Check-in was easy as owner sent all material ahead of time. Several hot tubs allowed to accommodate a big Thanksgiving crowd. Although there is some wear and tear, the apartment is fully functional, spacious, conveniently located, and obviously kept up. Excellent response time by owner when we had a question. Highly recommend the apartment.

Another great stay for a week and a bit of biking. Very happy to have the pool finished. Perfect amount of room for our group of four. We were there during the great heat wave. Despite no air conditioning we managed with the 3 fans in the unit. Once the temp went back to 30 deg or so it was just fine. Appreciated the fully stocked kitchen. Thanks again for a great location for a really fun Summer trip!

The Eagle Suite is roomy and comfortable. The proximity of the suite in the building makes it extremely convenient to access it from the lobby, parking or from the outside. The kitchen has everything you would need for cooking for meal prep. The bedrooms were perfectly sized and contained comfortable beds. The owners were very responsive.

One of the best suites that we have rented in Whistler. Very convenient use of space. Good size bedrooms, so nice to have 2 full baths. Cozy common area and three large TVs, which my husband and sons liked a lot! Great location. Underground parking. Easy access to everywhere, yet peaceful surroundings. The unit was sparkling clean. Perfect for our family of four.

We arrived in Whistler just as the ski hill shut down due to Covid-19. The unit was spotlessly clean and had one of the best equipped kitchens we have ever had in Whistler. We look forward to hopefully returning next year. We very much appreciated the owners flexibility and support in a difficult time.

Owners are fantastic and accommodating...Great condo...perfect location, comfortable beds (i did not want to get up in the mornings!!), four adults and was not crowded at all, love the location to ski valet....only (and very minor) drawbacks would be location to front door of building can get noisy at times and lack of well stocked grocery store so bring your own if possible....perfect value for the money

Our group has for many years have rented units at the aspens. This year were were lucky enough to get both of the Herrera's ground floor units. They give our group close access to the other units & were on the ground floor . This unit was located next to the ski valet so it made it a easy knock on the door for our team to pick up folks heading out to the mountain . The elevator issues during the week in the building did not cause our team stress as both units were on the ground floor . Thanks again for a great vacation .

I have visited Whistler many times ion the Winter, but not for 16 years now, and I was always a bit envious of the people stopping at The Aspens as I boarded past it on the way down to Blackcomb Base. My wife and I stayed at the condo in September and had a great time; the condo is in great condition, very comfortable and the best instruction manual I have ever seen at any condo!
The hot tubs and pool on the complex were great, the shuttle dropped of a couple of minutes walk away, but we usually walked down to Blackcomb Base, and followed the trail into Whistler in about 12 minutes. Although only two of us, this condo would be great for two couples or a family of four.

My family has stayed at quite a few different suites in the Aspens since we love the ski-in/ ski-out convenience of the development as well as the pool and hot tub amenities. The Bald Eagle Suite was very conveniently located within the complex for easy access to both the pool and the slopes without having to use the elevators.
The suite itself feels very homey and is loaded with items that we do not often encounter in other similar suites such as boot warmers, fans, a safe, and board games. The kitchen was also very well stocked with plenty of (matching) dishes and cups as well as a number of Pyrex containers with lids for food prep and leftovers.
The owners have definitely decorated with the bald eagle theme in mind, which is a nice touch. All the decor is firmly affixed to the walls or on a high mantle out of the reach of small children, so families can truly relax here.
The owners were great to deal with and provided a comprehensive binder with lots of information about the suite, the complex and Whistler in general. We had a very relaxing enjoyable stay at the Bald Eagle Suite and would be happy to return to it in the future.

Great suite in great condition in a great location! The Aspens is our favorite complex in the Upper Village. True ski-in/ski out and steps to the Blackcomb base, great hot tubs, underground parking, etc. The suite was also in a great location within the complex...close to the lobby, ski valet, and pools.
The suite itself was well-equipped and had lots of little touches that aren't standard in other units: garbage disposal, boot dryer, blu-ray player, extra kitchen utensils, multiple flat screen TVs, plenty of bedding, blankets, etc. Can't wait to stay again.

Yekaterina from Seattle, United States
Date: Mar-02-2019 for a stay in Feb 2019
There were some minor issues with our stay:
- Both of our toilets were extremely clogged when we arrived. The toilet in the master bathroom was unusable and we had to wait until day 4 of 5 for someone to come out and unclog it. The other toilet also had problems, and for a short period of time, we were using the restroom in the hotel lobby. That became too irritating and we went ahead and tried to unclog it ourselves.
- There was mold in the tea kettle (yuck -- good thing I looked prior to making hot water)
- There were dirty towels hanging in the bathroom when we arrived.
I've stayed at the Aspens many many times over the past 20 or so years, and the ski valet still bugs me. The line in the morning can sometimes be unbearable, and in the middle of the day, the employee is nowhere to be found. I'd love to see the Aspens do away with the ski check and just have a locker room for the guests like some other resorts on the mountain.
Overall though, it is a great location and we will come back!

