I have stayed at Judie's Aspen units a few times over the years. Aspens might be our favourite building in Whistler. It's hard to beat the location and amenities. Steps to Blackcomb village where there is enough services without the chaos of Whistler village. But the village is only a short walk away or an easy shuttle ride.
The unit is dated but pictures are accurate and price reflects the finishings. But there has been no issues with cleanliness or service. Judie is quick to respond and the check in/out system is excellent. I would rent one of her properties again.

This has a great location, near the base of the Blackcomb Gondola, the condo is comfortable, ample and has what you need for a relaxing vacation; so convenient to stop for lunch and a warm up rest in the middle of a ski day. The complex has some weird regulations about skis so you have to walk 150 ft to give your skis to the valet, whereas the unit is just 20 ft from the slope. Unfortunately one of the hot-tubs, was not working, so the other one was overcrowded, but that was just bad timing. I would definitively recommend it, and will go back to it next time I am in Whistler.

This suite is located on the first floor, next to a stairwell, allowing for very easy access to the outside and parking garage. The elevators in the Aspens are super busy in the morning as everyone is headed to the mountain, so not having to take the elevators was HUGE.
The suite was very clean and had one of the most comfy pull-out sofa beds I've ever slept on. My only complaint was a very weird red scratchy thing that didn't work well as a sponge. I reached out to the owners suggesting a real sponge and they were receptive to the feedback. Great stay! I already booked again for next year.

Awesome property. I have been in the Herrera's "Teddy Bear Suite" several years ago and was impressed. So I had high expectations for this visit to the "Snowman Suite" My high expectations were met!
The condo was very clean. We had all kinds of small amenities such as Lots of paper towels, tissues. Some amount of toiletries. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything that I needed and more. The condo is on the first floor right near the Jacuzzi, but on the quiet side of the building. Very peaceful.
Would absolutely stay here again.

We really enjoy this location and have rented the same unit in the past. It is well equipped, The bed is most comfie. The kitchen is well stocked. Our only complaint would be the couch and chair. They are due for an update as far too soft and have no support. Also missed having an outdoor table this time when I am sure there was one there last year. The building pool and hot tub area is great and access to trails is excellent as well as to the village. Thanks for a good visit!

The place was excellent; both location and amenities. The pool was great, as was the hot tub. Parking, on the other hand was a different story. Instead of being $10-12 a day Canadian it cost us $17.00 a day. A little more than we expected. Maybe they will change their website. I would recommend this property to anyone.

We stayed 4 nights at Aspens unit 1**, aka "Snowman Suite" in March 2018 for an anniversary. Pre-arrival information from owner Judie was thorough and helpful. The unit was sparkling clean, and equipped with everything we needed. This unit is only about 50 steps (through the fitness center) to hot tub #2 and #3, which is handy during the winter. The unit is also very conveniently located near a stairwell that leads down to the parking garage (hint: Park near spot 30-35 if possible). Unit is well stocked with cooking and service wear. King bed was comfortable.
Ski check is provided at the Aspens, though plan to get in line before they open at 8am to get your skis, or you might wait up to 20 minutes. Parking is $17/day additional. Hot tubs were mostly hot and there are 3 which adequately handles the post-ski crowd around 4-5pm. There were some leaves and scum noted in the hot tubs, but not enough to deter us from using them frequently during our stay. Note that hot tubs are only open 10am - 10pm...we headed out for a morning soak on our rest day and couldn't get in as early as we would have liked.
The Aspens is a short walk through the snow along the side of the ski run (at least during winter) to Blackcomb village, and only about 10 minutes along a well marked and lit path to the main Whistler village center. We only used our car once the entire stay, to drive down to a restaurant in Creekside.

This is a cozy, well stocked, large room in a great ski in/out location. The best part was the king bed which we shared with our toddler- surprisingly hard to find when we were looking to book accommodation! There are views of the lift and the Aspens is a cozy well situated resort. The only downside was the pool closure due to maintenance (a bummer for our toddler) but 2/3 hot tubs were still open.
Overall an amazing value compared to other places we looked at and the snowmen were a cute seasonal touch :)

I should declare that the Aspens is pretty much my favorite place to stay in Whistler, it is quiet but still within easy walking distance of the main hub of the village, plus the complex is well managed with good facilities (and ski in/ski out during the season).
Two very minor issues with this rental - 1) the owners do not allow the baseboards to be used due to issues with burning, hence the condo was slow to warm up when we arrived and it was sub zero outside and 2) there was a very low level constant hum (fan from another suite?) for the whole duration of our visit, so this is not ideal for light sleepers.
One very special surprise was how wonderful the view is from the living room in this suite, looking back over the Blackcomb chair lifts framed by the snow capped mountains, truly spectacular.

The suite looks better than photos! It has easy access and amenities are fun. People at the front desk are kind and helpful but the got lost a helmet wallet that we asked to keep for a while
The kitchen is full equipped, for breakfast it's perfect!! Due to the dry summer installations are not as tidy as in a 5 star hotel, but it is acceptable, towels and supplies where provided, which is really helpful for a long stay!
There is a sofa bed that it's comfortable, but the pump to inflate it doesn't work, I emailed the owner but I never got any response
In conclusion it is a great place to stay for 7 - 14 days, and the value vs cost balance is very good!

When we arrived, the condo had not been cleaned- dirty sheets on the floor, no clean sheets or towels available. I left the owner a phone message and emails. I received no response. I found the contact for the housekeeping company in the condo and I contacted them myself. They apologized and came to clean the condo the next day (after having to sleep with no sheets the first night). Still no response or explanation/apology from the condo owners. I won't book with them again.

Our family of 4 had a very nice time at Whistler staying at the Snowman suite. Well equipped kitchen which we used to cook most meals. Everything is quite convenient to the room's location--- the exercise room and hot tub and pool are just 2 doors down so you don't feel like you are going through the lobby like some places. Also liked not having to use the elevators since its on the ground floor. We parked in the garage by Stairwell 1 which was so close to the condo--also just 2 doors down and one flight of stairs. Ski in and ski out. You can see the lift from the condo and you can walk to Blackcomb base/upper village right from the back of the Aspens. You can update your Edge card right at Blackcomb base--if you used one before, they have it stored so you don't even have to take another photo. We drove to Whistler village to eat and shop--parking in the day lots are free after 5 pm. Overall, nice place.

The unit feels a bit closed in - nice to be near the pool etc - would have been helpful to have a note that told us where the quick path to the upper village was located. Also in the kitchen a few basic spices - besides the salt and pepper would have been helpful. If we stayed again it would be in a larger unit on an upper floor - not quite so claustrophobic. It was nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable, and the unit is certainly quiet - which is very nice.

We have stayed at the Aspens many times, but never in a ground floor unit. I didn't think we would like it, primarily due to people noise from the outside courtyard and a lack of view. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this suite. A nice view of the base of Backcomb plus on the quiet side of the building. The unit had very close access to the hot tub and pool area and being on the ground floor meant no elevators or stairs except for coming up from the parking garage.
The new wood laminate floors were very nice and the recent remodel in the Aspens gave a much needed refresh to the hallways. Only a couple of things to note on the slightly negative side. The kitchen is dated. It's clean and everything is functional, so not a concern for us. We'd rather not pay more for an update! Also, the hallway outside the unit can be noisy in the evening until the hot tubs and pool close at 10pm. The entrance to the building from the hot tub and closest to the slopes is right across the hall. However, it was very quiet after 10pm.
