Welcome to Schleppes Mountain Lodge. This Beautiful Log House offers plenty of room for your large family gatherings while giving everyone their own space! Located just before the village, you'll find privacy on your huge wrap around deck that allows you to take in the tranquillity of the surrounding forest-scape. A short walk up the road to ski-out to the Sunburst Chair and ski-in on the cat track behind the opposite houses. Clip off boots and walk across the road. Leave the your skis in the large mudroom and head for the huge open-concept kitchen, complete with breakfast bar island and wood plank dining table. Send the kids upstairs to the TV/Games loft while enjoying a glass of wine by the fireplace in the spacious great room. Unwind in the 8 person hot tub amidst the snow covered trees looking up into an abyss of stars. An absolutley amazing experience on a huge treed lot!

Be advised that rates are based on a maximum of 12 adults. If maximum is reached, then 3 children. Any other combination of adults and children to a maximum of 15 people. Extra charges apply if over and above the maximum allowed.

Property Description

Enter into the main floor mudroom where there are plenty of drying hooks and complete with washer/dryer. This floor has a convenient mainfloor bedroom with Queen bed and armoire for easy unpacking. It is situated right beside the main bathroom with full size tub/shower and double sinks. All extra linen and towels are stored here for easy access. The large kitchen has plenty of counter space, huge pantry and tons of cupboards to store all your groceries. The open concept features a breakfast bar island next to the huge wood plank table in the dining area and opens to the great room.

Upstairs is a Queen master bedroom adjoining the large jaccuzzi tub bathroom. Complete with separate shower and separate vanity. Down the hall is the open loft featuring 2 double futon couches in the living room area separated by a double bed nook! The flat screen tv and dvd make a perfect hang out for gaming or childrens play area. The basement floor features 2 sets of single bunk beds and double bed adjoined by a half bath. This is your access to the hot tub. Pick your fresh hot tub towels on the way out the door!

Living Area

Gather around the beautiful rock fireplace to visit and unwind after a great ski day! This large room is open to the kitchen and dining area to allow a natural flow while visiting. Huge windows and french doors that open onto the deck give you that added space and beautiful treed view. The layout of this chalet had long sightlines and ease of movement for guests to enjoy!

The Dining Area features a large woodplank table perfect for large family meals or those epic card games that only surface during the holidays. With 2 large benches that seat up to 5 on each side and shorter benches that will fit 2 small seats on each end - enjoy good food and lots of fun! There is additional seating right beside the dining table at the breakfast bar for the extras!!

Four hours from Vancouver and 45 minutes from Kamloops. Take Highway 5 North and exit onto Tod Mountain Road in Heffly Creek, BC. Drive past Whitecroft and pass the firehall on the left and information hut on the right. Turn left onto Sunburst Drive and your first right leads you into Schleppes Mountain Lodge. This is the last left turn before the village, so if you see the Burfield or Daylodge - you've gone too far!! Super easy to get to!!

Suitability & Eligibility Policies

Our lodge is a family-oriented lodge and we make every effort to screen our bookings for family-minded groups. We absolutely discourage large groups of adults to book our lodge for the purpose of a 2 or 3 day party. This is not the intent of Schleppes Mountain Lodge and we reserve the right to cancel a booking made online if this may be the case. If you are unsure if your booking is suitable, please give us a call and we can discuss!

Suitable For:
Adults - Min Age to Stay: 25 Sorry, we will not accept groups of guests under 25 years of age.
Babies, Kids & Teens We welcome kids and families.
Celebrations & Special Events We welcome special events. Please contact us for details.
Groups Renting Multiple Properties We allow groups renting multiple properties to use the common areas of our property, such as the dining or living area.
Long Term Renters (Monthly) We may accept long term renters. Please contact the owner for more details.
No Smoking Inside - Smoking Outside Permitted We allow smoking on our patios. Please use the ashtrays provided and ensure all cigarettes are extinguished. Any smoking inside the home will be subject to extensive cleaning fees at our discretion.
People with Restricted Mobility Property access and interior are suitable for persons of restricted mobility. Feel free to contact us for details.

Not Suitable For:
Graduation & Stag/Stagette Parties Absolutely no grad, stag or stagette parties allowed. Absolutely no staff parties or parties of any kind that include bringing in large numbers of outside guests.
Non-Smokers Only Absolutely no smoking inside the chalet. Harsh penalties may apply if this policy is broken.
Pets No pets allowed in high season. Pets may be allowed in off seasons but will be charged $20/pp/nt extra. Pets must be ok'd by owner before booking.
Smoking Inside Permitted No smoking is allowed inside our property.
Subleased Tenants Subleasing to other tenants not permitted.
Young Adult Groups 17-24 With Accompanying Age-Eligible Adult(s) Young adult groups age 17-24 are not permitted, even if accompanied by adults who meet our 25 yr minimum age requirement. No exceptions.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

We reserve the right to cancel any booking made online. You will be subject to the 4% booking fee. It is in your best interest to contact the owner prior to making an online booking to ensure the property meets your needs and that your booking is suitable for the lodge. Booking online DOES NOT guarantee our acceptance of your booking.
This detail has been added this year as we have experienced several recent booking attempts by underage or unsuitable guests. These comments are not meant to deter our favourable family clientele.

Arrival Days Check-in and arrival instructions will be emailed upon balance payment.
Cancellations Made by Guests All payments are non-refundable. Refunds will be issued for re-booked dates at the re-booked price and are subject to a 4% cancellation fee. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights or vacation-related products.
Cancellations Made by Owners We reserve the right to cancel your booking due to a late payment or if you violate any of our published policies. All payments are non-refundable. We reserve the right to cancel any booking made online before screening with owner. Deposits may be returned if chalet is not suitable.
Courtesy Hold Reservations Reservations may be held, but must be discussed with owner.
Delayed Arrivals No refunds. We are not responsible for circumstances which result in delayed arrivals. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights or vacation-related products.

Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Guest Identification Documents We and our in-resort contacts reserve the right to ask all Guests for identification (one with photo) before or during their stay, to confirm their eligibility to book and stay in our property.
Guest Stay Contract By reserving online via your credit card, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. By clicking the AGREE button when paying online, you acknowledge that you have legally accepted, read, understood, agree with, and will comply with our publicly advertised policies (including payment terms) on our web site.
Ineligible Guests: 24 Hour Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments Failure to pay by the due dates will result in automatic cancellation without a deposit refund. Guests can re-book dates if they are still available; deposit will not be re-charged.
Privacy The Owner, their booking Contact and this web sites technical administrators agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of their Guests without prior written consent from the Guests, except under force of law, or for law enforcement purposes relating to policy and property violation. The Owner and their booking Contact also agree to not use Guest personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Guests. Guests agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of the Owner or their booking Contact without prior written consent from the Owner and/or Contact, except under force of law or for law enforcement purposes. Property Sale In the event that the new Owners do not honor your booking, I will make every effort to relocate you to a comparable property at no additional expense to you.
Reservation Changes Please contact us if you need to lengthen or shorten your reservation, and we will do what we can to accommodate. Changes are not guaranteed, and refunds may be treated in accordance with our cancellation policy.

Guest Stay Policies

The person who books the lodge is ultimately responsible for any additional charges that may occur as a result of the stay. We are a family run chalet and are onsite after every booking. It is our practice to take photographs and collect evidence to provide to guest of additional charges.

The hot tub is provided for the enjoyment of your stay. However, you will be charged if excessive use occurs such as spills, excessive dirt or anything that requires that the hot tub be drained and refilled. If this occurs, we do not guarantee that the hot tub will be up to temperature in time for re-use. In these cases, a minimum $80 charge may apply.

PLEASE NOTE: As with many of the chalets at Sun Peaks, Schleppes has a basement suite that is rented on a yearly basis. The suite is separate from the chalet in that the tenants cannot access the chalet and enter/leave from their private entrance. The tenants are professional people who work for Sun Peaks Corporation.  

Policies:
Amenity Terms of Use Please respect all private and common amenities of the property. Damage or excessive cleaning to any amenity will be charged to the Guest responsible.

Check-In Time 4:00 pm Early check-in may be available. Request must be discussed with owner within 1 week of booking date.
Check-Out Time 10:00 am Late check-out may be permitted only if discussed with owner ahead of booking. Unpermitted late check-outs will be subject to penalty fee.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Guests authorize a credit card charge for excessive cleaning costs.
Excessive Noise Sun Peaks has a noise bylaw. Quiet time is 11pm and excessive noise after this may result in charges. Any charges or tickets incurred by Schleppes Mtn Lodge as a result of your stay will be charged to the booking party.
Forgotten Items by Guest We will make every effort to get any lost items that we recover back to you however, are not responsible for any lost or missing items.
Garbage Removal Guests are responsible for separating recycling and garbage.
Housekeeping Provided before arrival and after departure. Additional housekeeping may be available on request at your expense.
Internet Availability & Usage Illegal downloads forbidden. Should we receive notification that such activity has occurred, the Guest responsible will be immediately evicted and charged for damages.
Liability The person that books the chalet is responsible and liable for all damages, excessive cleaning, late check-outs and for ensuring that these policies are respected and adhered to. Guest releases property owners from liability for theft or injury while on the property, while in transit to or from the property, or on resort lands

Missing Items Guests authorize a credit card charge for missing items.
Noise Restrictions No noise after 10pm. If the lodge incurrs any violation ticket to Noise Bylaw, these charges will be passed along to the person who booked the lodge.
Parking & Ticketing Parking is provided in the driveway. We can accommodate up to 4 vehicles. There are 2 spots available to basement suite tenants on the very right of driveway. Please do not park there. We are not liable for any parking tickets or towing fees you may incur.
Policy Updates Policies are subject to change without notice.
Property Damage Property damage of common or private property includes: physical damage, excessive cleaning, defacing property, excessive noise, littering, lude public behavior, missing items/theft. Guest agrees to pay up to $3000 CAD for all private or common property damage caused by the Guest themselves, or a member of their party. Guests may also be evicted.Refunds will not be issued in the event of eviction. Owner reserves the right to request Guest account inactivation.

Local Tips

About Us

Schleppes Mountain Lodge was built in 1998 by four friends who had a love of skiing and a drive to start their entrepreneurial careers. After a lot of labour, a lot of learning and a lot of life, Schleppes has become the focal point in keeping the boys and their new families together.

Les and Danya Leduc have 2 small children and together with Les' parents, Gene and Sylvia Leduc, manage the business. Les and Danya manage the bookings while Sylvia manages the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of the lodge.

Kelly and Wendy Moss live in Vancouver and also have 2 small children. They come up to Sun Peaks for holidays and Kelly spends some of his summer working with Sylvia on the bigger projects that keep the chalet sparkling!

Dominic Dimaulo lives in Kamloops and works out of town. Dom brings his 2 boys up to the lodge on weekends off and is in charge of the corporate side of the business.

While Travis Abbey is no longer a business partner in Schleppes, he lives up at Sun Peaks with his wife Monica and daughter Zoe giving us all an excuse to head up to Sun Peaks as often as we can!!
