Casa Cabernet is located in the new quiet Vintage Views subdivision located off Eastside Road which runs north from Penticton to the south to Okanagan Falls on the east side of Skaha Lake.

A centrally perfect location among the 80 or so wineries from Naramata to Osoyoos.  Close to Pentiction for the UCI World Cycling Tour or the famous Subaru Ironman Triathlon.

The Policies are outlined below. For your privacy, security and convenience, we accept payment by VISA and MASTERCARD, entered through the secure on-line payment facility on the AlluraDirect website.

You will receive a written (emailed) policy statement with your Deposit Confirmation and we ask you sign an agreement to accept our terms to confirm your reservation. Note that a Damage Deposit of $300 is required at time of booking - separate from the Reservation deposit. The Damage Deposit is to cover damages to the property and to cover expenses to the security firm, if called to the home. Damage Deposits to be returned to guests via email transfers within 10 days after their stay.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Arrival Days Check-in and arrival instructions will be emailed upon balance payment.
Booking & Arrival Deadline Must book and pay full balance at least 72 hours before your arrival date.
Cancellations Made by Guests If cancellation made prior to the 45 day final balance to be paid, then a full refund (less a 15% administration fee) will be made. If the cancellation is done after the 45 day final balance payment, then a full refund (less 25% administration fee) will be made.
Cancellations Made by Owners We reserve the right to cancel your booking due to a late payment or if you violate any of our published policies. All payments are non-refundable.
Courtesy Hold Reservations Not accepted. Reservations are confirmed with payment.
Delayed Arrivals No refunds. We are not responsible for circumstances which result in delayed arrivals!
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information 1 week to 10 days prior to arrival by email. Later for last minute reservations.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Guest Identification Documents We reserve the right to ask all Guests for identification (one with photo) before or during their stay, to confirm their eligibility to book and stay in our property.
Guest Stay Contract By reserving online via your credit card, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. By clicking the AGREE button when paying online, you acknowledge that you have legally accepted, read, understood, agree with, and will comply with our publicly advertised policies (including payment terms) on our web site.
Ineligible Guests Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments Failure to pay by due dates will result in automatic cancellation without a deposit refund. Deposit will be applied to same dates if still available should guest wish to re-book.
Privacy The Owner, their booking Contact and this web sites technical administrators agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of their Guests without prior written consent from the Guests, except under force of law, or for law enforcement purposes relating to policy and property violation. The Owner and their booking Contact also agree to not use Guest personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Guests. Guests agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of the Owner or their booking Contact without prior written consent from the Owner and/or Contact, except under force of law or for law enforcement purposes. Reservation Changes Please contact us if you need to lengthen or shorten your reservation, and we will do what we can to accommodate. Changes are not guaranteed, and refunds may be treated in accordance with our cancellation policy.
Website Service Fee Website Service Fees are non-refundable, with the exception to reservations made before March 15, 2020. If there is an officially mandated COVID travel restriction being imposed by the countries where the property and/or guest is located, website service fees may be refunded. To claim this refund review, the restriction must be in place up to 14 days prior to your rental arrival date. All refunds will be processed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and any currency exchange difference will not be covered. All refunds will have a 5% processing fee applied to cover the cost of the refund transactions. Please contact between 1-14 days before your cancelled arrival date to have reviewed. Flight cancellations alone will not be approved, a copy of the official Government issued restriction will be required.

