We had a wonderful stay at the Bauhinia! Loved the large main floor living area with lots of seating and the fact that all 3 bedrooms were on the top floor. Ski-in/ski-out was easy and the view from the hot tub was beautiful! We got 20 cm of snow our first night, so had a great few days of skiing plus snowshoeing on the nearby trails. We'll be back for sure. Thanks for having us!

This was a great place for two families. The location is great with ski in and ski out option, and it's a short walk (uphill) to the Village or a short walk (downhill) to the Happy Valley. The place is clean. The kitchen is well equipped, but bring your own oil and sugar. Coffee maker is in good shape. The dishwasher is old and loud, but still in working condition. Overall, I would stay here again.

Repeat stay at this amazing property

Kelly from Richmond, Canada
Date: Feb-16-2021 for a stay in Feb 2021

This was our second year at this property and it did not disappoint. Such a good location, ski in and out. Completely appreciate that the Thule does not have to come off our SUV to park in the garage! The house is super clean, the kitchen well stocked (garlic press, rice cooker, martini shaker, blender and all of the other little things some rentals are missing) and our family loves the open concept of the main floor. There is a large dining table that is great for a puzzle at one end and family dinners at the other. I would definitely recommend this rental.

Beautiful duplex, convenient ski - in ski - out location. Kitchen was equipped with everything you will need for daily cooking. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious and clean. Living area had lots of seating. Garage had room for 3 cars. Would love to stay at this place again.

Kiwi Jenny

Jenny from Auckland, New Zealand
Date: Mar-09-2020 for a stay in Feb 2020

We loved this Ski Chalet. The only tiny negative was that the kitchen bench space was a little small when 9 adults all trying to organise breakfasts at once. The spa pool was wonderfull and looking out at the heavily snow clad roofs and gondola passing in background was very pretty. Overall we had an awesome stay and would definitely use this property again. Cheers, Jenny.

Great Two Family Rental

Karra from Bothell, United States
Date: Feb-24-2020 for a stay in Feb 2020

The house was perfect for our two families - four adults and four kids (teens and pre-teens). Great location with easy ski-in/out and access to the village center. The kitchen was well-appointed, so making our own meals was a breeze. We weren't lacking for anything. The only thing that might be of concern for some families is that there was not a bathroom on the main living room/kitchen floor. Don't worry, there are plenty of bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, just not on the middle floor.

Great ski in/out home

Kelly from Richmond, Canada
Date: Feb-18-2020 for a stay in Feb 2020

Great home located just beside the gondola so easy access to ski in/out. Perfect home for a couple families to share. Kitchen was well stocked with kitchenware, coffee grinder, espresso machine etc. Home was very clean. We did appreciate that we fit 3 trucks in the garage as there is no driveway or street parking. I was even able to keep my Thule on.

We own a condo on hill bit not big enough for our extended family celebration so we rented this one. It is very well appointed, easy access to runs, extremely spacious and covers all the bases for a ski hill. I would highly recommend this to anyone

A Very Nice Place to Stay!

Raymond from Coquitlam, Canada
Date: Apr-01-2019 for a stay in Mar 2019

Very nice chalet, roomy with a nice layout, fireplaces, furnishings and great location. Especially liked the 10 person dining table, kitchen amenities, and 3 1/2 bathrooms. The hot tub was also great, though its lights didn't work much. The master bedroom fireplace didn't work the 1st 3 nights and there was a bad leak in the ensuite roof on sunny afternoons, but the fireplace was fixed by our 4th night and, hopefully, the roof leak will be sometime soon.

Management responded quickly to most issues. Thank-you for a very nice stay!

This was great property for our annual ski week with the guys. Location was great and ski in/out was a piece of cake. Kitchen could use some new knives or a sharpener? The gas range was a delight to cook on as we ate every meal there. BBQ was good for our extensive meat menu.

I had requested an air mattress a month and a half previous to arrival as we needed an extra bed and was impressed that when we arrived, there it was.....all without ever touching base with them again. 3 car garage is a bonus. All in all, compared to other properties in the area, I believe this is one offers excellent value. All the guys commented how great it was as well.

