Welcome to our home away from home in Whistler,BC at Greystone Lodge. It is a ski in ski out condo with a five minute walk or two minute ski to Blackcomb Base. There is free parking in the secure underground parking area. You can reserve your vacation stay by clicking RESERVE NOW. Our rates are very competitive, and our multiple rates vary with number of nights of stay, which reflect significant discounts for longer stays.  For minimum night stay less than three nights, a separate cleaning fee of $75 will be charged.  As we are private owners, we do not charge additional hotel or resort taxes.  All costs are accurately reflected in the posted rates below, except the 5% tax by Canadian goverment (GST) effective April 1, 2013.  Please refer to individual rate categories and their descriptions.

 Property Description

Our ground level, two bedroom condo in Greystone Lodge, is comfortable and well furnished. The master bedroom has a King size bed that can be split to two twin beds upon request.  In this bedroom is also a small reading area and leads directly to patio outside.  Just outside the master bedroom is a bathroom that includes a shower.  On the other side of the living room, is a large bedroom with full bathtub and shower en suite.  This bedroom has two queen beds, a full size cabinet/dresser for clothes and storage, and a regular sized closet.  Both bedrooms hav cable TV with DVD.  The living area with fireplace has a queen size sofa bed, stereo/CD, cable TV, DVD, VCR.  Wireless internet is throughout the condo.  Dining area seats six. Fully equipped kitchen will allow for your meal preperation, service, eating and clean up to be simple and efficient, all you need to do is bring the food. Afterwards sit on the patio and relax or you may want to go down to the heated pool, the outdoor hot tub or sit in the comfort of the glass enclosed indoor hot tub in Greystone Lodge.  For your convenience restaurants, gift shops, ski/bike/outdoor clothing shops, pub, beverage store and more are all located within a short walk from Greystone Lodge. Down the hill, a small convenience/grocery store is located  in Intrawest Lodge and the Mallard Room in Whistler Chalet with its outdoor fireplaces and evening musical entertainment are also close by. Most important to remember, is that we are 2 minutes walk (or ski) to the Blackcomb base and ski down the hill to the Blackcomb base lifts, or a short hop to Whistler, if you prefer skiing .

Living Area

Living area is roomy with entrance to patio. Gas fireplace provides a cozy ambiance as well as capacity to heat the unit in a hurry. There is a cable TV/w VCR, DVD, CD/AM/FM stereo, free wireless internet throughout, large sofa which pulls out to a queen bed and two comfortable sitting chairs.

Dining Area

Dining area is adjacent to kitchen for easy food service. There is comfortable seating for six around the large dining table.

Special Features

Greystone Lodge is a ski-in/ski-out condo with a short (2 min) ski or walk down to the  Blackcomb Wizard lift. This will give you access to Blackcoomb Mtn and Whistler, as well as easy access to the cross country ski area. Secure, free, underground parking is provided. One heated outdoor hot tub, a large heated in door hot tub and heated pool to use after a day of sking/boarding. 10 great Blackcomb restaurants within a 5 min walk. A short 8-10 min walk to Whistler village or catch the free bus just outside the building.

Free village bus service is available.  Nearest bus stop is across the street in front of Marquise Lodge.

We are a short walk (5 minutes) to one of the premiere golf courses in Whistler.  Easy access to hiking, walking and bike trails. We have a secure bike storage area in underground parking garage.

Our condominium home has a full bath with shower and tub as well as a second bath with shower. There is a large master bedroom with cable TV and DVD player, and a very large second bed room also with TV and DVD player; a gas fireplace in living room, deck (patio), fully equipped kitchen, dining area seating for 6,  CABLE TV/VCR, DVD, CD/AM/FM stereo, complimentary local phone use for guests all in a roomy and spacious condo unit. We have FREE wireless internet in the unit as well as throughout the condo. FREE undergound secured parking; Greystone Lodge has a heated pool, two hot tubs, ski storage lockers assigned to rooms, and a locked caged area in the secure parking area for bike storage.

Greystone Lodge is on Blackcomb Benchlands on Spearhead Drive. It is conveniently located for easy access (2 min walk/ski) to skiing/boarding in winter, as well as easy access (5 min walk) to golf, biking, walking and hiking in the other seasons. Eating out, shopping for groceries or that unique Whistler item can be accomplished within a five to ten minute walk, depending on if you want to shop the Benchlands or Whistler Village and surronding area.

We do charge a damage deposit at time of booking. We require that a FULLY refundable damage deposit of Can$ 250 be remitted by personal cheque or money order directly to owner by mail prior to arrival or through on line payment. Further, by booking with us, you grant us authority to charge your credit card up to $750 for damage/missing property or late departure without prior coordination.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Policy Description
Cancellations Made by Guests Deposit payment non-refundable. Balance payment is refundable, less 4% transaction fees, if booking is cancelled 60 days or greater in advance. Reservations cancelled 59 days or less in advance are refunded only if we replace your booking. These refunds issued the first day of your (cancelled) arrival where applicable.
Courtesy Hold Reservations We do not hold reservation without payment. Payment is required for reservation confirmation
Delayed Arrivals Contact owners as soon as arrival delay is known. Refunds not applicable
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information emailed when balance of payment and refundable damage deposit is fully paid. Late arrangements for last minute reservations can be coordinated.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Guest Stay Contract Confirm by email or telephone.
Ineligible Guests: 24 Hour Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments Failure to pay by due date will result in cancellation of reservation and forfeiture of deposit. Can re book , if available and no new deposit required. Some exceptions do apply, please notify if this may happen
Privacy The Owner, their booking Contact and this web sites technical administrators agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of their Guests without prior written consent from the Guests, except under force of law, or for law enforcement purposes relating to policy and property violation. The Owner and their booking Contact also agree to not use Guest personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Guests. Guests agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of the Owner or their booking Contact without prior written consent from the Owner and/or Contact, except under force of law or for law enforcement purposes. Property Sale All bookings will be preserved in the event of property sale.
Reservation Changes Contact owners regarding changes. We will try to work with you if changes are made 30 days prior to arrival.

