Food

For better value and selection, pick up your food, beer and wine in Kamloops before heading up to Sun Peaks. Kamloops has many large grocery and liquor stores, including a Costco at the edge of the city, off of the Trans Canada By-Pass.

If you do end up waiting until Sun Peaks to get your grocery items, be prepared to pay a premium for a limited selection. There are 3 grocery stores in Sun Peaks:

• Three Mountains Market & Sundance Liquor Store - a small size grocery store. Located in the Fireside Lodge they provide bakery goods, deli meats, cheeses, fresh produce, soups, meals to go and a selection of liquor.
• Roxy’s Market - more like a convenience store with all the necessities. Located in the Sundance Lodge at the base of the mountain, with a small selection of staple grocery items, movie rentals and basic drug store items.
• Bluebird Market - opened in February 2008, this grocery store features 3500 square feet of take away, dairy, meat, specialty, in-season local produce and staple departments. Find the Bluebird Market in the Delta Residences Lodge.

Lift Tickets

Ski resorts make money by pre-selling lift tickets at a discount. They do that because most people buy more days than they actually use! It is called up-selling.
