door. Great place to lay your head down after a long day of skiing.

Ideal location for those seeking the quieter life

We stayed in apartment 4** at The Marquise for six nights. Prior to arrival we had all the information provided by email from the owners sent via email. This ensured a very smooth, self-check in. There were two passcodes (generated by the owner) that were forwarded to us prior to arrival. They were valid for the duration of our stay. One (a six-digit code) was for access to the apartment; the other, the same code with four preceding digits. Tickets for the underground parking are available in the lobby (floor 2). There are plenty of trolleys to transport belongings to/from the parking area.

The apartment was clean, functional and in a quiet location close to the slopes. The apartment also had a very comprehensive binder provided by the owners containing information to make our stay easier. The complex had a gym, sauna, outdoor heated swimming pool and indoor hot-tub. You have to use room towels, so I would strongly recommend bringing extra towels from home as extra towels are not available from the complex.

The complex is close to the Blackcomb slopes, but is not strictly ski-in/ski-out. There are, however, narrow access tracks nearby that allow access on skis. These are not suitable for beginners. Access to the village on foot is simple. The path from the back of the ski locker room is slippery as it was not cleared or salted while we were there. The HOA committee needs to be on the ball with this. For those not able, or wanting, to walk to the village there is a complimentary shuttle bus which runs approximately every ten minutes. The stop is just a few yards up the road (Spearhead Drive) from the front entrance of the complex.

The only real complaint I have is the garbage room. There is a recycling and general Garbage Room. Unfortunately the room is a mess. It is a self-sort facility, but it is obvious that not everyone believes in the merits of recycling. Also, the bins were overflowing. I would suggest that the owners approach the HOA committee and increase the frequency of garbage collection.

Overall, our stay was excellent. We were there to ski, not party. The location of The Marquiseâ??s was ideal. The owners were prompt to reply to emails, and they provided all the information we needed to ensure our stay was very enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again, and have no hesitation in recommending this property to others.

The condo was quite nice and clean. Furniture has been updated and in good condition. Position of the fireplace did not make much sense, positioning the fire place in 45 degree in the corner would be much more enjoyable and effective with heat distribution in the room. Having light switch for the bedroom outside of the bedroom did not make any sense at all. Otherwise our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable! -Paul

Guest Stay Policies

Amenity Terms of Use Please respect all private and common amenities of the property. Damage or excessive cleaning to any amenity will be charged to the Guest responsible.
Bike Storage A locked bike storage room is available in the parking garage. Use at own risk, we are not responsible for any losses. Sorry, we cannot allow bikes to be stored in our condo (strata rules apply)
Check-In Time 4:00pm. Early check-in may be possible. Please ask us before arrival.
Check-Out Time 10:00am strictly enforced. Security codes provided have an expiry time. Please leave the condo in a tidy state, remove garbage and wash dirty dishes in the dishwasher.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Noise Complaints of excessive noise may result in eviction without refund. Excessive noise which disturbs others in the building between the hours of 10:30pm and 8:30am is prohibited according to strictly enforced strata bylaws.
Garbage Removal Bagged garbage must be removed from the condo on departure. Please do not leave garbage in the condo!
Housekeeping Complimentary cleaning done before arrival and after departure. Stayover clean done every 7 days if booking exceeds 10 days. Extra cleaning on request at guest's expense. Cleaning products and vacuum provided for use if required. Laundry facilities are located on the 1st floor if required. Please do not ask the cleaners to come back at another time as they charge for attending and any reschedules will be billed to the guest.
Internet Availability & Usage Internet services are available for the guest's convenience. Internet abuse including, but not limited to, downloading copyrighted material is prohibited. Internet and TV services are provided by Telus and we cannot be held responsible for interruption of service caused by the provider.
Liability We are excluded from liability for personal bodily injury while in our home, in transit to or on resort property. Travel insurance is highly recommended
Locking Door It is your responsibility to ensure that the front door of the condo is locked when leaving the condo. Please note that our front door and all common area doors operate on a unique timed access code which is provided for your stay.