2nd time for renting this unit. The new mattresses were a big hit. We rented 3 units this year & this unit offers a great location for gathering our team as its next to the ski valet. One of the evening our team decided to cook at the condo. This unit is nicely supplied for doing just that, and with the extended leaves in the table we had no issues seating 12 for dinner.
Looking forward to returning next year . Thanks you Herrera family for the use of your condo again this year

Great place to stay. We were there for a father and sons mountain biking trip at the end of the bike park season. The hot tubs were perfect after a day of biking and the room was located with easy access as it was on the ground floor.
Our bikes could be stored and locked just outside our room and it was only a quick 5min ride to the lifts. We could also easily walk to either Blackcombe or Whistler Village for restaurants and shopping.
The room worked well for us and the beds were comfortable. No fighting over what to watch as there were TV's in each room. Same for the showers and bathroom as there were two. Kitchen seemed to have everything we needed and all appliances worked well.
I would stay here again as the rates were very reasonable for a 2 bedroom place. You can park on site for a fee but in late Sept you can park out on the street as we were able to find space only a few minutes away by foot. Looking forward to more trips.

Once again we and our traveling companions enjoyed our four night stay at this property. We will definitely return to this unit or one of the other two that we have also stayed at over the past couple of years.
This particular unit is close to the pool area but in a secluded corner with easy access to the circular driveway at the entrance. The unit is equipped with the necessities of life; such as a coffee maker, bottle opener and cork screw!! Of course it has all the kitchen ware needed for preparing your own meals if you are not out in the village sampling the wonderful menus that each venue offers.
We didn't bike this time because of the rain but we did manage a paddle down the River of Golden Dreams as well as a hike to Rainbow and Hanging Lakes. We are looking forward to our next trip to Whistler!

The Aspens is a great location on Blackcomb and walkable to village shops and restaurants. We were traveling with children so we appreciated the easy access to the pool area. We had great hot weather and would have appreciated a portable air conditioner.
The unit was very well equipped, the only thing we lacked was a BBQ. It was a bit strange that there were empty propane tanks so maybe the BBQ is missing? We would certainly book this unit again.

Overall a very nice unit, the king size bed was comfortable. On those plus 30 hot days it does get a little warm inside because it's west facing. Also too bad parking wasn't included in the price like other whistler condos that we have stayed at, $17 per day is a little steep.
2 minor problems, the coffee maker didn't work at all, it felt like sludge at the bottom of water reservoir, someone previously must have placed coffee in the wrong place. Also we couldn't get the dishwasher to work,it kept on switching off after a few seconds.

Great unit, best ski in/ski-out location on Blackcomb (closest to the upper village & lifts). Unit was large enough for our group (3 adults and 2 children) and the kitchen had plenty of gear to make all of our meals. A short 10 minute walk to the lower village; it's quite nice to stay in the quieter upper village and take in the lower village when you want to.
The only minor complaint we would have would be that there is no air-conditioning in this unit and it can get quite hot (we stayed in late Spring); I would recommend a portable air conditioner perhaps.
We would definitely stay in this unit and complex again, and hope to in the near future.

Great ski in- Ski out location, this unit is the closest room in the condo building to the ski valet and thus the closest to the mountain for ski purposes. We needed a scrub brush for dishes and a call to the cleaning person responded in 15 minutes. Front desk personnel pleasant and helpful. Just a few minor items. Kitchen needs a few more cereal types bowls, just 5 in stock, shower head in the general bathroom is extremely loud.

This was the 1st time using the Herrera property. It did not disappoint . Being on the 1st floor gave a easy access to the mountain. The owners went out of their way to make us happy. Greatly appreciated, The beds were wonderful , in other units prior we found some like sleeping on the floor. However this was not the case here. The Kitchen was the best equipped of the 3 aspens units we rented that week.
One piece of advice , the mat just inside the front door kept allowing the door to stick open so make sure you check entering & leaving the unit that its closed. The only downside to the week was the aspens facility's pool under construction that some times blocked access to the ski valet & made it noisy during the day (again not the owners fault).
Thank you for a wonderful week.

The check in was beyond easy. I work for a property management company, with many units. I still chose this, and was glad I did.
Cleanliness was perfect. I could say it's a bit out of the local hub, but it's only a 10 minute walk away and when you are on vacation, especially in Whistler... That's probably what you want. Close enough to be convenient, but far enough away from the "party scene" that you won't notice it going on at those off hours. The owners responded immediately, and the suite was actually a lot better than expected. The pics don't do it full justice. Put my relatives up here, and would do it again if it's available.
The building amenities are great, the pool was fantastic and I like the aspect of secure bike storage and parking. BBQ's are available, however the kitchen has everything you may need. TV's in the room, WI-FI, and lots of room for people.
Will definitely recommend and utilize this unit in the future. I work for a local property management company and we have many units. I can be very picky and was quite impressed with this. My boss probably wasn't by going to "outside the company" units, but this fit the budget and delivered much much more than expected for its price.
Takes the pressure off of me when relatives visit in the future. Thanks Mrs Herrera. Jason Tonin.

