The place was modern, clean and well stocked kitchen if you want to make meals. We had 3 families (6 adults and 5 kids) and had lots of space for everyone including an entertainment room downstairs to keep kids occupied when the not skiing. the unit is ski-in straight to hottub off the Orient chair. For ski-out its a short 2 minute walk down to end of development and across the road to skis to orient or Morrisey chair and no complaining from kids. It is a bit of walk from the village but its a flat walk that will take about 15 min. There is a sliding hill at end of the lot just across the way so fun for the kids. The unit had one sled to use but remember to bring your own if you want. You may also want to think about bringing extra towels and/or robes for the hottub. Another really nice feature of the unit was the garage with space for all the gear and hooks to hang everything up. Garage would be good for bikes too in summer. Recommend this unit and hope to repeat.

Enjoyed our stay. Unit was well located. A few minor issues..Not enough adequate lighting in the living room area, making it difficult to sit around and read. One of the lamps was not working, staff took it away to fix it and was never replaced. TV reception in living room was a bit off. Picture or cable feed needs to be fixed. Thanks for your help.

Great Family Holiday Home Base

This lovely home was perfect for our needs. The 5 kids and 4 adults had space to get away from each other and to be together. The kids were totally stoked (ages 7-13)and loved it ,which made our lives easier as the adults! The x-box and hot tub were big hits with us all.

The only thing that would have made our stay better would be more single beds... our adult/kid, male/female configuration would have slept better in all single beds. Perhaps that downstairs bedroom could have 2 twin beds.

The ski in-out feature was great. We had a wonderful family holiday! I will suggest this location to any friends headed your way. Many Thanks.

Great Unit and Location!

With 2 families, we had 9 people total (4 adults, 5 kids). The place was just perfect for us.

Everyone got a comfortable bed to sleep in. The downstairs family room was perfect for the kids to lounge and play games while the adults were upstairs in the kitchen/living room area enjoying our conversations without the kids interruptions. Kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed to cook all our meals for the stay.

Getting to the slopes couldn't be easier. It is literally ski-in/ski-out. The ski trail runs just behind the property so we just hopped on in the morning and then skied right to the place at the end of the day.

We never appreciated the heated garage more until this place. Great place to get ready in the morning and plenty of space to leave your wet equipment to dry overnight. Overall, a perfect ski vacation.

Review - Summer Stay at Woodhave

The unit was fine - we had ample bedrooms, and the living area size was reasonable (although not as large as it looked in the photos) Our main issue was the lack of air conditioning units - it was very warm when we were there and in the afternoon the dining/living area was very hot. We tried getting a cross breeze with patio and back doors opened, and this helped, but there was no screen door so the bugs came in (there were lots of them, especially in the back patio area). so at a minimum a screen door is needed on the back door. The back patio area is quite cramped - okay for 3 or 4 to sit around, but not much more. And in any case, the bugs made it difficult. The bedroom off the kitchen was really warm in the morning when the sun came up. The upstairs bedrooms with the fans were better, but still warm.

Having not been to Sun Peaks before in the non ski season, and especially being there in June, there was not a lot to do. Many of the shops, restaurants were closed, as was the gondola.

The kitchen was well supplied, and the dishwasher, washer dryer all worked fine. The TV in the living room is a bit high for viewing - but we weren't really into a lot of TV time. Nice having the games available.

I am sure the unit is more suitable in the winter, when the heat and the bugs are not an issue. So I might recommend in the winter, but not likely in the summer.

Had some problem receiving the check in instructions, but the manager was great at solving the IT issue and made sure I received the information. We left a little before the 10am checkout, so had to take our garbage down the hill with us - would prefer that the cost of dealing with the garbage is factored into the cost of the unit, so we wouldn't have had to deal with the hassle of traveling with large bags of garbage.

Hope this doesn't sound like a lot of whining - we did enjoy our stay, had good family time. But some room for improvements as noted. Thanks for asking for feedback.

Spacious, Practical, Bright, Clean

Excellent layout. Bright and spacious. The extra "living room" downstairs was perfect for the teens. Nice big dinner table. Comfortable living room with large leather sofas. Washrooms supplied with bars of soap and shampoo (not all places provide soap). Lots of room in garage to hang wet ski gear. Kitchen pots/pans lacking when cooking for 9 people. 2 more large pots, and a large frying pan desperately needed plus a teapot. Housekeeping needs to provide more than one dishcloth with 9 people staying for one week and please don't provide the dirty kitchen sponge from the last stay. For the cost we'd like a fresh one please. Easy fix to make this one of the best places we've stayed Sun Peaks.

Comfortable , cozy townhouse

We really liked the functional floor plan of this unit. We did find some things lacking that have always been provided in the past 10 years we've been vacationing in Sun Peaks. Things such as; aluminum foil, plastic wrap, food storage containers, a large frying pan & large baking pans that are essential when cooking for 10 people.

There are a few squeaky doors that need greasing & the ensuite shower curtain liner needs to be bleached. The garage floor was very dirty & resulted in grit getting tracked inside. With 9 of us skiing, it makes more sense to have the garage key pad working rather than entering through the front door, tracking in dirt.

We have stayed at Woodhaven many times & really enjoy the units.

Ski Week at Sun Peaks

Overall the unit was perfect for us. However upon arrival we found one single bed was broken with the broken frame stored in the garage and the mattress on the floor of the bedroom ( not quite "deluxe" accommodation.). Also the double/bunk bed was kind of wobbly with no roll bar. The gear change in the garage could use a bench or two (to serve 10 people) instead of the two plastic patio chairs. Other than the above items the unit was great.
