Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Policy Description
Cancellations Made by Guests Cancellations accepted 45 days prior to arrival. Cancellations less than 45 days prior to arrival: if we are able to rebook with another guest, a $50 fee is charged. However, if we are unable to rent your condo, you are responsible for the full amount of the reservation. Reservation deposit are non-refundable for all cancellations.
Delayed Arrivals Please advise owner if delayed. Guests will not be refunded if arrival is delayed
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Our Guest Handbook along with check-in instructions will be emailed to you 7 days prior to your check-in date.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site

Guest Stay Policies

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Noise $100 fine or eviction.
Housekeeping Housekeeping included for the end of your stay when booking min nights or more. Guests are expected to leave the ski condo in the same condition you found it, including cleanliness.
Liability The Owner shall not be responsible for any personal injury or loss, however caused, which shall be sustained by the Renter or any other persons who may be on or about the premises. All risks of any such injury or loss are being assumed by the Renter, who shall hold the Owner harmless and indemnified therefrom.

Property Damage Guests are responsible for breakage, missing items or for any incidents of non-compliance with the rental (including cleaning costs). Benefits of our Property

Are there any other services you offer free for your guests? Local phone calls are always free. Hotels routinely charge $1.00 per call and even charge when you use their phone for a long distance call when using your own credit card. There is never a charge for using our phone for long distance calls billed to your calling or credit card.
Is the ski condo air conditioned? It can get quite warm in Whistler in the summer months. Although few condos are air conditioned in the village, our ski condo is air conditioned for your comfort.
What if the rental rates change? We will honour all rates posted on our web site at the time that your reservation request is submitted.

Is smoking allowed? Our ski condo is smoke free. Please do not smoke cigarettes, cigars, or pipes inside. If you must smoke, please do so on the balcony outside the ski condo.

Reservations

How do we make a reservation? View availability on the calendar located on the Availability Page. Then simply click on "Reserve Now" located on the top of the page to submit your reservation. You will be contacted by email to confirm final availability.
What kind of payment is required for our reservation? Reservation Deposit - 25% of the total reservation is due at time of booking. Balance of Payment - Full remainder due 45 days prior to arrival. Damage Deposit - $500.00 charged up to this maximum after departure if property is damaged, requires excessive cleaning, or if items are missing. Full Payment - Due at time of booking for reservations less than 45 days prior to arrival.
What is the purpose of Damage Deposit? A damage deposit is to ensure compliance with the Terms and Conditions. All or part of the damage deposit may be used for any breakage, missing items or for any incidents of non-compliance with the rental (which may include cleaning costs).
What are Guests responsible for? Naturally, you are responsible for damage you may cause to our ski condo whether it is caused intentionally or unintentionally. By allowing your credit card to be charged for your initial deposit and payment, you agree to accept this rule as a condition of rental. To date, we have never had to charge a guest's credit card as our guests are responsible and treat our ski condo as if it were their own. By damage, we do not mean the occasional wine glass or plate that may be dropped and broken. But, in this example, if the wine from the glass should stain the carpet, you would be charged for having the stain removed.

Check-In

How do we get the check-in info? We will send you a guest handbook and check-in instructions via email upon reservation.
How do we check-in? At the Deer Lodge lobby (4314 Main St) between Sutton Realty & Can Ski. We request a credit card from all guests upon check in, we preauthorize the credit card for $500 which acts as a deposit.
What is the check-in time? After 4:00 pm.
Can we check-in early? Please check with us a few days before you arrive. If someone is leaving on your arrival day, then we cannot guarantee that it will be ready before 4:00 pm. Sometimes, you can check in early-please inquire!

Checking Out

What is the check out-time? Before 11:00 am
Can we check-out late? Please inquire with us as few days before your arrival if you want to check-out late. It may be possible.
How do we check out? Return all keys to their original place and lock up. Our ski condo will be inspected right after your departure.

Housekeeping

Who cleans the ski condo? Housekeeping is included for the end of your stay when booking 3 nights or more. Guests are expected to leave the ski condo in the same condition you found it, including cleanliness.
Do we need to bring anything with us from home, such as towels, sheets, etc.? Our ski condo is fully equipped with towels and bedding: please bring soap, shampoo, etc.

Emergencies

What if something goes wrong? We have 24 hour emergency support. Contact information is provided in the guest handbook.
What if the property is not cleaned when we get there? If it is after 4 pm, something likely went wrong. Contact us, and we will fix it immediately. If we are unable to do so, there is a complete set of clean linens in the property, and the property will be properly cleaned first thing the next morning.

Needs new carpet desperately. Noisy location.

Pros: Large balcony with patio furniture and BBQ, spacious bathroom (which seemed clean), decent sized condo and relatively spacious for 2 people, convenient and central location in the Village, free parking and bike storage. The kitchen is relatively well equipped to meet basic needs. Cons: Noisy. Unit is on 2nd floor, facing the village stroll and located directly across from Garfinkel's (which is probably a good thing for young people who want to party. Not so good for us old people who just want to get some sleep after a day of hiking, biking, walking, exploring). People milling about outside, talking loudly and smoking until 3am. The card reader for the building entrance was not operating (apparently for weeks according to other tenants) and we could not enter the building after check-in. We had to go back to the check-in counter, which is in another building Deer Lodge, to obtain a code to enter our building Bear Lodge. Unit is dated but that isn't an issue IF the place is clean. Unit was very dusty. They tried to cover up the musty scent with overpowering artificial room fragrance. Carpet is very dirty and in desperate need of replacement. Sofas / futon / murphy bed in rough shape, did not look or feel clean and should be replaced. Bedding / bed linens are old and scratchy. Towels were plentiful but thin. The only room that seemed clean, thankfully, was the bathroom. Air conditioner is noisy and blows away from the rest of the condo towards the balcony door and consequently takes a long time to cool (yes, we closed all the doors and windows). It was during one of the hottest weekends in Whistler. Overall, the cons were far greater than the pros and the stay was disappointing, especially since the unit had so much potential.