A great month at Big White

Wayne from Perth, Australia
Date: Feb-22-2019 for a stay in Jan 2019

We were a group of 7 adults from Perth and Kojonup in Western Australia. We arrived late January for 4 weeks. For 4 of us it was our 4th trip to Big White (the other 3 were 1st timers). We have a list of must have requirements when looking for accommodation in the snow and Bauhinia ticked all our boxes. The location to the village and ski in/out was great and the overall size and comfort of the place was excellent - especially the living room /dining /kitchen.

Matt and Sean were very helpful prior to our arrival and Sean was very responsive during our stay. We all had a great time and would definitely recommend Bauhinia to anyone looking for a great quality well appointed chalet at Big White.

Just had 9 nites with another family and we had a great time. This property had plenty of room, great kitchen and living area and so close to the ski runs. The spa at the end of the day was a dream with a beautiful view. We had everything we wanted and more. Very happy to recommend!

Family fun in Big White

April from Sammamish, United States
Date: Feb-25-2018 for a stay in Feb 2018

House was perfect! Our only suggestion would be that hot tub service guy would knock and enter through the front door / side door instead of the garage. Even though we knew he would be coming it was kind of unexpected that he would just walk through the garage.

Fantastic location

Cindy from Abbotsford, Canada

This was our second time staying at the chalet. It has a great location, halfway between the village and happy Valley just steps from the skiers road. Itâ??s any easy walk back up to the village or down to enjoy the amenities at happy valley.

The chalet has lots of space for large groups, and the kitchen is very well equipped although we could have used another frying pan and some sharper knives. The living room has lots of seating and the new couch is very comfortable. We will definitely book this chalet again.

3 years and counting

graeme from williams lake, Canada
Date: Mar-13-2017 for a stay in Mar 2017

just as good or better than last year, lots of room for 8-10 people if you share sleeping spaces, a tight squeeze into the garage with a large truck, the entrance dry room area for skis and boots is a bit cramped for a large party of 8 or more, the few things of concern from last year were dealt with, a big overhanging cornice above the outside stairs was a safety concern, a great view from the hot tub, clean and tidy and everything worked except they need to replace the back door handle and lockset which is broken, however we will return again for a 4th year and hope it's fixed by then .

The Bauhinia Chalet was perfect! Its has a very large kitchen and living area with lots of room for everyone. We had 10 people and it did not feel crowded at all! Its is very modern and comfortable with everything you need and more! Perfect ski in/out location and very short walk to the village. There are large windows in the living room and main bedroom which makes enjoying the view and location even easier. AMAZING value for money! We didn't want to leave and hope that we can return one day. Would 100% recommend to everyone!!

Great place - Second time there and will likely return. Wendy is very responsive if anything comes up. The jacuzzi maintenance man walks in every couple of days unannounced. As some members of our group were home during the day, I would prefer if he knocked first. An excellent family holiday overall.

Great stay at the end of January 2017

Theresa from KAMLOOPS, Canada
Date: Feb-04-2017 for a stay in Jan 2017

Really great stay. We come every year and would use this accommodation again. Hot tub is a great size. Kitchen and living space have lots of room. A few small negatives include the light to the basement hall being connected to the downstairs den. If using this as a bedroom it's hard to sleep in if you're not skiing that day. And that there is no bathroom on the main floor is a little annoying. I guess just more excersice for us! See you next year :)

Fantastic vacation, couple very small issues

Travis from Kelowna, Canada
Date: Jan-16-2017 for a stay in Jan 2017

We had an amazing stay here, overall everything was what you hope for when booking a vacation online. Location is great, if you're walking up to the village/gondola it is 5-10 minutes all uphill, but easy on a groomed trail. The view from the living room, master suite, and hot tub is second to none, watching the fireworks on Saturday night from the hot tub was a special moment. Very spacious, beautiful kitchen. We had 3 vehicles in the garage, including a 4 door short box pick up truck, but in doing so you lose the use of the storage lockers. Not much for driveway parking, and road parking is prohibited. If there was anything I had to say that needed improvement about this place it would be the extra slow draining bathtub in the master room, the bathrooms are a little dated for such a gorgeous residence, and the lack of a bathroom on the main floor. Also the booking process and not being able to check in until 4pm but having to be out by 10am is a little frustrating. All in all very happy with our stay, would go back and would recommend to anyone.