We stayed with a family of 5 and felt the condo was spacious enough to accommodate all of us. It was clean, comfortable and the kids enjoyed the pool. The location was convenient, quiet, and an easy walk down Blackcomb Mountain to get to the village. It is also a great location to walk or bike ride from to get to Lost Lake.
Kitchen was a bit tight, but fine for one person at a time. Somethings that would be appreciated would be to include extra dish cloths in the kitchen and enough toiletries (shampoo, body wash, soap, etc.) for all guests (we were given enough for only 2 people and front desk would not supply us with more).
Overall, we would recommend this condo and would be happy to stay there again.

Hi folfs. Thank you for a good visit. As regular Aspen's visitors, we rented your suite largely because of the excellent late season value, which was certainly provided. I thought that the unit would be somewhat noisy due to it's location beside the ski check (and near a main hallway). These concerns proved to be unfounded.
The unit was clean, cozy, and well located, although there was some discomfort at night in the master suite as it sounded like a bathroom fan had been left turned on in the suite above. Obviously nothing that you as owners can do to prevent that. Beds very comfortable, linens nice, lots of good supplies in the kitchen. The glove warmer very nice, as was the art on the walls. Sturdy but attractive 'ski cabin' chairs and furniture, lots of places for the suitcases in the bedroom.
A few minor points which could help others. Obviously the fridge door is the major issue as it cannot be opened even half way without hitting the corner wall on the right hand side. This is creating wall/corner damage as well as dings on the fridge door. Hard to access items in the fridge properly and with comfort. Small point,in the secondary bathroom the door stop is missing, thus the bathroom door comes into the baseboard heater when opening. Finally, it would be nice if the slide type window shades (covering the patio doors in living room) worked properly. They stick like crazy, and only by gently working the shade panels by hand can the shades be retracted.
Other than these small things, all very good. The unit obviously shows the sense pride of pride and ownership which you bring to the property. Again, a nice clean, well maintained property property which gave us the good location and value that we were looking for on this trip.

We especially appreciated the detailed instruction booklet and attention to details in the condo. The hooks for coats in the entry is nice; also, the hooks under the mantle to dry gloves by the fireplace are great. The lighting is much better than other Aspen condos we've stayed in and we appreciated that; the condo is nicely maintained. (A couple of suggestions needing attention: the shower door in 2nd bath wasn't sliding properly, and the living room blinds for the window and patio door need repair.)

Summer stay for Seattle family including couple with teen son and grandmother. The Aspens is perfect spot for each of us to do things together or split up. Super easy run down the hill for family-friendly activities and services of the Upper Village (=Blackcomb) or ~10 min walk to busier main Whistler Village. No car needed once you're there.
This unit (Chili Pepper) is on the ground floor right off the lobby. There's some noise from the pool. Condo had nearly all we needed. If you're going to eat in the condo - whether making simple breakfast or dinner or packing lunches for your day's outings - bring small amounts of basics like oil, salt/pepper/other spices, condiments, etc so you don't need to buy those silly small things in Whistler.
Condo had 1 packet of coffee and 2 tea bags. We brought pasta, cereals, oats, bread, cheese, etc from home, but forgot some of those small basics (and the smallest bottle of olive oil at the store was CAD$5.). Pick up other perishables and produce from a grocery store or go to the summer farmer's market Wed & Sun in the Upper Village.

We enjoyed the accommodations, there were a few things that should be mentioned on the listing. Parking is not included and it is $14 plus tax per day, and most guests like us parked on the street which made the check in more difficult. There are no in suite laundry facilities or air conditioning (two fans were provided, one did not work), on the other hand the suite is bigger than other two bedroom suites in newer developments. The bike room is too small for the size of the property and had trouble finding a place to lock our two bikes (no room in the bike room).
It is a lovely place to stay, the kitchen had everything and more! I would disclose the above points so that guests know before hand the additional costs and are prepared to deal with bikes and laundry.

we had a good time and the suite was convenient to both town and the ski lifts. We could walk to Whistler in the evening and ski to lifts in spite of the low snow.
it would have been nicer to have an upper floor room with a better view as this unit is on the ground floor next to the ski valet.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the property was perfect for our family of 4 which included a 7 year old and a 4 month old. It was clean, spacious, had all the equipment for breakfast and meals (we ate dinner in every evening) and was convenient being on the ground floor close to the reception and ski valet service. We would definitely come back again. Peter and Stacey, London, UK.

We had a great time using this unit while in Whistler, the location of the unit and owner exceeded our exceptions. I would use her unit again in a heart beat.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Chile Pepper Suite. Good location, worked well, and we were glad for the quick response on short notice for our last-minute request. The safe did not make any noise during our stay, and Judie let us know that she could be contacted to have the batteries replaced should this be a problem.

There weren't any basis supplies such as salt and pepper, cooking oil, etc. We even had to purchase a cleaning sponge to scrub the pots and pans. Other VRBO properties we had stayed at had basic supplies and some condiments. If we had known, there wouldn't be any condiments whatsoever, we would have brought some up instead of purchasing everything. The safe which was in the bedroom keep on making an annoying noise. We were there during a hot spell, the fans were very noisy and we had trouble sleeping.
