Wonderful place in Whistler!

We had a wonderful time staying in Larry's condo at Montebello. It's a really well laid out place which meant we could have lots of people there but we weren't bumping into each other. Having the kitchen/living area on the lower floor looking over the back yard and the hot tub was fantastic. Some units have the kitchen up but I far prefer the layout at Larry's. The beds were really comfortable, the showers were hot, the towels were fluffy and we were just a short walk to the Village. I highly recommend this place.

Quiet and convenient, great for families

The townhouse is located about a 3 or 4 minute walk away from the free shuttle to the gondolas, and right next to a paid bus to the gondolas. Walking to the gondolas takes about 10 minutes, probably longer with gear. We arranged to have our skis and boots stored at the base of the mountain, so could easily manage any of these options.The easy access to the village also meant we could get provisions, shop, and go dine, on foot.

Inside, the townhouse is very well provisioned, with comfortable beds, good furniture, plenty of pillows and clean towels, and a very, very well equipped and stocked kitchen. The wifi is reliable and fast too. Further, the hot tub appears to be maintained weekly! The gas fireplace heats up the space nicely. Itâ??s old so you just have to remember to keep the pilot on.

Larry was responsive from the time of booking and through our stay. They also created one of the most comprehensive and entertaining information folders Iâ??ve ever read. This of course helped make our stay smoother.

In all we had an awesome family stay here, and were able to enjoy being in whistler without having to deal with the noise and drunken behaviour one might encounter whilst staying within the village. The kids and we even had a snowball fight using the clean snow all along the path on the way back to the townhouse after a day of heavy snow fall.

We can definitely recommend this place to other families, and would of course like to return on our future trips to whistler. To our host(s) - thank you :)

Larry was superb from the start of the booking process to our departure last Sunday. All communications were clear and responses to queries were dealt with very quickly.

We have been traveling to Whistler for approximately 20 years now and the frequency of our visits increases each year. This was our 4th visit this year and Larry's holiday home fit the bill perfectly. Montebello is perfectly located if you want to be in a quick stroll of Whistler village but also be far enough away to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet at the end of the day.

Fantastic accommodation for the 6 of us. Just perfect.

Lovely spacious well located property

Excellent property in a perfect location - walking distance from the town centre, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Perfect size for up to 6 people comfortably. Great back garden with hot tub and BBQ which we were able to use a few times due to the warm weather we experienced during our trip.

The property contained everything we required. Garage was secure for storing bikes and a vehicle, plus a driveway for a second vehicle. The only thing Iâ??d say was a small issue was the heat, but I guess Whistler doesnâ??t experience 33C that often, the AC struggled to cool the building. Instead we just had to ensure windows were open and hope that the overnight temps dropped enough so we could have a comfortable sleep.

Fantastic Experience!

We had our annual ski trip with the siblings and this year decided to go to Whistler, BC. It was a first time, but I know we will be back. The process in renting this fabulous town home started with an easy conversation with the owner after we submitted our application via alluradirect. Larry was easy going and gave us a sense of security with renting his home. He accurately explained and described the home and gave plenty of tips and advice on how to get the most of out our ski/snowboarding experience on the mountain, i.e. how to get there, the proximity, what he does personally, etc. The home was even better in person. It was clean with nice furnishings. It was the perfect amount of space for our family. The master bedroom with ensuite was comfortable and relaxing. The other 2 bedrooms shared a nice full bathroom also on the 2nd floor. Everything that was expected was supplied with plenty of towels and soap. The kitchen and open space to living room/dining area was great, where everyone could be around while preparing food or breakfast. The dining table was comfortable for the whole family to relax and eat/drink after a day on the slopes. One of the best perks was the nice outdoor hottub to relax your legs in after hitting the mountain. There was a full bathroom on the main floor as well, which was great for the ones on the pull out sofa. The living area had a nice hot gas fireplace too! Another added bonus was the washer/dryer in the home to able to wash some base layers in the evening. Further more, plenty of parking, 1 garage and 1 in front. We had a regular SUV in the garage and a large Yukon XL outside and it fit nicely and easily. The proximity to the village is great. Easily walkable (or easy drive if you choose) to the village/shops to the gondolas. Plenty of restaurants and shops everywhere. Great apres ski areas. Really one of the best ski villages around. Overall, the experience with Larry's home for a Whistler ski vacation was perfect, memorable, and was exactly what our family needed. The place was updated and modern and gave us the home away from home we were looking for. The process in contacting Larry to getting there and enjoying the place was easy and seamless. When we return to Whistler in the future, we will certainly look into staying again. Lastly, for families with kids or children, the home is very family/kid friendly. We had our 2 year old with us and he loved running around and going up the stairs etc. Larry's home had stuff for the kids as well. Just ask him and he'll let you know what child friendly things are already there to help your stay! Overall, great experience and time. We highly recommend without reservation to anyone looking for a place to rent for Whistler! You won't be disappointed!

A perfect location for a perfect vacation

We were extremely pleased with both the rental and its location. The home is well-maintained, clean and tastefully decorated. Larry provided us with all of the information we needed before our arrival and we were able to totally enjoy our vacation. This property is convenient to the slopes, shopping and other activities. We like to cook and the kitchen is very well equipped with cooking/baking utensils and supplies. We enjoyed the humorous description of how to use the hot tub. One note that could be added to the information packet as that there are glass, plastic and paper recycling bins alongside the trash containers. We would be happy to heartily recommend this home to others and would like to return in the future.

February Family Ski Trip

Larry is a great owner/host. Very responsive to calls and e-mails before and during trip. Photos and descriptions are accurate. Very well equipped kitchen, we ate most meals at home. Townhome is a short walk to the Village, but a little too far to walk with ski equipment.(we came up on shuttle, no car)

We used local taxi service to and from condo to base of gondola daily (big van for 5-6 people same price as a small taxi). Very fast and relatively inexpensive. Nice trip.

Larry was wonderful and very responsive both before and during our stay. This was our group's second time staying at this property. For this visit again, the house was very clean and in good shape. We like and appreciate the house policy of basic pantry and refrigerator staples--use freely, replace what you use the last of, share similar items upon departure. Would be great if there was a slow cooker available in the kitchen! Overall, great stay, great skiing, great responsiveness from the owner!

When you get to Whistler Village, stay on Rt. 99 until you come to Lorimer Rd. (Second light in Whistler Village and the next light after Village Gate Rd.). Take a right and follow Lorimer Rd. past the Marketplace and take a left at the first light which is Blackcomb Way. After several hundred yards you will see a sign for Montebello.