Cindy from Abbotsford, Canada

We had a great weekend, the chalet had everything we needed. After we arrived we couldn't find the bedding for the hide -a- beds, but after a quick call to housekeeping, they came by and dropped them off. They we surprisingly comfortable!

The ski in/out was good, we had no problem getting back after happy hour at Sessions. Just a "quick " ride up the plaza chair and your back home! I would definitely rent this chalet again.

better the second time around

graeme from williams lake, Canada
Date: Mar-09-2016 for a stay in Mar 2016

Second year there, great ski in'out location, hot tub fits 4-6 adults with a good view and clear sight line to the big screen tv in the living room; clean, comfortable and spacey but not fancy, new mattress on the pullout downstairs but the frame springs still broken so it might be better to put mattress on the floor, lots of bedding, dishwasher finicky to start and sometimes didn't totally drain and left an " of water in the base, bbq seemed to only operate on high temp so maybe needs a cleanup, cheap garbage bags for under the sink were a nuisance when cleaning up after meals.

Didn't need to use any of the extra utensils we took, but if you have a favourite big knife for cutting/ cooking take it with you, and some condiments and kitchen extras were provided (S/P/sugar, tin foil, etc). Lots of dishes and glasses to handle 10 guests. A bit of a concern with a leak in the roof above the main bdrm onsuite, should be dealt with sooner than later this spring.

We will return next year if our group size doesn't outgrow the space.

Big White Ski Trip, February 2016

Delinda from Saskatoon, Canada
Date: Feb-22-2016 for a stay in Feb 2016

We had an amazing time at Big White for our week long holiday. This was our second visit to Big White and the Bauhinia Chalet was a far better accommodation choice and in a much better location than where we stayed on our first visit two years ago. We loved that we could stay with another family and not feel like we were in each other's way.

The house was perfectly positioned alongside the Happy Valley Trail, allowing us to ski down to the gondola with each outing. Our teenage kids very much enjoyed the freedom of coming and going as needed, and as parents, we were comforted knowing they could easily gain access to the house on their return.

The house was truly amazing. It was large enough to comfortably fit the nine of us in our party, and there was room for more if needed. We loved the open plan living area, which allowed us to interact with ease. The kitchen in particular was a great size easily fitting several people at one time, and the lounge area provided ample seating for all to sit comfortably. The beds were great as was the hot tub, both of which provided us with that much needed relaxation after a day of skiing and snowboarding.

We had a wonderful week. The whole process from booking to the stay was easy. The staff were very helpful and accommodated our needs, ensuring we had what we needed for our holiday.

We recommend the Bauhinia Chalet to anyone wanting a fun filled ski or snowboarding holiday. Should we return to Big White for another visit, we will book the Bauhinia Chalet again.

Thank you so very much.

great weather and good snow

graeme from williams lake, Canada
Date: Mar-14-2015 for a stay in Mar 2015

Clean and spacious, large cooking, dining and relaxing area dominate the main floor, comfortable leather couches (1 a pullout that we didn't try) and a good tv; bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs, not fancy but comfortable, dishwasher poorly designed and somewhat annoying in that it doesn't 'fit' the dishes / glasses but it does clean them, not my 'grandmothers china' and utensils but it is a rental property, we didn't lack for anything but take any extra's or specific utensils/pots you might need with you just in case, no microwave or griddle, prompt replacement of the broken coffee maker saved the stay; garage space for 3 vehicles but tight and doesn't fit an extended cab pu without leaving door open, which you're not supposed to do; not a lot of space at entry for ski/boot storage for a large party (we were 8), downstairs pullout/ mattress a lost cause, was more comfortable to sleep on the floor and didn't try to make the old tv in that room work.

1 minute walk to the ski run down to the village gondola so no complaints there, nice hottub and great view from it. Overall a 7.5 out of 10 but it's the 7.5 u need and we would return.

Excellent Location.

John from Fort Langley, Canada
Date: Mar-21-2015 for a stay in Feb 2015

We have stayed at this place for a third year in a row. Excellent location. Would like to come back next year. The only complaint we have is about 'sofa-bed' in downstairs den. It's been in very bad shape for last two years: broken and missing springs, very very uncomfortable, some of us had actually slept on the floor instead on so called sofa bed. It would be nice if this piece of furniture could be replaced / renewed. Other than that we recommend this property as one of the best in Big White. For sure we'll try and book it next year.
