This is the place for the vacation you've been dreaming about - direct ski-in, ski out access to some of the best skiing in Western Canada, and luxurious amenities to help you relax and unwind when you're not on the slopes.

All the comforts of home (and more) are here:  two master suites with king-sized beds, a fully appointed kitchen with granite counter tops and heated tile floors, plus a separate downstairs living area with its own bedroom, bathroom, and living area / entertainment center.  A wireless internet connection is available for your use, if you must bring a computer with you on your vacation.

Amazing rental space! Perfect for two families, great for teens! Easy ski in and ski out and easy to walk down to gondola or return from village via the ski out. My only critique - it would be nice to have a shower head available in the one ensuite bath. Not a deal breaker, just would have been nice to have the option for a shower in the second upstairs bedroom. We will absolutely consider this rental again!

The owners were attentive when we needed help and the instructions were clear. everything we needed was available at the unit. The unit is big, plenty of space for everyone to sleep, and living room area was big enough to comfortably fit everyone in my party. Would come back again.

Wonderful family winter vacation

Blacksmith Lodge Unit 2 was a wonderful townhouse for our family vacation. It is spacious, clean and has lovely mountain views. The unit has a garage making it easy upon arrival and departure to pack and unpack. The rooms are clean and spacious. The common living area is comfortable and the kitchen is loaded with additional items not usually found in rental units. The owners are available if needed. Our only disappointment was the Hot tub was not working during our visit. The owner dealt with this very fairly. We would stay here again.

We stayed for 3 nights at this wonderful townhome! Ski in/out is off the run close to Plaza chair, very convenient! The hot tub on the deck was so relaxing after a day of skiing. Everything inside was clean and comfortable. The one thing I will mention is that the 2 rooms downstairs are connected, meaning you have to go through one to get to the other. It worked for us but I can see how that might be awkward for some.

Super spacious, fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds. Had a hot tub issue the first day but contacted Gwen who got on it right away. A technician showed up first thing the next morning and all was good. Great stay all in all and will hopefully be back next year.

Weâ??ve enjoyed this property on 3 different occasions over the years, which goes to show that we really like it. Itâ??s convenient, well equipped and comfortable. Well stocked kitchen and washrooms make it easy for comfort and meal prep.

Owners are responsive to any concerns and do their best to resolve any issues. Great location for ski in/out. Comfortable beds, clean linens, spacious for 2-3 families sharing, depending on numbers.

The layout is great for two families. Two king suites on third floor and two rooms for the kids on the first floor. Living area in the middle with view of the mountains and fireworks. Ski out from back door to Plaza/Ridge chairs and ski in to the road right beside the unit via Gondola Way. The unit is very well equipped and comfortable. We will be back!

This is a great place to relax. In fact, the unit is nicer than the photos suggest. The beds and bedding are top notch. The kitchen was well stocked (although a coffee grinder would be a nice addition). Everything worked well. There's amply place to store skis and boots. The location is easy to get to and close enough to the village to walk to. The ski in requires a short walk but you can ski out the back door. The TV and internet are really good. The hot tub is in good shape. All told, good value for the money. I'd rent again. Aaron

Fantastic Big White Experience

We stayed here recently. John was very responsive and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better rental owner. The home is an excellent condition. It is truly a ski in and ski out rental. One just goes thru the door on the back and off you go! The home is large enough to accommodate my large party (4 adults and 5 young children). Everyone had plenty space to roam without feeling cramped. The kitchen is well stocked. The hot tub on the deck was great. It got us rejuvenated and ready for the next day. It was our first visit to Big White. It was definitely family friendly. Even though we were there during one of the busiest weeks (US and Alberta mid winter breaks), the slopes did not feel crowded because Big White is BIG. There was literally no lines at the lifts. We were running laps all day. It was a fantastic vacation. Overall, I give John's renal 5 stars. My only and minor complaint was the lack of bath soaps and/or shower gels in the bathrooms. We had to rush to the market in the village center to get them the first night.

We had a great stay at Blacksmith Lodge. The location has great ski in ski out access even with younger kids. We were able to pop in and out with ease.

The set up was perfect for our two families. The heated floors made things cozy. The appliances all worked, the fridge was clean and the kitchen was well kitted out (only thing missing was a crock pot and that was no big deal). The beds were comfortable.

We have been coming to Big White for a family vacation for years and stayed in developments all over the mountain and this was the best combo of location, quality of unit and ski conditions that we have had. Thank you

This was a great home on the hill for our family. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the place - the hot tub, fireplace and comfortable beds all added to a very wonderful family holiday. Skiing is truly ski in and ski out - a great location for both the upper and lower village at Big White. I found the kitchen to have plenty of storage for our supplies, plus it was well equipped with everything I needed. The dining room provided a spacious table for entertaining 6-8 guests. We loved our stay, and hope to return when we are next looking to stay at Big White. Thank you Darren, your quick response and easy attitude made the rental process easy. Hope to see you again.

Superb location near centre of Big White. Easy ski out to 3 chair lifts, ski in from village along Gondola way. Happy Valley, cross country, tube town and skiing all a 3 minute walk.
