Property Description

Our home is on three levels. Starting with a cozy den on the ground level, there is a sectional sofa with a full size pull out bed, TV/VCR/DVD, and armoire. This den also has a computer station and bathroom. Second floor or main entry level provides an open kitchen , dining area and living area with a river rock gas fire place plus a large deck. An entertainment center provides TV/VCR/DVD and a stereo. There is a bathroom by the entry. Upstairs on the third level are three bedrooms with two bathrooms, one being ensuite. The laundry unit is outside the master bedroom. The guest bedroom offers a queen bed, dresser, TV/VCR, and a wonderful view of Tod Mountain. The childrens room has two bunk beds, dresser, TV/VCR, and Playstation 2 for entertainment. The master bedroom has a queen bed, armoire with TV/VCR/DVD, a small balcony, and a spectacular view of the golf course and Mount Morrisey.

Living Area

Warm open living room with two comfortable sofas by the fireplace. Across from them, two leather club chairs just cry out to be nestled in. Whether reading a good book or watching a great movie from the entertainment center, you can't help but relax. The entertainment center is flanked by two book cases for your perusal of DVD's, books, puzzles or games. Last but not least, you may prefer to just sit back in the recliner and watch skiers carve turns down Mt. Morrisey. Cathedral ceilings and tastful decore will add to your enjoyment and hopefully bring you back.

Dining Area

The dining room spans the area between the kitchen and the living room. We wanted a large rustic country table that family and friends could gather around. We can seat up to ten at the table and two more at the kitchen bar. A large buffet provides great counter space when entertaining.

McGillivray Creek townhomes is nestled at the base of Mt. Morrisey, one of Sun Peaks three mountains. Our unit is located next to the 17th hole of the golf course's back nine, with the Valley Trail just outside our back door. In winter, a three minute walk along the Valley Trail takes you to the outdoor skating rink, two more minutes and you are at one of the grocery stores, the sports center (outdoor pool, etc.) and the beginning of the Village itself. We are ski in/ski out to Mt. Morrisey. From there one can easily access the other mountains and ski areas of Sun Peaks. The XC trails pass right by our town home and are great for snowshoeing as well. In summer, sitting on the deck observing golfers tee off the 17th hole is only surpassed by being out on the course itself. Mountain biking, canoeing, and fishing are a few of the favorite summer activities. Also of course there are many hiking trails and wonderful places to explore!

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Cancellations Made by Guests Cancellations within 14 days of booking subject to a 10% cancellation fee. After 14 days all deposits and payments are non refundable unless booking can be replaced by another guest. Any refunds will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee.

Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Emailed to you upon receipt of final payment.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Ineligible Guests Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Reservation Changes No refunds after final payment. We will make every attempt to accomodate any reservation changes based upon availibility of unit. Guests can rebook reservation based on availability and all payments will apply to new reservation.

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Guests authorize credit card charge at check-in, in the event of cleaning costs beyond what is customary and usual for length of stay. Please remove all shoes/boots before entering living areas.
Excessive Noise Repeated complaints of excessive noise are grounds for eviction with no refund. Please respect the rights of those around you and the quiet atmosphere of the McGillivray luxury townhome area.
Garbage Removal Provided. Please leave garbage to be removed in garage.
Housekeeping The unit is thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival and upon your departure. Additional housekeeping during your stay may be arranged. Please contact us to your needs and associated costs.
Liability We are not responsible for any bodily injury or harm to guests or guests of guests while they are on our property or at any location at Sun Peaks Resort.

Don't Forget

Fill up your gas tank before you arrive As you enter Kamloops, don't forget to stop off at Costco, or my favorite "has everything store" Save-On-Foods, to pick up most of your groceries for your stay. Fill up with gas at the Husky station on the right, before heading up the mountain, as it is one of the last gas stations until you come back down.

Very spacious, nice private back yard, great hottub location. Kitchen was very well stocked with everything we could ever want/need. So close to Morrisey Chair. Lots of parking, easy access to village. Would definitely stay here again. We come to SunPeaks every year, this was one of the nicest places we've rented.

The hot tub was not working properly and had been an issue we wish we would have known about. It was too cold then way too hot on our 2nd day. The hot tub cover needs to be replaced as some would not be able to lift it to get it open. Otherwise a great place.

We have stayed at this home on several occasions. As a family of 4 and also with an additional family of 5. The home is super cozy, tastefully decorated, comfy beds and fully equipped. We prefer to ski on the Morrisey so it's great for our family. Very short walk to Morrisey and easy ski in. About a 10 min walk to main village. We will be back.
