Sun Peaks is located 40 minutes northeast of Kamloops. There is convenient shuttle bus service from the Kamloops Airport.
Sun Peaks village is located in a valley surrounded on all sides by spectacular mountains. The 18 hole golf course runs the length of the village. Stone's Throw is located on the 16th hole in the newly developing East Village area.
Here is the Ritchey clan at McGillivray Lake for a picnic in the summer.

 Property Description

Our 3 bedroom townhome has two levels with the main living area, two bathrooms and two bedrooms on the main floor and a large and private enclosed loft upstairs. It has a beautiful open design with the kitchen, dining room and living room forming a "great room" that is perfect for socializing with friends and family. There are 20 foot windows in the living room that provide spectacular views of Mt. Morrissey to the southwest. Private laundry facilities located in the ensuite ensure that you don't have to take your whole wardrobe - just what you need. There is underground parking for two vehicles with stair access right to the front door of the unit.

Kitchen

The kitchen has all the features of home. It has the usual appliances, both large (stainless fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher) and small (coffee maker, cappucino maker, kettle, blender, popcorn maker, toaster, crock pot). Of course, there is also a full supply of dishes, cutlery, pots and pans. We try to keep it stocked with the common spices so you don't have to worry about bringing them. There is enough cupboard and refrigerator space for food for a full week.

Living Area

The living room is, in a word, comfortable. There is plenty of room to spread out and relax - sitting by the fire, listening to music, watching a movie on the 37" LCD tv or simply enjoying each other's company. Of course, you can simply put your feet up and take in the views of Mt. Morrissey through the 20 ft. high windows in the living room.

Dining Area

The dining area is right beside the kitchen making any meal easy to serve and clean up. The table can comfortably seat 6 people or add the leaf to seat 8. An eating bar beside the table provides room for 3 more.

We have many features that will make your stay easy and enjoyable - including a private hot tub, private wireless internet, a cappucino maker, gas fireplace, phones, 3 TVs and a 5 CD/DVD player, over 30 DVDs, over 200 CDs and many family games.

 Amenities

The biggest advantage of Stone's Throw is the convenient access to everything. Less than 100 steps from our door you can ski down the 16th fairway to the Mt. Morrissey Chair. At lunch, or at the end of the day, you can ski-in from the Sundance Chair. If you want to go out for dinner, or just visit the village to shop or look around, it is a less than 10 minute walk. The skating rink is a 5 minute walk. When it is time to relax, we have tried to provide all of the comforts of home. You can sit in front of the gas fireplace, in the hot tub or just enjoy a variety of movies and music which we have provided. The hot air popcorn popper will help ensure that your movie nights are complete. The blender is always handy for those drinks or smoothies that you just can't do without. If you are cold, make yourself a cappucino or latte. Set up the crock pot in the morning and your meals will be ready when you return. For those of you who need to keep in touch, we have set up a secure wireless network that will allow you to have access to the internet and email via highspeed broadband. And don't worry about packing your entire closet. Bring only what you need and use the laundry facilities to keep everything clean and fresh.

Cancellations Made by Guests We will only be able to provide you with a refund if we are able to find someone else to fill your spot.
Delayed Arrivals Delayed arrivals are acceptable although we cannot extend your stay as a result of any delay in arriving.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Information Package. Delivered within 7 days of reservation confirmation.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Will be charged back.
Excessive Noise We trust everyone will respect our neighbours. In the event of excessive noise complaints we reserve the right to terminate the reservation.
Garbage Removal Leave outside door before 9:00 am and will be picked up daily.
Housekeeping Before arrival and on departure.
Liability We cannot accept any liability for injuries which occur on our premises.

Maintenance Emergencies In the event of an emergency, we have a local manager available by phone.

This is a picture of the family after a bike ride to McGillivray Lake. Leslie and Grant are the older ones and Adam, Liam and Lauren are the cute ones. We live in North Vancouver and love the outdoors so Sun Peaks is the perfect family place for us.