Guest Stay Policies

Policy Description
BBQ Not Permitted Gas BBQ is availaable for guest use on pool deck. Not allowed in unit patio due to fire hazard. If you use BBQ please clean it for next user.
Bike Storage No bikes are allowed in the unit at any time. Secure bike storage available in undergroung parking garage. no bikes are authorized in the unit or in the hall ways of Greystone Lodge. Failure to comply will result in implimentation of Strata policy of eviction or fine.
Check-In Time 4pm. Earlier check-ins may be possible-please confirm
Check-Out Time 10am. Later departures may sometimes be arranged depending on follow on guests. You will be charged $35 if our cleaners arrive and you are still in the suite
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Tennants action,excess debris/garbage/ recycle material, unsanitary activities could result in additional cleaning charges. The additional cleaning fee will be borne by the rental guest and may be deducted from the damage deposit.. After owner representative or cleaners verify requirement, guest will be notified of extra cost and fee will be deducted from damage deposit or charged to credit card.
Excessive Noise Excessive noise will not be tolerated in the resort. Complaints will result in eviction. Resort By-Law police will respond to complaints. Quiet times in the Greystone Lodge are 10 PM-8AM
Garbage Removal All renters are requested to remove excess trash prior to departure. Please take garbage and recycle material to the bins located on the G level at the end of the hall. Follow the signs
Housekeeping Includes clean on arrival; cleaned after departure; mid week clean for stays of 10 days or more. Additional cleaning may be scheduled at the guest's request and expense
Internet Availability & Usage Free WIFI available in unit. Guests have free access
Liability We are excluded from liability for personal bodily injury in our home, in transit, or while on resort property.
Locking Door Front and patio doors are not self locking. Guest must lock door and front door requires access code to open. It is imperative that guests know unit door code. Front desk does not have that information.. If you forget code contact owners.
Maintenance Emergencies Contacts posted in unit.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 8 people overnight. Exceeding limit is cause for eviction with additional cost to renter
Missing Items Cleaning team conducts survey after each guest. If you are missing an item please contact us ASAP. If item is located and renter or guest requests shipping. Charges will be made to deposit for handling and shipping.
Noise Restrictions Noise complaints will be handled per whistler noise code policies. Should local authorities be called in they are authorized to fine or if necessary evict guests that break the Whistler noise restriction policies.
Parking & Ticketing Free secure underground parking available. There is a height restriction getting into the parking of 6'8
Policy Updates Policies are subject to change without notice.
Property Damage Renters responsibility. Guest will pay for all damage incurred even if the offender is hosted by the guest.

On a Personal Note

Our favourite season in Whistler and why. Winter sports are of course why many come to Whistler but we prefer the late spring, summer ana early fall seasons. Besides fishing, biking and hiking there are outdoor restaurants to sit at, sip a beer and watch the people. There are he numerous biking and hiking trails for all levels of participants. The lakes are great for swimming but the best time i when I take out my float tube and fly cast for trout on Nitka lake.

Best things to see on the way to Whistler The beauty of Howe Sound, Porteau Cove with clean toilet and picnic area, the mining camp prior to Furry Creek, The numerous eagles in Brackendale(Jan_Feb)
What I like about the drive The beauty of Howe Sound, the sections along the rivers, numerous parks and glades to pull over, the hwy maintenance crews that keep the road way clean of snow, The DUI stops by the RCMP out of Vancouver and in Whistler.
Worst thing about the drive The stretch along Howe Sound is beautiful but there are still some twisty/turny areas with sharp curves. There is no longer alot of construction. The Hwy 99 is heavily patrolled, especially on weekends. Drive the speed limit but watch out for speeders in a hurry to get to or from Whistler.

Best places to go swimming Meadow Park year round Lost Lake and Alta Lake beaches in the summer
Best rainy day activities Cozy up and read a book in the unit. Check out the Library/Museum in Village, Take in a movie. Go to the Meadow Park Sports center for swimming, workout, skating.
Funky stores Three years ago, my wife and I are bike riding from Lost Lake. I see a bear cross the trail in front of us. I stop and my wife pulls up also. She says that is a big dog. When I told her it was a bear she got a bit excited but we continued our ride, in a different direction.
Great walks to take Trails to Lost Lake and around lake. Village stroll on a nice day
My favorite mountain biking trails As a beginner biker I like the trails around Lost Lake, some of the new trails between the Lake and the Village that climb up the hills between the two, out toward the Nickolas Golf Course and the ride from Meadow Park to Alta Lake and back.
Places to work out Meadow Park Sports Centre or downstairs in Glacier Lodge(limited equipment)
Top three must see/must do attractions Free mountain ski tours based on skier ability(AM/PM on each mountain) First Trax Breakfast and ski in early AM, Zip Trek(not for faint of heart) add a fourth which would be the gondola between the two mountains. It is breath taking.

Susan and I have owned in Whistler for over 15 years and have enjoyed all seasons in this fabulous resort. Skiing is one of our favorite sports but we also enjoy the hiking, walking, tennis, fishing and biking found in the spring/summer/fall. We enjoy bringing other family members, our children and grand children to enjoy the beauty, the activity and the solitude of this mountain escape.
