Another very enjoyable stay in the Raven Penthouse

This was our second family stay in the Raven Penthouse, and once again, we luxuriated in the spacious comfort of this beautiful condo.

We particularly love the layout, with a large, open living space which allows plenty of room for children to be active when indoors, and space for everyone to spread out. We also enjoy the bedrooms on either side of the living space, creating an aura of privacy for different family groups. The bathrooms are large and the steam showers a delightful luxury. Housekeeping responded promptly when needs arose. Thank you again, Rachael and Rob!

Great penthouse for a family or group

Our party of six including one small child had a wonderful time at the Raven Penthouse. Very spacious, very comfy beds, hot showers that never run out, clean and warm! We especiallt loved the hot tub with a view and the ski in ski out! Rachael and Rob were really great to deal with and we are already planning our next trip back!

This place was great space of our annual Big White ski trip. While it sleeps many more, as a group of 4 where everyone wants their own room this place had the best choice of rooms we've seen. Usually we have someone who gets a lesser room but all of these rooms had something to offer. The location allows you to ski in at the end of the day with just a short walk to the lifts.

Our home is modern, stylish and extremely comfortable with much attention paid to detail. It is fully equipped to enable you to have exactly the kind of holiday that you are looking for. There is great open living space for family time and entertaining and areas for those who want private space. Private space for Kids - could be the bunk bedroom  (Double bed over Queen-size and Single over Single) with beanbags and TV with games console. Adults can enjoy 'time out' with a glass of wine on one of the two private decks, or in the steaming hot tub under the stars. There is a 3rd TV in one of the master bedrooms providing an additional quiet and private space. If you love cooking a fully equipped Gourmet kitchen has just about all the equipment you'd have at home and probably more! There is a full sized pool table, loads of sofa space for relaxing by the fire and a huge wall mounted plasma screen TV and stereo. There are also bar stools at the breakfast bar if you'd rather chat and share a drink with the chef. En-suite bathrooms have warm cork floors, and large glass panelled steam shower enclosures. This Penthouse has 2 private & reserved car parking spots and 2 secure lockable Ski storages for guest use.

Location

The Raven is a short walk away from the Happy Valley Adventure area and Lodge. Happy Valley is a perfect location, it's lots of fun and central offering many non-skiing activities including the huge outdoor Skating rink. The Raven is a short walk to the Gondola which will take you (in just 5 minutes) to the village where you'll find many restaurants, the kids centre and the ski/board school. You are also within easy walking distance of the Mega Coaster tube rides and Cross Country Trails. There are fabulous mountain views from the Penthouse at The Raven and from Happy Valley.

Ski-in, Ski-out - you'll have direct Ski-in access to the ground level of The Raven. Ski-out simply requires leaving the building entrance and a short walk across the road or a walk downhill to the Gondola depending on snow coverage. On a good day you can put your skis on as soon as you have left The building entrance and crossed over the road.

Cancellations Made by Guests All payments are non-refundable. If we can replace your booking, we will issue a refund by cheque. Please note that your booking is made directly with the property owner who is based in the UK. Any refund of any booking fee is subject to a 30% deduction, this is to cover both credit card processing and Canadian taxes which are deducted at the point of any booking payment being made.

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Will be passed on to you or deducted from your damage deposit. Cleaning associated with defacing the property, or above the standard fees is considered property damage.
Excessive Noise Complaints of excessive noise will result in eviction without refund of any payment. Please be considerate toward your neighbours
Garbage Removal Guests are responsible for garbage removal at the time of departure. Waste disposal & Recycling containers are located on site in the parking garage.

Locking Door Guests are required to securely lock all doors and entrances when they are not in the unit or upon departure.

Maximum Sleeping Capacity 12 people. Additional persons will result in immediate eviction
Missing Items Guests will be charged for replacement of missing items noticed by housekeeping after thier departure. We will notify you in advance of any charges or deductions from damage deposit.
Noise Restrictions Quiet time is 11.00pm to 7.00am. Guests may be evicted subsequent to noise complaints and will be charged for any damages resulting from the noise complaints. The outdoor hot tub area may be used after 11.00pm, but please engage only in quiet conversation after 11.00pm out of respect for neighbouring guests.
Policy Updates Policies are subject to change without notice, however guest will be notified via e-mail of changes prior to their arrival.
Property Damage Guest assumes all financial responsibility for property damage incurred by tenants or guests & charge on thier card upon departure in the event of property damage. We may require a damage deposit. By accepting our guest stay contract with online payment you agree to pay us for all damages that you incur. Damage includes, but is not restricted to: noise complaints, common or private property damage, excessive cleaning charges, lost or broken or missing common or private property, unauthorised pets inside the property, evidence of smoking inside the property and all charges relating to securety company or police involvement regarding property occupant's behaviour while in the property or on common premises.

Property Details

Very spacious 2,111 square foot Penthouse with 2 private balconies facing towards the mountains. All rooms are on one level being the 4th floor with the most elevated views from the building. Two Master bedrooms have private ensuites with steam shower rooms.  The Queen bedroom at the front looks across the balcony and toward the Monashees, and bedroom 4 is directly opposite the main family bathroom as you enter the Condo. There are 2 secure parking spots and 2 ski lockers. The kitchen, dining and living areas with inset fireplace and wall mountain large screen plasma TV, is huge with high vaulted ceiling and oversized windows.  Penthouses of this size and quality are a rare find on Big White mountain.

A huge and very bright open plan area with high vaulted ceilings and tall windows from which to admire a truly magnificent view. A relaxing central area with large comfy leather sofas in front of a roaring flame fire. Wall mounted very large screen plasma TV above the fireplace. There is a stereo (I-pod compatible) and plenty of space to kick off your shoes and put your feet up. A full sized pool table and wet bar is at the far side for further entertainment.

The dining area sits comfortably between the large living space and the Kitchen. A beautiful large solid wood table with leather seating for family and friends holiday celebrations and gatherings.

About Us

Hi,

We travelled to Big White in June 2007 from the UK when we heard all about Big White through friends at home.  The minute we stepped foot on the mountain we knew instantly that this would satisfy all our holiday expectations - pure escapism,  magical surroundings, great activities and facilities.  We were so impressed with the Raven itself that, to cut a long story short, we decided we'd love to have a little piece of this luxury of our own. We think it's one of the best places we've stayed and we hope that you'll feel the same!  Happy Valley enjoys breathtaking mountain views and is peacefully located just below the village - everything is very easy to get to.  We chose our penthouse because we love to holiday in places where we can be as relaxed and as comfortable as we are at home.  Secure parking and internet access are vital for us as sadly work always travels with us!  We also like to know that we can have everything we need close to hand. We believe that our penthouse provides all of this and much more.  Not forgetting of course the fantastic champagne powder and exclusive access to the Ravens indoor pool and gym!
