The Marquise is located in the exclusive Upper Village close to the Fairmont Chateau Whistler and offers the convenience of slopeside access to Blackcomb mountain and the Blackcomb Gondola lift. We have ski-in and ski-out access trails located about 20 metres from the building on the other side of Spearhead Drive.

The area is quiet and private, away from the noise of the nightclubs. Ideal for guests who wish to enjoy the peace and beauty of the mountains but who also wish all services and facilities close by. There are shops and restaurants located in the Upper Village which is a short stroll away or walk for 10 minutes to reach the central village and marketplace. If you don't feel like walking then catch the free village shuttle which stops outside the Marquise. 

On site shared facilities include:    Outdoor heated swimming pool, hot-tub, sauna, exercise room, laundry room.

This is our 2nd time to stay and it met our expectations. Close to the village means taking the free shuttle into the village for dining and a full kitchen for preparing meals to dine in. Love the ski -in/out convenience too. I had a few questions for Cathy when we first arrived and she was very respond in getting back to me. We definitely will return.

The location was easy to ski-in & ski-out, plus close enough to walk to the Blackcomb village (then through to Whistler) or catch the free bus which stops right at the front of the building. This apartment is totally fantastic for many reasons. Perfect for 3 or 4 people. The location is the absolute best. It's on the free shuttle route (#5) in and out of Whistler Village. Across the road and about 100 yards down the hill you get to the track that you can ski down to Blackcomb base (a much faster way to get home than waiting for the bus in the afternoons). It's also on most of the main Vancouver-Whistler bus shuttles which saves a lot of hassle getting to and from the Gateway Loop Exchange with luggage.

There's a master bedroom and a pull out sofa in the living space. The kitchen is equipped with everything - don't rush out to buy coffee filters or cling wrap until you get there and check if there may be some leftover from the previous occupants. There is a bench top coffee filter machine. There was lots of space in the bathroom to dry out wet ski clothes. There is a ski locker downstairs which has a combination lock. There is a also a spa and pool which we didn't use, but many people did. Bring your own toiletries.

There is no concierge but most people who are also staying there are pretty helpful. The owners Cathy and Michael are very responsive and quick to give advice on where to go/shop etc. Thanks Cathy and Michael! We will be back!

Stayed for a little over a week in March. Condo was great, no fancy granite counter-tops or fancy furniture, but everything was really good quality, and was clean and comfortable, which is what is important to me. Location was great, walk across the road to a short trail to the lifts, and a nice 10-15 min walk to the village (or ride the free bus, but we liked to stretch our legs). Nice and quiet at night, which was a plus as well.

The condo was conveniently located to the mountain which was right across the street and minutes from the village. Having stayed in Whistler many times, this location was super and very quiet. It was an easy walk to the upper and lower villages and if you don't feel like walking, the bus stop was right outside the door. Great place to lay your head down after a long day of skiing.

We stayed in apartment 4** at The Marquise for six nights. Prior to arrival we had all the information provided by email from the owners sent via email. This ensured a very smooth, self-check in. There were two passcodes (generated by the owner) that were forwarded to us prior to arrival. They were valid for the duration of our stay. One (a six-digit code) was for access to the apartment; the other, the same code with four preceding digits. Tickets for the underground parking are available in the lobby (floor 2). There are plenty of trolleys to transport belongings to/from the parking area.

The apartment was clean, functional and in a quiet location close to the slopes. The apartment also had a very comprehensive binder provided by the owners containing information to make our stay easier. The complex had a gym, sauna, outdoor heated swimming pool and indoor hot-tub. You have to use room towels, so I would strongly recommend bringing extra towels from home as extra towels are not available from the complex.

The complex is close to the Blackcomb slopes, but is not strictly ski-in/ski-out. There are, however, narrow access tracks nearby that allow access on skis. These are not suitable for beginners. Access to the village on foot is simple. The path from the back of the ski locker room is slippery as it was not cleared or salted while we were there. The HOA committee needs to be on the ball with this. For those not able, or wanting, to walk to the village there is a complimentary shuttle bus which runs approximately every ten minutes. The stop is just a few yards up the road (Spearhead Drive) from the front entrance of the complex.

The only real complaint I have is the garbage room. There is a recycling and general Garbage Room. Unfortunately the room is a mess. It is a self-sort facility, but it is obvious that not everyone believes in the merits of recycling. Also, the bins were overflowing. I would suggest that the owners approach the HOA committee and increase the frequency of garbage collection.

Overall, our stay was excellent. We were there to ski, not party. The location of The Marquiseâ??s was ideal. The owners were prompt to reply to emails, and they provided all the information we needed to ensure our stay was very enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again, and have no hesitation in recommending this property to others.

The condo was quite nice and clean. Furniture has been updated and in good condition. Position of the fireplace did not make much sense, positioning the fire place in 45 degree in the corner would be much more enjoyable and effective with heat distribution in the room. Having light switch for the bedroom outside of the bedroom did not make any sense at all. Otherwise our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable! -Paul

We found the unit ideal for what we wanted. The Marquise is in a great location with easy bus access to the village. It was a short walk to the slope leading to the Wizard Express which seldom had crowds and an easy ski out .

The unit was good value for money. The only issue we had was trying to remember all of the access codes!

Good property on the highside of the hill, so be ready for this in your planning. very well appointed and nothing left to chance. Would recommend for people who are looking for a good place to stay and are prepared to be outside the village. Transport is easy to come by and so you are never really inconvenienced. Would stay there again.

This was a fine little condo with one huge problem. The bed. To begin. We loved the location. The place was clean and most everything worked. Kitchen knives were typically dull, the large stove top burner did not work and the refrigerator froze our eggs solid but milk would not get cold..Oddly, a broom is provided but no dust pan. Unit decoration is in a late 80's time warp.

Overall, a fair value for a fair price. Nothing special. But, the bed was very uncomfortable. Worse than the pull out couch! My poor 60 year old wife slept on the floor all 5 nights. If you care at all about your customers please replace the mattress with a really good one.. Why else do you rent a condo except to sleep? As an old skier a comfortable night sleep is a requirement. Thank you.

I stayed here for almost a month in the Autumn of 2015. Everything was fine and there were no problems. The unit has big windows to the south so there was lots of light. I can imagine that it might tend to a little hot in summer, but there is an air-conditioner in the bedroom that should alleviate this.

The TV had a great selection of channels. The main bed in its own separate bedroom was in good condition. It was quite firm so if you don't cope well with a firm mattress bringing a light foam overlay might be worth considering.
