The Mt Morrisey lift system (3 minutes) allows ski in/ski out and the house backs onto Sun Peaks Golf Course for summer visitors.  Beautifully furnished with fully equipped kitchen, with WiFi internet, new TV/DVD, CD player and iPod docking system.  Washer/dryer. Garage and on-street parking avaialble.

We found this property to be exactly as described in terms of size and amenities as well as relative location to the village and the lifts.

It's spacious, comfortable, well appointed and was well suited to our family of 5 adults. Information regarding the unit (door access, directions, etc) was provided well in advance and Mia was quick to respond to a question we had during our stay. We would definitely book this unit again.

Returning Guests, Great Place to Stay

We've been long-time vacationers of Sun Peaks Resort and even with all the development and popularity of this resort, the 3 mountains are big enough to spread the people around.

This is our 2nd consecutive year staying at MC and here's why:

  1. Quick and timely response to Questions regarding the details/amenities/sleeping arrangements, etc... from the Manager/Owner.
  2. Spacious and comfortable place to stay. Nothing too fancy, but convenient and they think of everything their ski guests may require.
  3. Ease of skiing out and in. Close to Morrissey and just a quick walk down to the village.
  4. Kitchen is adequately stocked. Some wear and tear of appliances, dishware and such. But out of the owner's control. They could use a replenishment of bowls and plates.
  5. Heat works, hot tub works, dishwasher (a must) works, 3 bathrooms for guests to use. Convenient.

Looking forward to booking for a 3rd year in 2019. Great place!

Great Accommodation - McGillivary Creek

The home was lovely, just what we needed for the time spent at Sun Peaks. it was an easy walk into the village so the vehicle never left the parking lot for the whole stay. It was a smooth check in and just the right size for our family of 2 adults, 3 kids. The home backed on to the walking path and creek so was peaceful and cool in the evening which was great after the hot days we experienced. it also had a washing machine and dryer which came in very handy! Thanks for letting us know and reminding us to bring detergent.

As we were staying in July, it was odd to get a check in package that was only about the winter activities. I would suggest that even though your busiest time is the winter season that you create a summer check in package that includes most of the same information for check in but is focused on the summer activities for those guests.

We did use the kitchen for several meals. Having access to a BBQ was great. I do have a few suggestions for additions to the kitchen. We could not find a cutting board at all and that would be great to have. The flipper was the right size for the BBQ but to big for the frying pans, perhaps get a smaller one for flipping eggs etc. Also the non stick frying pan(s) were no longer non stick and could be replaced. They were a bit small when cooking for 5 as well. Also if you are washing dishes by hand there is no drying rack to put them on, perhaps a portable rack for under the sink would be helpful. It was funny to see winter scene towels and Christmas items around the house during the month of July. Winter was obviously loved. The screen door to the patio didn't stay in the tracks very well and needs a look at. The weather was such that it was nice to have it open, we made it work.

I did email a few times and on occasion it did take a while to receive a reply, however that could be due to time zones and weekends. Otherwise the information received was prompt and helpful.

We had a great time visiting Sun Peaks as first time visitors and will keep it in mind for another get away. Thank you for the use of your home.

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Guests authorize a credit card charge for excessive cleaning costs.
Excessive Noise Please respect your neighbours at all times. No noise after 10pm. You will be fined by security if your party and your guests disrupt other guests.
Garbage Removal Guests are responsible for removing garbage to the disposal area.
Housekeeping Provided before arrival and after departure. Additional housekeeping may be available on request at your expense.
Internet Availability & Usage Illegal downloads forbidden. Should we receive notification that such activity has occurred, the Guest responsible will be immediately evicted and charged for damages.
Liability We cannot be held responsible for any injury to you or your guests, or damage/loss of your personal belonging whilst staying at our property. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
Locking Door Guests are required to securely lock all doors and entrances when they are not in the unit or upon departure.