Guest Stay Policies

Amenity Terms of Use Please respect all private and common amenities of the property. Damage or excessive cleaning to any amenity will be charged to the Guest responsible.
Bike Storage Bike of Ski storage will be located in the garage.
Check-In Time 4 PM. Contact us prior to arrival - early check-in may be possible.
Check-Out Time 11 AM. Contact us prior to arrival - late check-out may be possible.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
COVID Contact Tracing Requirements The property owner must be able to produce a list of guests who have occupied their rentals for contact tracing protocols in the event of an outbreak. The guest must provide names of whop will be occupying the rental property during their rental agreement.
COVID Maximum Guest Limitation The number of people is limited to the capacity of the space, plus a maximum of five visitors at any given time. Large gatherings will be removed from the premises and no refund will be provided.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Guests authorize a credit card charge for excessive cleaning costs.
Excessive Noise Excessive noise is not permitted. Occupants / Guests may be evicted subsequent to noise complaints & will be charged for fees incurred resulting from the need to call security or the police. Please engage in quiet conversation out of respect for our neighboring families. If a security firm or the police is called, any fines/fees to be reimbursed by guest via their damage deposit.
Forgotten Items by Guest Please contact us if you think you have forgotten an item and we will endeavor to locate it and mail it to you.
Housekeeping Housekeeping/Cleaning at check-out is included in the rates. If additional cleaning is required during your stay it will be at a charge of $175.00 per clean. There will be no charge for additional cleaning for stays longer then 8 days. Requests for additional cleaning must be made in advance.
Liability We are excluded from liability for personal bodily injury in our home, while in transit to and from, or while on our property.
Locking Door Guests are required to securely lock all doors, entrances and windows when they are not in the home or upon departure.
Maintenance Emergencies 24 hour contact. Complete emergency contacts provided for booked guests.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity Six (6). Enforced. Parties in excess of maximums will be evicted with no refund.
Missing Items Guests authorize a credit card charge for missing items. To be deducted off the Damage Deposit.
Noise Restrictions No noise after 10 PM. You will be fined by security or police if your party and your guests disrupt other neighbors. Any fines will be deducted off the damage deposit.
Policy Updates Policies are subject to change without notice.
Property Damage Guest authorizes charge on their credit card upon booking their reservation - along with the reservation deposit, in the event of property damage. You will be responsible for all damages. By accepting our guest stay contract, you agree to pay us for all damages you incur. Damage includes, but is not restricted to: common or private property damage, noise complaints and fines, excessive cleaning charges, lost or broken or missing common or private property items, smoking inside the property, pets inside the property and all charges relating to security company or police involvement regarding property occupant's behavior while on the property.
Rental Accommodation Zoning This home is located in a quiet neighborhood. Please respect this.
Terms of Eviction By 24 hour Security Company or Police. Guests will be evicted for excessive noise, common and private property damage, during disturbing the peace.

Property Details

The home is nestled within a rock formation, allowing for a two level home.  The lower / ground level of the home is covered with tiles and carpet and encompasses the entrance, open concept family/recreational area, 3rd guest bedroom (with patio doors to a covered deck) and bathroom (4 piece), laundry room, utility room and garage access. 

From the entrance way, stairs lead up to the main floor area which boasts an open concept with hard wood floors throughout.  The kitchen, being the focal point of the open area, overlooks the dining, living, sitting and den area, with access to the deck off the dining room.  All surrounded by windows to enjoy the Skaha Lake and mountain views.  To complete the main floor is the master bedroom with its walk in closet and ensuite, along with the 2nd guest bedroom and a main bathroom.

A Chef's delight.  The gourmet kitchen & pantry is fully stocked with all the necessities (small appliances and staples) that a chef will require to whip up a fantastic meal to delight family members or friends.   The kitchen boasts of a granite island, stainless steel appliances (large fridge with a water filtration system, a gas range with hood fan, dishwasher and microwave).  If you prefer grilling, the outdoor gas BBQ and patio furniture await your use, accessed from the sliding doors off the dining area. The granite island accomodates 4 wood / leather stools.

Living Area

The living room, sitting and den area are tastefully decorated with plenty of windows.  Above the remote controlled gas fireplace, a 42” wall mounted flat screen HD TV can be viewed comfortably from the kitchen and dining area. There are many things to do in these areas, watch TV, chill out to some music, cozy up to the fireplace, surf the net, snuggle up on the cozy furniture to read a book, my favorite unwind and relax in a ergonomics reclining chair that looks out at the amazing view, or better yet admire and converse with those in the kitchen preparing your wonderful meal. Available are: DVD player, DVDs, CDs, stereo, cable vision, printer, various reading material and high speed internet (hard wire or WIFI - throughout the house), so bring your lap top.

Immediately adjacent to the living room and kitchen.  The dining area has views of the mountains and Skaha lake.  Or best, step out onto the covered and extended deck for your desert or morning coffee, or savor a glass of wine while watching the sunset.  Day or Night just relax.

About Us

In traveling twice through the Thompson Okanagan area during the summer, wine tasting of course.  I felt a strong connection and will to eventually retire here, instead of Vancouver.  Being from Ontario the weather, the numerous activites available during all four seasons was a big draw.  Hence, I instantly fell in love with my new home.  I hope that you will also enjoy it.
